[Alicia Von Valentina POV]

My name didn't start as something extravagant.

My name used to be Park Seola. I was born into the Park Family and named after them.

My brother, Park Min Hyuk, was also a troublemaker, along with my sister, Park Seo Yoon.

It was really entertaining to see my brother and sisters getting along with each other.

I felt really out of place among them due to my current self.

My brother was talented in using his mana to lower his presence. It was one of the innate talents he inherited, like my uncle.

My sister was also exceptional. She was powerful, using her mana to coat her body and enhance her physical abilities.

Both of them were really great figures to me. I felt out of place because I was the only one who hadn't inherited anything.

According to our Clan, we wanted to make a name for ourselves to clear our past mistakes.

We wanted, at any cost, to show the public that we were people of hope.

However, that day changed my life.

One day, my sister and brothers were, as always, arguing and fighting each other. But suddenly, my sister accidentally destroyed the most precious jewel of my uncle while running to get my brother.

They were terrified and didn't know what to do. They were frozen in fear, unable to imagine what would happen if someone saw this.

Unfortunately for them, I had been there the entire time, watching them play.

I enjoyed myself just watching them, but there was a day when I wanted to join them. However, I hesitated because I felt like I didn't fit in. So I only enjoyed the moments when they were having fun.

But when the most precious jewel was destroyed into pieces, their powers were useless.

That's when I felt like maybe I could do something.

As I approached them and comforted them, I began to feel my mana and scanned the surroundings, seeing all the broken shards of the jewel.

I started using my mana on it and felt suffocated... And the pieces of the jewel began to float and gather in one place until they formed a circle.

As I imagined how it should look and used my mana, suddenly I felt like I had opened a new door. My body felt lighter, and the suffocating feeling stopped as the circle transformed into a ring—the most precious jewel of my uncle.

Both my sister and brother were surprised and deeply appreciated me.

Their faces made me feel like I was a better person than them.

I said to them, "You're grateful to me, right?"

They nodded vigorously, and I continued, "If you become my pets, I won't say anything about what happened here."

As my brother tried to raise his hand, I interrupted him and said, "Oh, before you say something, I can only keep the ring intact when I'm supplying mana to it. If I don't..."

The floating ring started to return to its destroyed state.

Terrified, they quickly said, "We will do it! Right, pig?"

My brother looked at my sister, and though she felt annoyed, she couldn't help but agree to my condition. "Yeah, we will!" Her face was stiff as she forced the words out.

"Great," I said, and the destroyed ring returned to its original state as if nothing had happened.

From that day on, I tormented them. I used them as my horse, servants, and punished them like slaves. I felt really happy and great that I had become a person who could play along with them.

There were days when they hid from me, but I could use my mana to scan my surroundings and see their figures.

Aside from my pets—I mean, my brother and sister—I had another brother.

His name was Brother Jason. He was the kindest person I had ever met in my life. Whenever I felt lonely and hid myself in a closet, causing my maids to panic and wonder where I was, my big brother Jason always found me, no matter where I hid.

At first, I didn't want to interact with him. But as time passed and he kept bothering me, the lonely feeling disappeared. It didn't take long for me to realize that I really loved having him by my side.

When I had trouble sleeping, he would accompany me until I fell asleep and even read me a story.

He was the person who made me feel that I had the right to live the most. I had a place in this house. However, there were times when my brother wouldn't visit me for many days. I didn't realize at the time how difficult my brother's daily life was.

I only found out when I asked one of my maids where he was. They said he was in the training room.

At first, I asked why he was there.

Apparently, he had been selected as the future successor of the Legendary hero Mystic.

I knew about the hero Mystic because that was the story my brother told me, and it was always the story I asked him to narrate. I had heard it hundreds of times, but I couldn't get enough of it.

At first, I thought, "Isn't it great to be selected as a successor of Mystic?" I didn't know at the time how hurt my brother was when I said that. He bit his face, as if he wanted to say something, but he didn't say anything and just smiled and patted my head.

Then years passed. It was my brother Jason's 18th birthday.

I was really happy for him because this was the day he was supposed to be announced as the heir of the Park Clan and the successor of Mystic. But that happy event didn't happen.

As my brother stood on the veranda and all the people looked at him, he spoke.

"I, the eldest son of the Park Clan, hereby announce that I won't accept anything that is granted to me. I will walk my own path, and you guys don't give a damn about it!" he said loudly, his words filled with determination. Then he disappeared from where he stood and didn't return.

I didn't know what to feel at that time. Before my brother disappeared, he looked at me with determination and used mental communication to say, "Alicia, become a person who isn't chosen by others. Follow your heart's desires. Take care of yourself and your brother and sister. Love you."

Those words left me lost for a moment. I didn't know that was how my brother felt all this time.

He didn't desire to be a successor. He didn't desire anything.

He had only followed what people said, and that's why he said those words.

"Brother!" I shouted before he completely disappeared. And then... I began to tell my uncle that I had a talent for craftsmanship.

I resolved myself. And my uncle, who had been stressed out by my brother's disappearance, became active again, and I was then transferred to England and inherited the name Alicia. Alicia Von Valentina.

According to Park Clan tradition, if any children were gifted with the rare innate talent of craftsmanship, they would become part of the royal family of the clan.

And currently, my status has changed to a royal one. It was difficult to accept at first, but I only did what my brother told me. If this was the fate given to me, I would follow this path.

Over the years in the palace, I gained knowledge of craftsmanship that was passed down by my ancestors.

I tried many things and made a lot of artifacts that delighted my clan.

But I found out how disgusting they themselves were. They only wanted what I made, not who I was.

I was then reminded of my brother's words, that I should only follow what my heart tells me.

So, I purposely started failing at creating high-quality artifacts. As a result, I was thrown into my room by my own clan. They looked at me as if I were trash and said things like "useless" and "pathetic."

I knew I was wrong and felt really hurt every day. But then I felt like my forced days of making artifacts were gone. Every time my confinement ended, I only made useless artifacts. Of course, I was scolded and thrown back into my room. But the second time didn't hurt as much.

It's not like they can harm me. If they harm a royal like me, the whole clan will hunt them down and execute them, according to the rule that "if another clan harms an ally, they will be executed."

That rule came in handy at that time. I didn't get hurt as much because if any part of my body got a scar or any evidence of harm, their heads would roll.

I kept myself that way until the day I didn't expect to return.

As usual, my confinement ended, and as I looked outside my window, my attendant gave me a letter.

It was a summons from my uncle. Apparently, he wanted me to go back to Korea because my grandfather was going to announce something important.

I told my attendant to take one of my artifacts, and she quickly got it for me.

I then traveled back to Korea using my artifact called "Teleporter." It was a crystal I made with a variety of materials from monster cores.

I used it and instantly traveled to where my uncle's house was.Proofread version:
