For the past few days I have been staying in this shed way on the far side of the enormous forest. Somehow being here feels much safer than if I were to be back at the dorm.

“ Oh hey Jewels, how are doing by any chance have you seen Yasmine she has not been returning my calls,” said Kai 

“ Wo-wait you have her number that aw-aw-awesome, hold up you have not heard from her, wait what. She was supposed to be with you on some romantic magical adventure,” said Jewels in a worrisome tone

“ We did go on a Non-romantical adventure, but it was an adventure for her at least, that was days ago she left without me all this time I thought she was with you,” said Kai

“ What happened to my Yasmine!” shouted Jewels as she held Kai by the throat

“ I-I-I can’t breathe,” said Kai softly 

“ I’m worried Kai, she never disappeared like this before I need to find her,” said Jewels as she released Kai

 

“ we will find her, let's search the forest she seems like the girl to loves adventurous things,” said Kai as he placed his hands on Jewels' shoulder to comfort her.

It feels so free here, being able to talk and fly with birds. I’m not being judged here nor am I being looked at. I wish I could stay here. I belong here.

Poor Jewels I wonder how devastated she must feel right now. I am so sorry but I had to do this for myself. Suddenly I feel safe nowhere, I feel very troubled.

“ Yasmine!!!” shouted Jewels as her voice echoed throughout the forest

Jewels I hear her, she is here! But how. Of course, Kai 

“ Jewels, awe I missed you so much,” I said as I flew towards her and hugged her

“Oh Yasmine you are okay, I was worried sick about you, why didn't you come home,” she asked in a worrisome tone

“ I don’t want to talk about it right now, don’t worry I am ok, let's go home,” I said to Jewels 

“ Wait where did Kai go” she said as she scanned our surroundings with her eyes

“ Kai? He led you here didn’t he?” I asked

 

“ Yes he did I must thank him, but he vanished and I didn't even get to thank him,” she said

“Don’t worry he will be at school, and you can thank him then” I reassured her

Kai”s Pov

 

No matter what Yasmine can’t see me, I have to capture her but in my heart, I just can’t do it. 

It feels cruel, she is not safe around me. I must stay hidden on the low for now. 

 

Why did this have to be my task, it feels like I am betraying my own kind. 

 

I remember the day my mother poisoned her sister just to get the throne and afterward, she held an innocent fairy man captive torturing him until his death

 

FLASHBACK TEN YEARS AGO 

“ Give me your wings!” said a female voice

“ Never,” said an old man 

“ Well then you leave me with no chance, I will remove them myself,” said the female voice

*Old man hollering in pain*

“ Mom what are you doing,” said little Kai

 

“ What are you doing here, leave at this instant, Zeke get your brother away from here,” said a female voice 

“ Help-help me,” said the old man

“Let's go, Kai,” said Zeke as he pulled Kai out of the room

“ What is mom doing, why is he hurting that man, he is a fairy-like us,” asked Kai 

“ He is a bad fairy, don’t worry lets go,” said Zeke 

 

“ No let's help him” 

“ snap out of it and let's go it's not safe for us Mom will be fine” shouted Kai as he continued to pull Kai

 

BACK TO THE PRESENT DAY 

I am a threat to her, Mom is a threat to her, and she is using me to get to her.

 

In order to protect her I need to leave this place.

But she will always find me.
