I was back again in front of the same door the next morning with a bag in my arms and an old man behind me

“This is Dr. Robert" I introduced the old guy behind me to Clara as she answered the door and let us in

“Hello Dr. Robert, thank you for coming” she shook his hand and greeted him

“Here, I brought some groceries” I said as I handed her the bag in my arms

“I thought you might be low since you probably didn’t go out” I added as she took them from my arms

“She’ up in her bed I’ll show you to her” she turned to the doctor again and addressed him

“I’ll go and take a look then” and then he followed her to the room as she led him

After she showed Doc into the room and introduced him to Alice, she returned to the kitchen to put away the groceries

“I’ll should put these in the fridge” she said to me as I was still present in the room

She started to arrange the things inside the fridge and the silence started to set in

As she got busy i apporched her intending to talk “Listen, about last night” I wanted to talk about it, I did not know what was the intentions behind her actions last night if it was only something she did as a thank you or if it was something more and if it was I had to tell who I was and what I did

She had the right to know because along with me, came my troubles, what I did for a living was questionable plus there were people after me

“Huh what did you say” she asked looking away from the fridge looks like she was distracted and didn’t hear what I said

“I said I, no I said I’ll go and check on the Doc and Alice, see if everything is going well” in the last moment I couldn’t and bailed instead

When i reached the bedroom, I saw inside the Doc was checking on the now awake Alice, I went ahead and joined then in the room, I sat down by the bed

“Hey kid, how are you doing” I asked with a smile after I sat down

“I’m ok just little tried” and she did look tried even her voice sounded weak

“Well, I’m done, she's alright, just need some rest that’s all” the Doc said as he started packing up his things before getting up, I followed him out the room

“Is she really going to be alright Doc” I proceeded to question him further after we got out the room

“What I said was true, well physically she’s fine, but most of the time in cases like this, I've found that it’s the mental part that people have to worry about, try to keep her in a good mood and if she seems too depressed it might be even good to try a therapist but for now what she needs the most is rest”

I could see Clara nearby listening

“Thank you Doc, I’ll drop you off” I offered and lead him off the door but before I left I turned again to address Clara

“I’ll be back later I have to do something after I drop Doc off”

“We’ll be here”

“See you”

After dropping the Doc at his workplace, I swung by mine

I wanted to tell that I was not going to be free for a few days but when I reached there, I was surprised to find the laundromat closed

I looked around but no one was there inside, I tried calling too but it just went to the machine

Since it was closed looks like they would not need me and the reason I was here was because I wanted to be excused

It was just what I wanted so I just drove back home

Since I was free, I decided to spent the rest of my day with Clara and Alice

I bought some boardgames on my way back to keep Alice entertained, I thought it might help keep her mind off depressing thoughts and I think it worked a little since she didn’t look too down by the end of the day

She was still tired though so she went off to bed early after which me and Clara started to chat, just the two of us and we went on the whole night till morning like 3 o’clock

Things were going fine, yeah, I was just probably over thinking things

Since it was already very late I decided to just sleep over on the couch

I had breakfast with them and left just before afternoon

I went around the laundromat again but it was closed today too, closed for two days straight and not receiving calls, now this was starting to get a little suspicious

I tried the phone again but couldn’t reach anyone so I decided to look into it again later as I had more things to do, I drove to Joshua’s place as we were suppose to pick up my suit today

When I reached his place, I rang his bell but got no answer back I rang and knocked on the door a few times but got no feedback

I tried his cell but again no one, I was now begining to get worried first Demitri now him

I decided to break the door and see if everything was all right things were smelling fishy but before I could knocked down the door the door next door suddenly oppened and someone came out

“Oh, hello sir” I greeted the man that came out

“I heard the noise and just wanted to inform you that the guy who lives there hasn’t come back since yesterday”

“Do you know where he went”

“Do I look like his wife just stop making so much noise” he looked annoyed

I decided to leave since I couldn’t break down the door now anymore 

“Just where was everyone”

 I went ahead alone and took out the suit myself

But I didn’t return home right after I asked around the places that Joshua frequented if he had been around there but I had no luck, after I got nothing I decided to give it more time and drove back home, maybe I was just over thinking things

I had just taken a step inside my apartment when I suddenly got a call

"Yes this is him"

"What? How, yes I'll be right there"

It was a call from a hospital
