Since I was already up, even if it was earlier than usual, I decided to get on with my day instead of going back to bed 

I took a shower to get by body fully awake and going

I had some things to do today

So, after having some toast for breakfast I got my bike out and drove off to pick up Joshua from his apartment

I was going to fix up the suit today

It was not some shirt I could just get anyone to work on it, it was special and it took someone special to do anything to it so I was taking it to someone that could

We got there now I didn’t actually know this person’s name but what he charged was expensive

I was told he did not give out his identity to anyone, said it was to keep himself safe, also I wasn’t even actually sure if it was a he or she

I got measured and was told to come back two days later by the woman who took my measurements, who was most probably an assistant

I kind of didn’t want to it leave there after all that I went through to get that suit

But I didn’t have much of a choice too either, can’t use a suit that doesn’t even fit me now can I

So, in the end logic won over emotion and I had to agree

Plus, I had and errand to run for Demitri so I couldn’t just loiter around there

But before that we decided to grab a quick bite since it was already late in the afternoon and we had not eaten anything the whole day, since the whole thing took longer then we expected it to be

While I was having a late lunch with Joshua, I suddenly got a call from someone

“Hey” i answered qit was Clara

“Hey, I got home early today but Alice wasn't home so I was calling to find out if maybe she was with you”

“Sorry but she's not with me, I've been out the whole day, had some errands to run today”

“Oh, I was just making sure, she’s probably just around the building I’ll keep looking, call you back later”

“Yeah sure”

“Everything ok” Joshua asked after I put down my phone

“Yeah, nothing of concern”

After finished our lunch I dropped off Joshua back at his place promising to go out for some drinks tomorrow before continuing on my way to Demitri

When I got back home after my errand for Demitri it was late, the sun had set and the streets lamps had started to lit up

I had delivered some stuff for him to an exchange going down outside the city so it took some time driving to and from

I got inside the building and clicked on the elevator door but it looked like it was still far up so I decided to take the stairs instead

When I got to my floor, I noticed the door to Clara’s apartment was just wide open

I looked inside but it was dark, no lights were switched on

“Hello” I called out to check, in case something was wrong

“Hello anyone home” after getting no response I decided to enter and see if it was alright

I got to the switches and turned them on

Once the lights were on i could see it was mess inside 

The floor was littered with objects here and there but the biggest mess was on the floor clutching her knees

“Clara” I quickly got down to check if she was ok

“Are you ok” I grabbed her shoulders and supported her up “Clara”

But as she saw it was me, she just leaned onto me and started cry

“Hey hey hey what happened” I asked her as supported her up with my arms, now I was really worried

She was a mess her face smudged with mascara because of her tears which were still falling

I tried to wipe off her tears but only made it worse “what happened”

“Alice” she finally managed replied between sobs “they took Alice”

“who” I asked back with concern “who Clara” but she was in no condition to respond

I helped her get up and sat her down on a chair, I also filled a glass with water and handed it to her

After she took a sip, I held her hands and calmed her down before asking her again

“Now tell what happened”

“After I got home, I couldn’t find Alice, I even called you but I, as I was searching for her, I got another call, it was from Lance he was saying how, how I would regret what I did yesterday”

“who’s Lance”

“He he was my ex, he kept pestering me even after we separated said I just used him for his money and demanded I paid him back so I did, I thought he would stop causing me trouble if I did, even those men you beat up they were his lackeys, I had just met him again yesterday and had an argument with him”

“Did you try the cops”

“I did but they just said they could not just arrest anyone without evidence but even if I did it wouldn’t matter, they are all on his brother’s payroll” this was getting more and more complicated

“Do you know where I can find him or his men”

“No” she said as started to tear up again “I don’t know what to do Cain, I don’t know”

“it’s ok, it’s ok Clara I’m going to make this right, I promise” I said patting her head as I embraced her trying to calm her down

“You wait here ok, I’ll go and get Alice back, ok” I pull her up and support her with my arms “You’ll be ok right?”

“Yes” she replied with difficulty

“I’ll bring her back, I promise”

I get up and leave

I get down and get my bike as I contemplated on how to proceed from here

The last time I had beat up those guys I did not see any bikes nor a car so they most probably had come to the club on foot so some if not all of them must be from around the area if it was a walking distance   

That means they must go to some of the nearby bars so, I was going to start there

Alice, she was just a kid but instead of enjoying life she was suffering right now all beacause of this guy

Whoever this Lance was, today was not going to be his lucky day
