Chapter 5 – Time to go

After two days straight, we finish the training session.

We gather in the tavern not far from there. Of course it is the tavern where I met with Momo and Amsir.

“So, what did you learn?” Said Momo to all of us.

“I got punched”

“I got stabbed”

“My crotch was exploded”

“Good, now we can give you the mission” Said Momo.

Nothing good to remember in our training.

I can say that by just looking at Zexalone’s face and Alvern’s body.

“…” I look at my pants.

“Sigh…”

“Nice fashion Kino” Said Zexalone.

“Yeah, glad Momo quickly helped me back there”

“I wonder how did you get that” Zexalone asked couriously.

“Something like black ball exploded”

Is it me, or is Alvern trying to hide something? From the looks of his face and the sudden look away from me.

“Ehem, now I’m going to explain your mission” Said Amsir, while getting something from behind the bar table.

“Your mission, to make sure the Prince of gram is save”

“Prince of gram?” Ask Alvern.

“Yes, the son of king’s gram” Amsir continues the explanation while reading somekinds of report book.

“Wait, how old is the son?” Alvern seems to try to make sure of something.

“20” Said Amsir.

Wait, if the son is on his 20, then how come Momo is very young? I mean, they married when Momo at 4? Is the King phedophile?

“Do not get wrong idea, the king was remarried again” Said Momo while staring at me.

“Ah, that makes sense. Because I heard you are still young Momo” Said Alvern.

“I am”

I can only watch them silently. I don’t know what to comment or reply.

“The prince of Gram, named Kinstam Tea Liander” Said Amsir while giving us some papers about the prince’s party.

I take the papers, it is definitely about the prince Gram’s party. They are five members in his party.

“Their objective is to set free the village from the bandit” Said Momo.

“I want you, to make sure their mission is not failed, and accompany them until they get back home” She continues.

“Alright, so can we get the information about the quest taken by the prince?”

“Here” Amsir give Alvern another paper. He read it very carefully.

“Zexalone, here, you need to know this geography” Alvern give it to Zexalone.

“I see, hmm… hmm… yes. Okay I got it” Zexalone while pointing his finger on the paper. Maybe he sees a lot of small alley or something catch his interest.

I don’t know what to say or comment. Let’s see if I can do something.

“May I use the kitchen?” I asked.

“Sure” Said Amsir.

In the kitchen.

“Let’s make some coffee or tea.” That is what I though.

Since I don’t very good with geography, or anything that whatever included in it. At least I help them with something else.

“Ah, are you looking for a sugar?”

“Ah, yes.. do you seen one?”

It was Xyfer who asked me.

“Here, the sugar. I just used it for my coffee” He shows me the coffee he made.

“Thanks”

When I back into the table while I’m serving them the tea and coffee.

“Okay, now we give you this” Said Momo while giving a small dagger and small mace to Alvern and Zexalone.

“Woow, a weapon” Said Zexalone.

“Yes, we can only provide you with this kind of weapon”

“And, here the money for your journey” Said Amsir.

“MONEY!!” Shout Alvern.

I sit down on the free chair.

“Anything else do we need to know other than the details of the party and the quest?” Said Zexalone.

“Yes, wait a second..” Said Amsir.

*WHISTLE~*

A small black bird come from the outside through the window and stop at Momo’s hand.

“This bird is called Priepie” Said Momo.

“Prii…?” The bird is twitting.

“One of the pigeons type of bird” She continues.

“So, what do we need to know from this bird?” Ask Alvern.

“This bird already trained by me, you can say that it’s unique bird.” She said while stroking its head.

“Really?” Zexalone seems happy.

“Yes” She said proudly.

“Come here” Said Zexalone.

The bird fly towards Zexalone and stop in front of him.

Momo is smilling. She seems to be proud by her bird.

“Now, sit” Order Zexalone.

The bird suddenly sitting after Zexalone give it a command.

“Stand”

It stands.

“Roll over”

The bird rolls over.

“Break Dance”

The bird Break dancing.

“Whoa, Pripie is very talented!” Said Zexalone.

“Yeah it is,” Alverns Surprised.

They laughed together.

“This makes me thirsty” Said Momo.

“Me too,” Said Amsir.

They take the tea and coffee that I served them.

“Here, drink this too,” Said Zexalone while take the tea and put it in front of the bird.

They drink it together.

“Heeeh~ what a drink, good to start the day~” Said Momo listlessly.

“What a strong beer! I like it” Said Amsir.

What? Beer?

“Look, Pripie is starting to dance” Said Zexalone.

Pripie is dancing.

“Hey Xyfer, what did you give me in the kitchen? It was not a sugar?” I ask Xyfer that stand beside me.

“It was a sugar, believe me. But the sugar made by me, I mixed it with my favorite beer.” Said Xyfer.

“Oh my god..” I can’t believe this guy.

“How do you make that?” Said Alvern, He seems very interested.

“No.. no.. please…” Don’t follow him Alvern.

So, yeah that was happened a week ago. The bird was Pripie. It will inform to Momo.

“Hey Kino, what are you doing here?” Someone asking me.

“Hey Alvern, eek, you already drunk!”

“No I’m not. Look,” He said while sitting beside me. He brought me a bottle of beer.

“Where did you get that?”

“I took it silently”

“What?”

“Ehehehe~”

I can only smile while looking my friend like that.

“Umm, excuse me?” A woman is approaching us.

“Yes?” I look at the woman.

“Is he the one who treat the injured people?” She asks while looking at Alvern.

When I see her carefully, she is the priest that follows the prince.

“Yes,” I answer while looking at Alvern too.

“Thank you, he was very helpful. If I’am alone, I might not be able to treat all of them” The priest then sit beside Alvern. A little bit far away.

“On behalf of my friend, thank you” I said while nod to her, and She is smiling.

“I’m sorry that he is like this, well it is his hobby though” While shaking Alvern to make him wake up.

“Get up! Hey!” I slap his head.

*Slap* (I slap his face)

“Huh?” He wakes up.

“There is someone who wants to meet you” I take a glass full of water beside me.

“Heeh?” He answered while still asleep.

“…” I’m splatting the water to his face.

*Splash* (The sounds of water hit Alvern’s face)

“Pwoah~”

“You ok?” I ask.

“What the fu- are you doing?” He is angry while grabbing my collar.

“Look, someone is here” I’m pointing at the priest.

“Ah?” He looks at her and suddenly blushes.

“M-may I help you?” He cracked.

The priest is giggling looking at us. Then She start talking.

“I want to know what kind of method that you treat them. When I see it, you are not very tired after that many work”

“Ah, you mean my potions?” Alvern suddenly in serious mode. Maybe because he sees a cute girl in front of him?

“Can I see it?” She looks interested.

“Yes, I’m an alchemist. I made a lot of potions. look at this” Alverns take out a small paper that contains the details of his potions.

When I look at it.

“What the heck? Just a circle with some description? There’s a lot of different size of circle.” I ask with curiosity.

“Is it a boob picture?” Someone suddenly ask.

I see Zexalone stand behind Alvern.

“Hush, it’s a potion glasses drawn from above.” He explains

“Why from above?” I ask

“Well, it resembles boobs.” I can’t give any comment to that, I’m speechless, but,,,

“Hey, you can’t say that in front of girl!” I tried to warn him, and look at the girl.

“…” She is smiling, she seems enjoying it.

“So, how big is the boobs that you were used?” Ask Zexalone.

“This one” Avlern points out one of the boobs. I mean the potion.

“Ah? The small red potion? Are they having light injury?” Ask Zexalone.

“Yes” Said Alverns.

The girl suddenly come closer.

“So do you bring a lot of potions?”

“I am, what kind of potion do you want?” He seems to know what the priest intend to.

“Do you have the blue one? The one that replenish mana.”

“I have,”

“I will buy some”

….

“Thank you” Said the priest.

“You are welcome,” Said Alvern.

“Umm… May I know your name?” Ask the priest.

“Alvern,”

“Thanks Alvern, I will excuse myself” She stands and walk away after bent down to Alvern.

“What a kind and cute girl” Said Zexalone that sit beside Alvern.

Me and Alvern nod.

“Do you know her?” Ask Zexalone.

“No, I forgot to ask her” Said Alvern while cleaning up.

“Dude, even she is small, but she has nice body.” Said Zexalone.

“At least get her name” He continues.

“You are right, why I did not think about it earlier”

“Guys…”

They can’t be helped.

….

“So, where are we going to sleep?” I ask.

“I brough some blanked, let’s just sleep in here” Said Alvern.

“That is a good idea, since some of the house burned down, and child and women are prioritize to take shelter” Said Zexalone.

“Yep, this will be a long night” Said Alvern while covering his face with his blanket.

In the next morning when three of us still sleeping, the prince party are preparing to depart.

“Alright, our job here is done.” Said the prince.

“Let’s go home” Said the Magician.

“No?” The prince seems doesn’t want to go home.

“Wha-? Why not?” Asked the magician.

“Since we are here, let’s go adventuring a little bit more” He says that with excitement.

“Yeah, let’s do that” The others seems agree except the priest and the magician.

…

I wake up in the late morning. I mean, it’s already afternoon. My body still refusing to get up. So I try to close my eyes again, because it is too bright.

“Excuse me,”

I hear someone is calling to us, so I woke up. With a little bit dizziness, I try to look the person.

He is one of the villager here.

“Here, your food. Thanks for treating us mister”

A child beside him give me a plate full of food.

“Thanks,” I take the plate.

...

When I finished my breakfast.

“Mornin’…” Said Alvern while whipping his eyes.

“Nyem.. nyem.. come on baby~” and sleep talking Zexalone.

His hips are moving, Ewww….

“Please, wake him up Alvern” I can’t stand looking him like that.

“Ah? Okay”

Alvern reach out his bag, and take something out.

“Let’s try this”

*SNAP* (It’s a rubber band hit Zexalone’s face)

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!” Zexalone is screaming.

….

“Are you done?” I ask Zexalone and Alvern.

“A little bit” Said Alvern.

“I’m done” Said Zexalone.

“Great, we should get moving. We need to make sure the prince get home peacefully”

We are ready to follow wherever the prince’s party is. But when I stand and look around.

“…”

Something is a miss. I don’t know what is it.

So I try to walk around and..

“Excuse me, where is the adventure group that was here yesterday?” I ask one of the villager.

“The group of adventure? I think they already left.”

“Do you know where they are going?” I asked the villager casually.

“They went there” The villager pointed out where they went.

“Thanks..” Nice, now we will know where they are going, but…

“….”

I just realize that they went to other place. I mean, that was not the way to the kingdom.

….

“Guys, the prince is gone! They already depart.” I panic.

“That’s a good news right? They already went home by themselves” Said Zexalone while smoking.

“That’s not a good news” I try to confince them.

“Calm down, don’t tell me they are not going home?” Ask Alvern.

“Yes”

“”….”” Both of them silenced.

“Those group of idiots” Said Zexalone.

“Adventure!! YESS!!! Another chance to look around” Said Alvern happily.

“Guys, can we at least move now? We can go look around later when we finish with this assignment” I try to make them act quickly so we can go after the prince.

“Listen Kino, even if we finish the job, there will be no guarantee that we will have some free time to look around” Said Alvern.

“I agree with Alvern, but those idiots still new in this kind of things” Said Zexalone.

“Uhhh…” I can’t say anything.

It is true that Zexalone is more experienced in exploring than me.

“I hope we can catch them quick” I just pray that we still manage to find them.
