"I can grant you 3 wishes no matter what it is I'll obey it. Ask me for anything you desire."

 

Freed at last. I looked down at the boy who had awoken me and told him the usual thing.

He was a boy with long braids and thick bow lips, dark skin that possessed a unique sheen, and curvacious eyebrows his notable feature being his blood-red eyes that had an overwhelming intensity to them. Maybe he's a spirit in disguise?

 

It's not every day you find a genie. A being willing to grant any wish you desire in existence.

 

I wonder what he'll ask of me.

 

"I wish for unlimited wi—"

 

"No."

 

"Why!?"

 

Why do they always ask me this!

 

"I can only grant a wish within my power. I don't possess unlimited power so it's impossible for me to do such a thing."

 

"Okay..."

 

The boy looked down. 

 

It seemed he was really banking on that working. 

 

"Then I wish you had unlimited power!"

 

"That's not how that works..."

 

The boy looked down again.

 

Seriously what is it that he's not understanding.

 

"Then I wish that I could wish for you have unlimited power!"

 

"..."

 

I'm gonna lobotomise this child.

 

In response to my silence he fell to the floor.

 

I almost feel bad.

 

"Awww Little boy. It's okay you humans always ask for such stuff! I know it's a lot being face to face with someone like me but just calm down and think it through okay."

 

He looked ticked off when I said that for some reason.

 

How cute.

 

"Alright! How about this I wish for you to give me 100 wishes!"

 

"No."

 

"Huuuhhhhh!"

 

He fell again.

 

Stop that! You'll hurt yourself.

 

"Sorry but the rules state that you can't wish for more wishes."

 

"Ahhh so genies are actually useless."

 

"Rich coming from a human with no powers!"

 

"Don't look down on us humans!"

 

I'm starting to feel less bad for this brat.

 

"Look kid. Many have come to us before and made amazing wishes that have helped shaped the world! We genies could be linked to many miracles and tragedies in your realm, over the millennium we've been here!"

 

The kid went silent. Is he finally thinking of making a change?

 

It took a while but he's finally there! 

 

Sure he asked for something selfish at the start but nearly all lowly humans do. I knew from the moment I saw him that he had a good heart!

 

I wonder what these modern era humans are like compared to their ancestors.

 

What great things they'll wish for!

 

"So you can do anything as long as it's within your power?"

 

"That's correct!"

 

Okay he's thinking!

 

"As a genie you're like immortal. So you'll live forever right? So you basically have unlimited life energy, mana or whatever you call it?"

 

"Yeah!"

 

Is he going to ask for immortality? Maybe to increase the life expectancy?

 

"And no matter what type of wish it is, you have to do it?"

 

"Yes from the moment you summoned me. We've entered a contract where I'll do any wish within my power and it only ends once all the wishes are granted or you decided to end it such as say only 2 wishes was enough for you."

 

"That's perfect."

 

The boy started smiling.

 

What's this feeling.

 

Why are his eyes glowing?

 

Since when could humans do that!

 

"Okay I wish for you to convert your life energy into power for your wishes!"

 

I blankly stared at him.

 

"What?"

 

"You heard me genie boy. Convert your life energy,mana whatever keeps you alive into power for your wishes."

 

"But that'll  theoretically give you an unlimited number of— Oh."

 

While it would give him an unlimited amount of wishes. 

 

He still needs me as a medium to complete them. It's his loss either way.

 

Luckily he isn't smart. So the wish is null.

 

"That's not all. I don't want you die so for my second wish, I only want your life energy to deplete when you make a wish. If a wish isn't made by me then nothing happens to you."

 

This kids evil.

 

"Yo-You! Is this what humans have become in today societies?"

 

"Ahhh still looking down on us? In that case for my third wish..."

 

Suddenly I don't feel good.

 

"I wish for you take a human form!"

 

I was hoping for a punchline.

 

Maybe a "Just kidding haha!"

 

But nope.

 

This kid was serious.

 

Unable to go against the contract. I lifted my fingers as a visualisation of me beginning the wish.

 

I don't know what's going to happen to me.

 

I'll be granting wishes for him everyday.

 

Why did this human suddenly get so smart?

 

"Chop Chop Magic-man. I haven't got all day!"

 

I want to beat this child.

 

With nothing else to do.

 

I snapped my fingers.

 

"Your wish has been granted."

 

I can only hope that something good comes out of...
