Kael Michihiro POV

Meeting the main protagonist in person was probably something Kael had never thought about to date.

Right before my eyes Issei Hyoudou and Irina Shidou sat on the sofa and was talking to my mother in the other sofa about how delicious the cheesecake made by her cake shop was and inspired Irina to open a cake shop when she grew up

 

'So this is the protagonist who will influence the world later' Ars whispered in my mind since she could see what I remembered from my previous life even though she see it was a bit unclear 

'Yes, that's who they are, the male one will be the generation of red dragon emperors this time and the tomboyish looking woman will be one of the reincarnations of Michael's angel Ace and also the Issei harem part' Kael whispered in his head remembering what would happen to them in the future 

Immediately their conversation stopped for a moment because I came with my sister from the library after returning the book you read to its original place 

"Issei? Irina? I didn't know you guys would come so soon." Kael came and sat next to my mother and my sister followed beside me 

"Kael, at the right time, Issei and Irina's parents came to the shop to ask about your condition. I told them you were fine and they decided to come together to visit" My mother stood up from the sofa and went into the kitchen. "I'll prepare snacks. You just have to talk to them while I also prepare tea."

 

After my mother went into the kitchen, an awkward air filled the living room 

"So how are you guys? I hope the bully group doesn't target you when I'm not around." Kael tried to break the awkward air 

"That's no longer a problem, senpai. the teacher has contacted the bully's family for interrogation and it seems the problem has been solved" Irina answered Kael's question.

"That's good, I didn't blame them for the action because they were like that because their parents didn't pay enough attention to their children." Kael gave his opinion on this matter 

"So how is your health now, senpai?" Issei asked about Kael's condition 

"I'm fine. After a full day of rest, I'm back to normal I guess" Kael addressed his condition "So you don't need to worry about me."

 

"This is the first time you have brought a friend to visit our house."My little sister spoke up while using his smug expression as Kael, Issei, and Irina see towards Rahni's claim. "big brother always said you don't need friends if you just need a book to read" Rahni continue further made Issei and Irina speechless about this 

"Wait a second, since when did I say that?" Kael exclaimed and tried to remember when he said it before the day he got memories from previous life. "Even if I said that, I would rather spend my time reading than playing outside the house."

"Even so, in the end you brought a friend to home so, your pudding this week is for me" Rahni said full of victory as Kael expression immediately became panicked

"Mom, is it true that I said something like that?" Kael tries to confirm has he ever placed a bet with his sister "Well son you said that 2 weeks ago" mother said as she came in carrying tea and snacks from the kitchen and put these snacks on the coffee table before finally sitting back on the sofa between Kael and Rahni

Hearing this, Kael could only resign himself to not getting his portion of pudding this week "oh no, not my pudding"

"I didn't know senpai had a sweet tooth" said Irina while holding back chuckled 

"You can't blame me if every time mom tries to make a new cake it's always between me and Rahni become taste tester" Kael commented back "why don't you try my mom's cookies and you'll see why I have a sweet tooth"

Hearing this, Issei and Irina immediately took the cookies that were served. When they bite the cookies for the first time they were quite surprised by the taste of the cookies my mother made

 

"I now understand why you have a sweet tooth if every snack your mom make is this delicious." Issei said while munching on a cookie 

"That's right, I can eat this every day" Irina with an expression full of joy munching cookies

"Two more people have fallen on mom's cookies." Rahni said while taking the cookie that was served

Kael has to admit that mom's cookies and cakes are always delicious.

He also took the cookie and eat it 

"By the way senpai, you said you really like reading books, do you know any story books related to Christianity?" Irina said while eating another cookie

Kael just remembered that Irina grew up in an environment full of Christian teachings so she must have asked something like that. "If I'm not mistaken, there are picture books about stories that happened in the Old Testament at the family library I can lend it to you" Kael pointed towards the library room.

Hearing this, Irina was immediately interested in the books in the family library, "I have also read books related to the story of King David some day before" 

After finishing the cookies and tea provided by mother, Kael together with his sister took Irina and Issei to the library to show the collection of books collected by his family.Issei and Irina looked amazed at the collection of books in the library.

Kael immediately headed towards the bookcase containing Christianity to look for a book about King David to give to Irina.

Issei was still looking around the bookshelf while taking a book from the shelf about world legends. "By the way, senpai, do you have a valuable book collection?" he asked while turning the page of a book about English legends 

Hearing this Kael go to a bookshelf containing artbooks about the series kamen rider from the dashboard initial version 

Kael take to one of the books which contained various sketches from the Kamen Rider series "This is an artbook for the Kamen Rider series which contains initial story ideas and design both the Kamen Rider costumes and the monsters they fight" Kael show the contents of the book that Issei was holding

Issei was amazed to see how Kamen Rider was designed beforehand. "This is amazing! How can you get this rare series of books!!?" He asked while turning the pages of the book 

"My father quite likes the Kamen Rider series so he is always looking for merchandise from the series you could say he's a big fan of series" Kael while showing a collection of books related to the Kamen Rider series 

Kael and her sister showed more of the book collection in the library to Issei and Irina. They read each other's books in the library. Kael discusses which Kamen Rider is the coolest, while Irina talks to Rena about story books without realizing it was already evening.

In the end, Issei and Irina went home with their parents who had just arrived, They asked their parents if they could play at the Michihiro family's house anymore. Their parents answered that it didn't matter as long as Michihiro's family allowed it and Kael knew what her mother's answer was

"It's not a problem, after all, Kael always seems to prefer to be alone, so I think it's time for him to socialize with children his age instead of spending his time in the library."

"Mom, just because I rarely socialize doesn't mean I can't make friends, it's just children my age prefer playing outside rather than discussing books or something like that." Kael answered about how rarely he socializes in the school environment

"You really look full of enthusiasm when you talk to Issei-san about who is the best Kamen Rider." Rahni smirked say that

"Don't blame me if Issei says that Kamen Rider Kuuga is The strongest among the other Kamen Riders," Kael argued about who Kamen Rider strongest 

"Senpai said that ohma-zio is the strongest among all the Kamen Riders but that's only as far as the plot of the story goes” Issei counter argument kael 

Before the debate between Kael and Issei got any longer, Issei and Irina's parents said goodbye and gave permission for their child to visit the Michihiro family another time.

Issei and Irina promised to come next week to visit come home 

After that, everything went back to normal, Kael returned to his room to continue practicing magic in his mindscape

But before that, Kael and Ars talked briefly about their future goals

"So what do you think about Issei and Irina?" Kael asked Ars about his first views on the two main characters while still in invisible form

"They're good kids so I don't have a problem." Ars recalled a little of the interaction between Kael and the two person "It's hard to think that the two of them will become the center point for all the conflicts supernatural world that will come in their time still at high school age" she continued said again

"Yeah, that's unpleasant knowing what was coming but knowing how in the beginning they were just ordinary people from ordinary families except for Irina, her father exorcist who worked for the Vatican" Kael recalled his past "And knowing the dangers of the supernatural world at first I was going to be a background character in the hope that I don't get tied up in the upcoming plot, but suddenly you came along and offered me a contract I'm thinking twice about becoming a mage"

"Then do you regret entering into a contract with me?" Ars asked in a slightly puzzled tone

"I don't know, whether directly or not, I or my family might have made a direct contract with a supernatural entity, some might using magic that is used to influence memories,make you forget about them, but it's possible they will injure or kill easily since the average supernatural being looks down on humans" 

Kael recalled the world of Dragon Deus where behind the many fan services there were glass aspects about the world he now lives in "So I thought and said 'okay I got a talking magic book that might be able to teach me about magic in order to protect both myself and my family from various threats and that it doesn't matter as long as I do keep low profile from the supernatural side' or so it was in my head"

Hearing this, Ars was silent for a moment, after a while she spoke again "However, I will ask again, do you still want to learn to use magic considering that you could bring harm rather than protection?" Ars asked once again about my choice to contract with him 

Kael knows that relying on memories from his old life won't always work so he chose just in case,considering that he only knows the world of Dragon Deus from Issei's perspective and he himself only focuses on the devil faction so have a way of self-defense like magic, he can protect himself and his family from threats 

"What options are there, being a background character sounds good at first but doesn't guarantee that you will always be safe, remember that this is real life, not fiction anymore, and hope that everything will work out just like on Canon it's the same as giving me sense of security and I don't know what was in the Akashic librarian's mind in giving you to me to learn magic but I have to thank him for giving me something for use" Kael gave the answer to Ars 

"In short, you don't regret it," Ars showed his book's physical form and floated near Kael 

"Yeah, I don't regret doing it," Kael simply said

"Okay, since you have made up your mind, I will also do my best since I am one of the strongest Grimoires in the Akashic library and makes the nickname really mean" Ars said excited "Alright You better be prepared because the next lesson will be more difficult and I won't give you magic spells easily until you really understand what it is to be a mage." 

"it goes back to the old saying 'without effort there are no results" said Kael as he got into a sleeping position so he could start studying magic in his conscious mind

"Okay, see you in the mindscape." Ars returned to his astral form, preparing to create a mindscape 

And that's how Kael's first steps as a mage began
