[Really though, congratulations Briana. I'm really proud of you.]

Sara patted her friend on the back as she said in all sincerity.

[So, what happens next?]

[Next Monday, there will be an introductory for all the trainees who passed. So, I guess I’ll probably learn more then.]

Briana said in explanation.

[I’ll also be moved into a trainee home at that time as well. I wonder who I’m going to be rooming with?]

[Hopefully not too many, I wouldn’t want too many people suffering from your loud snoring.]

Sara teased her friend, resulting in a swift slap to her shoulder; though it didn’t stop the laughs from tumbling out of her friend's mouth.

[I. Do. Not. Snore. Loudly!]

Briana pouted amidst her own laughter.

[Hahaha… Hmm...]

Sara couldn't help but laugh at the mix of feelings colouring her friends face, the mix of expressions painting a funny picture. However, Sara's laugh didn't last long before her voice eventually turned solemn and finally, she could only sigh belatedly.

[What’s wrong?]

Briana asked, worried by Sara's sharp change in mood.

[This means we’ll not be able to see each other too much in the future, huh…]

Sara sighed. Idol training, be they as actors or musicians, were well known as being time-consuming and hard work, with little free time afforded to the trainee. And if Sara were to go ahead with her own Idol training… The difficulties in meeting up with her best friend would just pile up even further…

[That’s… True…]

Briana sighed as well. As much as this life was her dream, being unable to interact with her friends like she used to was certainly not ideal.

[I’ll definitely make sure to text you often, I’ll even throw in a few video calls. Let’s not let something like this get in the way of our friendship, yeah?!]

With those words, Briana smirked brightly as she held out her pinkie finger.

Sara shook her head and laughed at the childish gesture but wrapped her own pinkie fingers around hers and shook their linked hands without hesitation.

[You're right, we've got this.]

Smiling, Briana nodded in agreement as the two finalised the pinkie promise…

With the clinging of a bell, a customer entered.

[Ah, I better g-]

Before she could finish, Sara’s mum suddenly interrupted:

[That’s okay honey, you can go out with your friend. I’ll handle the rest of the work.]

[B-]

Sara was about to refute, wanting to help her parents, but was once again refuted in a quick fashion.

Sighing, Sara could only give up in the opposition of her mother. Instead, she thanked her mum before leaving the store with Briana. Internally, she promised to pick up the slack later when she can.

[Hey, let’s have a jog to Sunflower Park. We’ll sit on the swings or something.]

Briana suggested.

“Sure, I’ve not got any better ideas. Hopefully, there won't many kids though. It's a Saturday after all. At least we don't have school next week. Ah, the benefits of exam break sure are nice~]

Sara sighed blissfully.

[Hey, speaking of which. Briana, are you still going to be able to take the exams, with all your trainee duties?]

[Yeah, I already spoke to the company, and they said I’d be able to take breaks for the exam times. I don’t know how well I’ll be able to do though with all of that going on though. Good thing I did well last year, I was able to snag a few good grades last year, so it shouldn’t matter too much.]

Briana remarked with a shrug before turning an inquisitive eye to Sara.

[I should ask you the same, that’s if you are going ahead with becoming an idol, however.]

[I-I’m still not sure… I’ve got a meeting with that Director Wallace tomorrow though.]

Sara answered, her hand coming up to scratch at her neck nervously.

[Sara.]

Sara was surprised by the sudden serious shift in her friend's tone and couldn't help but be taken a little aback as she stopped in place and turned to see that Briana had done the same, her gaze looking straight at Sara with a serious glint.

[…]

Sara was a little speechless in front of this gaze, having rarely seen this side of her friend before.

[Just promise me one thing for your own sake, don’t go making this decision half-heartedly. You’ll only be hurting yourself if you do…]

Briana declared solemnly; before quickly returning to her cheery self, a smirk forming on her lips as she continued:

[That being said, I’ve had to sit back and hear you grumbling about how you don’t know what you want to do with your life over and over again, and maybe this your destined job.]

[*sigh* You know I don’t believe in any of that destiny malarkey.]

Sara shook her head in exasperation, though a smile lit up her face regardless.

[Haha, I know. But it doesn’t mean what I said wasn’t right, this truly could be the opportunity you didn’t even know you needed.]

Briana smirked as she declared unabashedly.

[Hmm… Maybe.]

Sara absorbed her friend’s words seriously, letting the thought fester as the two walked silently but comfortably the rest of the way to Sunflower Park…

Later that day, after their time at the local park and after sending Briana off at her house, Sara was walking herself home when the sound of music began playing in her ears. Looking up, she saw an advertisement screen mounted upon the side of a tall building.

Sara knew that a lot of the content played on that screen was actually voted on by people online, mainly fans trying to get exposure for the group, company, product or individual they supported; mainly in the entertainment industry. This could be things such as a trailer for a movie/video game, a music video, or even a scene from a movie/tv show.

As long as it was approved, it could be played.

Usually, Sara would drown these out unless it was something that caught her ear.

What usually caught Sara’s attention was a good song or a movie trailer that looked interesting.

The reason Sara took interest in the video playing this time, was the former reason.
