"So Ares, you killed your sister and two of your cousins because you said you could lend them your ability to resurrect from death?" Zandra couldn't help but ask once again after calming down.

Imagined how shocked she was when she saw all of her great grandchildren were soaked in blood while one of them looked like a clueless blind kid on the bed.

"Yes, it seems it only effective if the people that are dead are loyal and have no negative feelings towards me. I'm still not sure if I can resurrect someone who had died for a longer period of time," Ares answered calmly.

"Fuhhh, it feels so thrilling. I felt like I was in pain one time, then I was floating before someone pulled me back and then I was jolted awake as if I just had a really thrilling dream," Karin explained her experience.

"It's more like a nightmare and at the end is you jumping off of a cliff before you're awoken abruptly from the dream," Adrian still seemed dumbfounded and tried to process everything slowly.

Zerisa didn't seem to mind much and acted normal. She seems unfazed at all with everything that had happened and just accepted it as if it was just a matter of fact.

The matriarch, Zameera and her husband Zen were sitting quietly while listening to what Zandra and Ares was talking about.

Zandra couldn't help but massage her temples, "Only people loyal to you huh? So it has restrictions? Of course. If you can resurrect just anybody, you're not human anymore but a God. Nonetheless you're the blessing of our family. We're not shocked, we're just...How should I describe this?"

"Elated," Karin said.

"Grateful," Zerisa said.

"Dumbfounded?" Adrian still looked confused.

Ares: You guy's reactions are not normal.

"Don't you feel afraid?" Ares picked a question.

All of them had the same exact expression at this moment: Confused.

"Why should we?" Zerisa asked.

"Because I killed you just to test my power. Doesn't that seem deranged to you?"

"I mean, you never act normal to begin with and isn't it better to kill other people than killing yourself? Ouch," Zen said before his arm was slapped by his wife.

"What do you mean it's better to kill people?"

"That's not what I really mean but you know what I actually mean right?" Zen knew he was bad at words and seeing that Ares never asked, he just assumed his youngest grandson understood what he meant.

".........." No I don't.

"By the way Ares, do your eyes still hurt?" Zameera asked and couldn't help but feel worried while looking at him.

"They are fine. I only need to rest my eyes for a day and I can take the bandages off tomorrow."

"Just take a day off tomorrow too since it will be the weekend the day after tomorrow. Take more rest and play with your newly hatched beast," Zen immediately took out a transparent glass cage with a red colored lizard inside it.

"This small guy hatched yesterday and when I wanted to call you, your sister already called me first and said you're injured. Be careful with that boy who splashed the holy water at you. We don't know who he really associated with and how he managed to get that holy water," Zandra reminded Ares carefully.

'Cedric obviously produced that holy water himself.' Ares thought while knowing how Cedric would become a Sun God's apostle in the future with holy power comparable to the Pope and that was why he was also considered the Saint and even that Prophet had less holy power than him.

"Is this a lizard? Why is it red?" Karin was curious.

"It looks more like a salamander," Zerisa commented.

Adrian who heard them couldn't help but said, "Is this a mutated one? Why did a lizard have a pair of wings?"

"Wings?" Ares who couldn't see felt weird.

"Sigh, it was unknown what type of beast this is. I immediately bring it here since it looks restless and once he gets near Ares, this guy seems to calm down. Maybe it's because we used Ares's blood while incubating it. Let's just wait until this guy grows up a bit," Zandra decided.

"Oh you can use your blood to incubate the egg?" Karin was excited.

"I tried with another egg but the inside died so I don't think just anyone or any eggs can use this method," Zandra said.

"Oh," Karin sounded disappointed.

"Ares, I actually think you need to know this but your classmate was called to attend a trial as a witness for that guy who splashed holy water on you since he was being accused to be a Djinn and they wanted you to attend but Eris already rejected it, saying that you need to rest," Adrian suddenly said.

"What?" What the hell did the protagonist do in the span of only one night and day?

Four days later.

"Student Cedric, today is your trial day. You're obligated to only say the truth and the truth only," one of the officers said before escorting him into a room that looked like a standard courtroom.

He knew he was still inside Heptagon.

"Student Cedric, you have met me before but I will still introduce myself. My name is Silver Pasha, the Vice Director of Heptagon and I will be the one to oversee your trial as a judge. On your right are the juries, made up of instructors, low level staff and third year students both commoners and nobles. On top, standing at the balcony is instructor Bergara, the Head Examiner and also the one who will detect if you're lying. The more you lied the less favorable the impression you can give to the juries so please only answer the truth."

"We also invited a few eye witnesses to help with this case. Do you want to say anything before we proceed, Student Cedric."

Cedric looked around and as he expected, the spectators' area was full and some even brought banners condemning him and asking him to be beheaded.

"I just want to say that I'm not a Demon or a Djinn. I will never forsake my humanity for anything. Yes, I'm an orphan and a commoner but my parents were killed by demons so why should I collude with the Demons. I hope the judge will not be partial and lead the session fairly."

"Of course. We also wanted to settle this issue completely. So student Cedric, do you have anyone that can testify to your claim?"

"Ares Targael or any of the Targael can testify for me."

"........."

"Why does he sound so confident?"

"How could I know?"

The spectators area started to buzz with many sounds of voices.

-Thud! Thud!

Silver knocked the small wooden hammer on her hand a few times, "Order, order, silent please. Student Ares Targael is on sick leave. It was a well-known fact that I assumed even the most ignorant commoners would know that Ares has had a weak body since he was born and something potent like Sun God Holy water almost caused him to faint and be hospitalized. You're lucky that the Targael doesn't want to pursue this issue after seeing your predicament right now but that doesn't mean they will help you."

"Isn't it their duty to apprehend any Demons and Djinns they encountered?"

"Are you insinuating that you know who the real Djinn is?"

"Yes."

"Is it instructor Jered Johnson?"

"Yes, but no one believed me."

"Why didn't you tell Ares about it?" Silver was curious about this certain point.

If Cedric already knew Jered was a demon why do nothing even when he had holy water with him?

"I thought he might run away. I already had a plan on how to capture him but was framed instead. There's also another Djinn other than Jered who I still don't know the identity of."

"So you're saying there's more than one Djinns inside the academy right now."

"Yes."

Silver glanced towards instructor Bergara who nodded his head lightly which meant Cedric was telling the truth.

"Ok you're telling the truth so with that we will call upon the first witness. Please come to the witness counter, student Jake Tirich."

A black haired, slightly tan skinned male student with black earring on his left ear came forward.

"Can you introduce yourself to the court?"

"My name is Jake Tirich from year one class Zero. I was sponsored by the Targael and I was also hired to be young master Ares's bodyguard and companion while he is in the academy."

"So Jake, can you tell us what happened during the combined magic class between year one class zero and class A?"

"Yes."

Based on Jake's account, Instructor Jered Johnson was teaching magic as usual before he called Ares to do a demonstration which Ares complied half-heartedly before sitting back at his seat. That was when Jered started to target Cedric which at first Cedric just went along with it until Jered started to call Ares again which made the spoiled young master annoyed and he burned Jered's wig.

"So our class argued with instructor Jered Johnson before he stomped out of class. I personally recorded everything that had happened since we all know that instructor Jered doesn't have the best personality and we didn't want to get punished unfairly when we did nothing wrong."

"So after that, was when Student Cedric splashed Sun God's holy water to Ares's eyes?"

"Yes. He first said it was a potion but when Ares refused, he opened the vial and it suddenly splashed into Ares's eyes."

"Do you know what kind of sickness Ares has? Or is it confidential?"

"It's not confidential as it was written on young master Ares's student record. His sickness is related to the overload of mana in his body. So he couldn't exert his mana too much or else his mana veins would explode one by one. So learning magic has always been a painful thing for him. That's why young master Ares needed to consume holy water from God of Death church every night to be able to sleep or else his mana might suddenly get tangled and go hay wired while he was sleeping. Sun God holy water contains so much vitality that it causes young master Ares to feel pain just like his mana veins exploding. In other words he couldn't be stimulated too much or he would lose control of his mana."

"........" Silver who never looked at any of the students file was stunned since he never knew why Ares was put in class Zero.

'Is that why they put him there? So he can just take it easy.'

If Ares was put in Class A under Cleopatra, most probably he needed to stand his ground and do his best all the time and that would hurt him in the process.

"So do you think that student Cedric meant to harm student Ares?"

Jake was silent for a moment before he said, "I don't know. My young master only tells me that Cedric is an idiot."

"An idiot?"

"Yes, if you want to know if someone is a Demon or a Djinn, just open his chest and gauge the heart out. An easier method is to shove holy water into that person's throat."

"Is that what student Ares said?" Silver tried to maintain her calm expression from cracking.

"Yes."

"Do you think student Cedric has any motive to kill those students?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Those Blood Supremacist students actually tried to bully him multiple times but he managed to beat them despite them being third years."

"A first year beating multiple third years? Does that make sense?"

"He is confirmed as a Djinn. That's the only reason why it is possible."

-Thud! Thud!

"Order, silent please. So student Jake, are you insinuating that student Cedric is probably a Djinn?"

"Sigh, like I said, let him drink the holy water. If he vomited blood he's a Djinn but if nothing happens, he's a human."

"But certain high ranking Djinns have a certain resistance towards holy water."

"Well a Djinn can't have holy power right? Young master Ares said he can sense holy power from Cedric."

"He has holy power?" How can you just sense if someone has holy power?

Silver was skeptical and she really hoped Ares could be the one to stand there at the moment.

"The Targael can sense demonic energy so why can't they sense holy energy?" Jake asked a question instead of answering. In actuality, he didn't know why Ares ordered him to say all those things.

"Officer, please bring in an energy detector orb into the courtroom," Silver instructed.

Within a few minutes, a transparent colored orb the size of a takraw ball was already being put in front of Cedric.

"Thank you student Jake for your honest statements. You can go sit back at your seat. Student Cedric, please put your hand on top of the orb and channel any energy you have and this orb will show what type of energy you have channeled into it."

Cedric knew action speaks louder than words thus without saying anything, he proceeded as he was told.

-Zing

A bright golden light started to come from the orb and illuminated the entire courtroom, blinding everyone's vision for a few seconds before it stopped when Cedric raised his hands from touching the orb.

"It really is holy power. This is an undeniable fact. Does any of the jury had anything to say?"

"Vice Director, we already confirmed that Instructor Jered Johnson wasn't a Djinn or Demon so can we really trust this student even-"

Cedric immediately cut off his words, "How can you be so sure? Did you open his chest and gauge his heart out? Or gave him holy water to consume?"

"We didn't-"

"So how are you so sure?"

-Thud! Thud!

"Order. Student Cedric please behave appropriately."

Silver could feel her head become dizzy. Everything was a mess. A talented student was framed and Jered's family and families of the dead students were demanding the academy to punish Cedric.

"The court will take a break. The jury and I will have a meeting. We will adjourn the court in an hour."

Silver and all the juries were all teleported elsewhere while Cedric and the spectators were waiting for the final verdict.

"Cedric, I know you're innocent. Stay strong," Abby cheered from the spectators area.

Those unsightly banners had all been taken down.

The only group of students Cedric didn't see was the class Zero's students. It seemed they had left after Jake finished his task as a witness.

An hour later.

Silver announced the verdict, "Seeing that you're really confident in this, we will capture Jered and examine him thoroughly but if he isn't a Djinn or Demon, you will be expelled from the academy."

"What? I was unfairly framed and if I was wrong about Jered, I will be expelled. What about the students Jered had mistreated all those years? Why didn't Jered ever get punished for being a bad and talentless magic instructor?" Cedric was furious.

"Jered will also be fired and banned from Heptagon forever even if he isn't a Demon or Djinn and that is my decision alone. I will also investigate any of the juries that have received bribes from Jered."

"!!!!!"

The juries were all shocked.

"Do you think just because I'm young, I don't know the backstage deal you guys have? Be prepared," Silver said before she ended the court session. She decided that it was the perfect time to clean the academy from all the rotten trashes.
