Scarlett didn't know why she accepted to go with alexander but she naturally felt close to him, this young blond expressed an indifference that put her at ease.

she knew that going to liberty city was probably a trap or that it would cause her harm but if he could offer her advantageous conditions then she would be willing to bite the bullet and work for him

From the moment she received the news that her family had mysteriously perished she only thought about revenge, was this thoughts preventing her from seeing things clearly?

She was ready to sacrifice everyone for her revenge, even herself, was that the right way to do it?

The young mage in front of her was very ambitious, he had built a space portal while he was only level 6, he already had under his command more than 40 level 6 mages whom he had transformed into slaves, destiny seemed to smile on him but was it the right choice to entrust him with the weight of her revenge? Would he go through with it?

All these thoughts fell silent and she suddenly asked Alexander if he could take on a rank 9 mage.

Alexander who was not surprised by this question had already thought about it, to recruit Scarlett involved attacking a mage of rank 8 or 9 

the mage behind all of this was not going to stand idly by and see a potential danger (scarlett) develop before its eyes

Alexander explained his plan to Scarlett which consisted of hiding her somewhere, as the head of a spy network she did not need to be in everyone's sight, she will therefore work in the shadows

Alexander wanted to recruit Scarlett not because she had experience in managing a networks of assassins and spies but because of her talent!

Scarlett was nearly 3,000 years old, which from the perspective of a level 5 mage was considered 1/3 of her life , in brief she was a genius

if given the necessary time she could reach level 7 or maybe even level 8, that's why Alexander was ready to take such a risk

the fact is that there was a battle at clan knife before their destruction which means that the one who attacked them was a level 8 or 7 mage because a level 9 mage is 100 times more powerful than a level 8 mage so he could kill them easily 

Alexander explained his position to Scarlett, she told him that she had to think about it

he replied that she would think about it in liberty city because their carriage had just arrived

scarlett and alexander therefore went 500 miles away from ugul, to liberty city

once there, Alexander followed by 3 of his summons took Scarlett into the forest, he told her that he was not afraid of a level 8 mage because he had a very lucrative business with the Heartofsteel family and that they would protect him if something bad happens

They continued walking in the forest, Scarlett didn't know why Alexander had brought her here but it didn't bother her that much, she knew that he attached a lot of importance to her talent

after a few days in the forest, they encountered a level 6 life form in the distance, it was a winged lion a powerful monster, it was not a species native to Oberon but one that was introduced following the experimentation of a level 8 mage

these winged lions were intelligent and vicious, very territorial and aggressive

the only good news is that they mostly lived alone

Alexander decided to make it his future invocation, from level 4, any life form can take human form so all of his invocations could appear humans so no one suspected that they were invocations 

Alexander left Scarlett and his summons 10 miles before venturing into the lion's territory ( for their safety because the difference in power between the levels was too great )

he took out from his ring of life a white doe which was a species of this part of the mountain, the lion will not suspect anything when he'll attack the deer

because of the color of her skin, she couldn't hide well in the forest and all the monsters loved her meat because it was so tender

since the winged lion attached a lot of importance to its territorial boundaries , no other level 6 monster was hanging around, after a few hours, the lion saw the doe, attacked it and devoured it

what he didn't know was that the doe had been fed several poisonous plants, she only survived because of the antidote that Alexander regularly gave her.
