Unblocking the Circuits

The day was crisp and filled with a sense of anticipation as the guru led us to a special spot in the mountains, a spot exuding immense energy. The air was charged with anticipation, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement tinged with curiosity. Just yesterday we were made to see and feel the tapestry of life. Needless to say, it was an absolutely enchanting and unforgettable experience for all of us. This technique was called the 'Inner resonance' or 'Circle of Life'. We were told that we would dedicate half an hour after the morning meditations to familiarise ourselves with this skill and then later master it. But not today as the guru wanted us well-rested for whatever he had in mind for us so we gathered around the guru for the meditation and began to follow him. We climbed down the mountain to the valley and we soon reached our destination. As soon as we arrived our eyes widened in awe at the surroundings. It felt as though we had stumbled upon an ancient secret, a hidden world within the mountain range.

The nexus- hidden spot

Ren stopped, looked around, and balled his hands into fists. "I have to admit, this place gives me the creeps and the shivers all at once."

Arya was also taking a look around, as if determined to scan every nook and cranny, her gaze lingering on the intricate runes and carvings that surrounded us. "It's as if the very placement of these trees, rocks, and objects has been thought out with some purpose. It's both fascinating and eerie at the same time."

'Could it be Feng shui? If I remember it correctly, it was about maximizing positive chi while minimizing negative chi in your surroundings by interacting with objects that are placed in your surroundings.'

Shaun also spoke up," I agree but the energy here is unmistakable. It's so dense."

"Yeah no kidding, all this energy and we could not feel even a tiny bit of it from the outside," I said with a frown.

Sasha brought her hand to her chin, "It could be one of the chi-gathering formations."

The guru who had walked ahead of us sat down on a piece of rock and with his usual calm demeanor, said, "The energy here is unlike anything you have encountered before. It is a convergence point, a nexus of powerful forces. But fear not; it will only invigorate you. Sit inside the circle engraved on the floor. There should be nine spots for each of you to sit at."

As we settled into a circle, the guru's words flowed like a gentle river, soothing our unease. He urged us to steady our minds and control our breathing, preparing us for the task at hand.

Then, with a hint of mystery in his eyes, the guru revealed the purpose of our visit—to absorb energy into our bodies through a unique method. He spoke of circuits that carry energy throughout our bodies, the intricate network of energy that flows within and around us.

I spoke out after hearing the words circuit, which felt out of place in these mountains and the serene environment. "Circuits, like electrical circuits?"

The guru nodded, a faint smile playing on his lips. "In a way, yes. These circuits are the conduits of life energy, and they connect to focal points known as chakra centers."

'Circuits, huh? It seems quite similar to the qi meridians I have read so much in cultivation novels. The chakra center is similar to the Dantian but there are multiple? Oh l like the sound of multiple Dantians. No need to fear my Dantian getting destroyed by some arrogant young master with backing If I have multiple Dantians. Alright, time to level up.'

He explained the existence of circuits that carried this energy all over our bodies, like invisible rivers of power. These circuits converged at focal points known as chakra centers, each with its own unique nature and purpose.

Arya leaned forward, her interest piqued. "Chakra centers? I've heard of those. Are they like energy hubs in our bodies?"

The guru's eyes shone with approval. "Precisely. There are seven main chakra centers in the body, each responsible for specific aspects of our physical and spiritual well-being. They are not part of our physical body but they do exist."

'This seems so nostalgic and so deja-vu, where have I heard of this before.........Oh, that's right, it was my yoga teacher from school who had shared this knowledge. That man sure knew a lot, he was allowed to work in our school even though he had already crossed the age of retirement. Right, back to the topic, what was it that he said about the chakras? The gist was that the aim of a specific type of yoga was to open the 7 chakras, which are situated along the spine, to do so one must arouse some sort of 'shakti' (energy). Through the opening of the last chakra - crown chakra one becomes aware and perceptive to the 'Rita' (cosmic order). Though it is easier said than done. It takes decades to even open one chakra center though maybe that can be attributed to mana less environment.'

"Before we can open the chakra centers," the guru continued, "we must first ensure that the circuits are unblocked and the energy flows freely. To do this, we will use proper breathing techniques. I want you to take in the surrounding energy when inhaling and then pass out that energy when exhaling thus forming a cycle. As you repeat the cycles, the impurities too will slowly declutter and be expelled from your circuits, This is an excellent exercise to achieve mental tranquility."

'Ah so that is what the qi meridians and impurities removing is all about huh, It's all about awakening the Shakti (energy) to open the chakras or the energy centers of your body to feel more whole and more in control of your own body. They say you can achieve moksha (freed from the cycle of re-birth) when you successfully master it thus achieving immortality.'

As the guru guided us through the breathing exercises, I could feel a sense of calm wash over me. With each inhale, I imagined drawing in the energy from the surroundings, and with each exhale, I visualized pushing out any blockages in the circuits.

Shane, one of the other disciples, quipped. "So, we're basically giving our circuits a spring cleaning?"

The guru chuckled. "In a way, yes. Just as a river needs to flow freely to nourish the land, so too must the energy within us flow unimpeded. The impurities act like a dam restricting the river's flow. The body becomes parched and is deprived of its necessary energy leading to the frailty of the human body. The imbalance between the energy-rich side of the dam and the energy-deprived side of the body further exacerbates the situation ultimately shortening our lifespan to a mere hundred years."

As we continued the exercises, focusing on our breath and the flow of energy, I could feel a subtle shift within myself. It was as though I were becoming more attuned to the energy that surrounded us, and a sense of invigoration began to take hold.

Arya, her dedication evident in her focused expression, whispered, "I can feel it, the blockages are being broken down and pushed away. It's like a weight lifting off my chest."

'Yeah, me too, it feels so fulfilling. I can see how some sadhus (sages) in the myths can meditate for years on end. I guess I will curse anyone too if they try to disrupt my zen. Or maybe not, too soon to say. I shall continue this thought with a few more decades under my belt.'

There were similar gasps and chatter all around us. The guru was patient and precise. He encouraged us to go at our own pace, to feel the energy within us, and to trust in the process.

I closed my eyes to get a better feel and to dedicate myself fully to this task. Like a rhythm falling into place, a sense of empowerment began to wash over me. With each breath, I felt the energy within myself surge, like something that had been dormant for years finally starting to stir and rouse. I felt the circuits within my body gradually being cleared of debris, allowing the energy to flow more freely than ever. I felt like my thirst which I did not even know about had been finally quenched.

The sensation was invigorating, like a surge of electricity charging through my being. With each inhale and intake of the surrounding potent energy, I felt the blockages in the circuits dissolve, and with each exhale, I expelled the remnants of impurities. It was as though I was sweeping away the cobwebs of doubt and uncertainty, making room for more as renewed vitality coursed through me.

Ren, Arya, and the other disciples shared expressions of amazement, their expressions mirroring my own. We were experiencing this profound transformation together.

As the blockages continued to clear, the circuits felt fuller with energy, like a river that had found its natural course. With each breath, I felt more in tune with the energy of the universe, and a sense of clarity and purpose filled my being.
