Prologue: Cute little Oni

-------------

In a world where mystery abounded in the world, there existed an 8-10 year old boy adorned with two small horns on his head, which made him even more adorable.

Despite his endearing appearance, he had always been alone, unable to be accepted by the humans around him. His unique powers and nature set him apart, making it difficult for others to understand him and leaving him with a lingering feeling of isolation.

And filled with a sense of anger, he decided to leave his past behind and seek refuge elsewhere.

As he roamed the world in pursuit of refuge, his heart weighed heavy with skepticism and fear. He believed that anyone he encountered would only wish harm upon him, further deepening his sense of alienation. But fate had other plans for him.

One fateful day, he crossed paths with a girl who seemed like just another person he would have to cautiously avoid. However, to his surprise, she did not display any hostility or malice towards him. Instead, she welcomed him with open arms, and recognizing the vulnerability within.

As days turned into weeks, the girl's kindness and care began to melt away the walls the boy had built around himself. She showed him the compassion he had long yearned for, treating him like a younger brother and providing him with a sense of belonging he had never experienced before.

Gradually, the boy realized that he had misjudged her intentions all along. She was not seeking to harm him but rather to offer him the love and acceptance he deserved. With her by his side, he finally found the family he had longed for—an unbreakable bond that would forever change his life and heal the wounds of his past.

The boy felt a mixture of uncertainty and hope as he stood there, contemplating the girl's words. He had never experienced the warmth and care of a family before, and the idea of living with her intrigued him. The beautiful beach around them seemed like a paradise, and he couldn't help but wonder if this newfound companionship could truly transform even such a place into a home.

With a small smile, the girl reassured him, "Yes, we'll live together right here. This island will be our home, and we'll make it a special place together."

The boy's confusion lingered as he questioned, "But how can we live on a island?"

The girl could not help but give a small, amused laugh. "Don't worry. As long as I'm here even an island is like paradise."

As the boy listened to her soothing words, his doubts began to fade away. He started to believe that this girl could provide the family he had always dreamed of having.

However, his skepticism resurfaced when he remembered her earlier struggles with cooking. "Can I really trust her when she can't even cook a fish?" he wondered silently to himself.

The boy knew that she might not be able to cook, but when it came to fighting it was a different story.

"I will not kill any of you; you can go back to where you came from. However, if you are looking for a place to wander, Mount Suzuka will welcome you." she said, as she looked at the defeated enemies before her.

As the days passed, the little boy observed the girl's strength and bravery during their battles together. He marveled at how effortlessly she defeated their foes, and he noticed that she never fought for personal gain but always for the sake of her family on Mount Suzuka.

Every defeated adversary they encountered ended up becoming a part of their unique family. She had a way of welcoming those who were lost and offering them a place of belonging on the mountain.

Although the boy didn't fully grasp the concept of "family" at first, he came to understand that it meant being there for one another, protecting each other, and creating bonds based on love and trust.

The boy found himself drawn to her leadership and the sense of security she provided. Whenever danger lurked, she made sure he stayed behind her, shielding him from harm and giving him a sense of comfort he had never known before.

One day, as they sat together after a victorious battle, the boy noticed a familiar figure approaching. "Ehy, Otakemaru! What are you doing here?" she called out with a smile.

The boy turned to see a fellow Yokai approaching and couldn't help but feel a bit anxious. However, the girl's welcoming demeanor put him at ease. "Here you go!" she said, offering a grilled fish.

"Just don't sit there all by yourself. Come and join me, Otakemaru," she invited, addressing the boy by his name.

The little boy nodded and joined them, feeling a sense of camaraderie and belonging in their presence. The girl's actions spoke louder than words, and he knew that she was not just protecting him but also showing him what it meant to be a part of a family.

Over time, the little boy learned the true meaning of family through the girl's actions and the connections they formed with others on Mount Suzuka. He discovered that family was not always about blood relations but about the bonds forged through trust, care, and shared experiences.

As they continued to face challenges together, the little boy grew in strength and confidence, knowing that he had someone to rely on, and he reciprocated that support to his newfound family.
