High Command was full of Generals, Konrad sitting at the highest and most important position. Not wanting a repeat of the last incident, every high-ranking officer had long been implanted with Gene-Seeds that enhanced their mind and gave them resistance to mental attacks. Right now, High Command was running at its full potential and was awaiting Erwin’s military report.

Without the ability to keep satellites in the sky, long-distance communication was a big problem. Due to concerns of technology leakage, instead of fibre optic cables, telegraph lines had been set up below and above ground across the entire country to allow for the transmission of simple messages. This massive project had only been possible with the assistance of many airships, a new invention designed for civilian use and transportation.

To ensure communications with the frontline, a ship had trailed a line all the way from Canariel to Eldriel, allowing the First Fleet to keep sending and receiving reports with High Command.

A receiver in the corner of the room displayed the message on the big screen in the front of the room.

.-- . .- .--. --- -. ... / -.-. --- -. ..-. .. .-. -- . -.. / - --- / -... . / -. .- - .. --- -. .- .-.. / .--. .-. --- -.. ..- -.-. - .. --- -.

WEAPONS CONFIRMED TO BE NATIONAL PRODUCTION

... . .-. .. .- .-.. / -. ..- -- -... . .-. ... / ... - .. .-.. .-.. / .. -. - .- -.-. -

SERIAL NUMBERS STILL INTACT

A list of numbers was sent through. A soldier ran off to check them in the records room.

[It’s confirmed, they’re our numbers. More specifically, they are arms designated to the Holy Church]

Konrad gestured towards the room.

[Now, the question is how did they end up in the capital of our enemy?]

In fact, this was the second transmission that was sent back since the First Fleet reached Eldriel, the first being the details of the presence of modern hot weapons being present in the capital. This was an unexpected development that set High Command on alert. Multiple theories as to why were sent around, but none of them seemed feasible. But now, one of the most improbable theories was proven to be true!

[Could they have stolen them?]

[No, how could they have smuggled it from the border? We have radar stations surrounding our territory]

[Could they have teleported it?]

[Teleportation magic is only written down in legends!]

[We don’t know exactly what magic is capable of, it is indeed possible]

[Their industry is not developed enough to start mass production…]

[This is a very unexpected development, but then again, we expected something unexpected to happen]

[Investigate this! Now!]

With a click of a button, a large map of the Third Reich’s territory was displayed on the screen, the warehouses being highlighted in yellow.

All eyes turned to Konrad as the room awaited his command.

[Send the Griffith Special Forces to investigate and lock down the surroundings with the People’s Army, we must find out how exactly this happened. Redirect additional supplies to the Holy Church and provide them with an explanation. We must guarantee our supply of strategic materials]

[Yes sir!]

[As for an explanation to the people… why don’t we blame this on the demi-humans? We’ve dragged the war on for as long as possible, but all good things must come to an end. We can blame the demi-humans for treason, working with the enemy and attempting to undermine the efforts of the Third Reich!]

[Yes, how dare the demi-humans work for our mortal enemy and supply them with weapons!]

[Ha, let them fight amongst themselves]

[During the last month, anti-demihumanism has been increasing slower than optimally as they fought side-by-side with their fellow humans. This should drive a large wedge in it]

[As for a first step… Let’s remove demi-humans from the military]

[Propaganda department, time to get to work]

The issue of how exactly to organise this campaign was designated down the chain of command and High Command quickly moved on to the next issue as they awaited the findings of the Griffith Special Forces. The Griffith Special Forces was the most powerful special forces behind the Space Marines and source soldiers with modern equipment. To maintain loyalty, it had the highest ratio of any native army, with half being elite source soldiers and the other half being natives. Natives were picked for their abilities and fanaticism.

They were all implanted with basic gene-seeds and underwent non-stop training in the backlines, never having the chance to deploy on the battlefield yet. What was notable was that Konrad made an exception and equipped them with interwar-period firearms such as MP-38s, and most importantly, MG-34s. With their inhuman strength, they were able to quickly move with their heavy weaponry.

Their speciality was their hearing. Their hearing was specially enhanced by their Gene-Seed which allowed the Griffith Special Forces to completely cover a battlefield with smoke but still be able to hit their enemies accurately purely based on sound alone. This was partly inspired by the ability of the Spectre Knights.

If they were to ever face the Spectre Knights in combat, they would be able to give at least a resistance. Of course, Konrad would never do that as every soldier was incredibly expensive and would never be used as cannon fodder.

[Next issue, people are going missing in Dresden and there are rumours of ghosts. Local authorities have not found anything and are even going missing themselves]

[We have gotten a few frenzied transmissions of supernatural happenings but nothing concrete]

Apart from the capital, every other city had been renamed to wipe out the influence the late Canary Kingdom might have on the people.

Thinking for a moment, Konrad spoke.

[Supernatural events could indeed be possible in this world. However, our forces are hardly equipped for such entities that don’t take physical entities. This is why this deal with the Holy Church is so important. We must develop our capabilities in attacking the spiritual before others exploit this weakness]

[I will personally meet with their representative to further discuss our trades]

[Yes sir!]
