“How noisy.”

“What did you say?”

There was no reply. She ignored the people around her. It didn’t take long for that person to get up and look around. It was a good thing as she brought her hand up to her nose and dabbed at the blood. It was tedious, no matter how strong she became there would always be backlash that seemed to affect them in set parameters. No matter how much the equation was deciphered the end result would always be different. Like the system was changing the value based solely off their estimated values. Worse yet each one of them had their own personalities that placed higher values on different actions and yet somehow they were never completely wrong.

Still she didn’t regret her actions. She could feel her insides being ripped up and torn as if she was having a series of knives stabbed into and spinning to make her solid insides into a liquid paste. Each time the end result was always the same. The pain would never go away, it was a set value that everyone agreed on. The system would give them damage depending on their actions but the pain would never change. Unfortunately for that, in the same way they could interfere was the same way they would continue to do so. Regardless of the consequences.

No matter how she looked around, nothing really seemed to be out of place. There was group one that panicked and rushed to the doors without understanding anything. These people would be the first to die and even those that survive were useless. Group two was not much different. If one cared too much, the other cared too little. As for the third group it was also likely they had nobody interesting in there either. Still it was at least possible for the third group to produce something worth looking at. At some unknown time she started to hold the hand of a woman that didn’t know her but didn’t chase her away.

Following this woman they moved between groups. No matter where they went nobody had any real answers. She was slightly annoyed by the fact she was going through a large amount of pain without finding anything of interest. During all of this she had to concentrate on her orifices as the moment she stopped there would be blood leaking from all seven. With this body's long hair she continued to release slight amounts of pressure by releasing bits and pieces of the blood from her ears. She couldn’t release too much and couldn’t allow it to flow freely.

For one the blood wouldn’t make her feel better. At most the pressure might feel slightly better but it wasn’t enough to matter. As for those around her it would take her time to recover enough so that those around her wouldn’t notice. Luckily soon after the doors opened and the first death of group one started to make reality start to creep up on the group. As their group left she was still holding the random woman's hand. As they left they were slowly moving towards the sound of a flowing river. Only she didn’t pay much attention to this.

She had isolated a piece of her ego and was currently focusing on healing herself. In her current state she was unable to do anything as it was unlikely for anything to happen. While hiding her ego, she left a small piece inside with enough thought to be an unknowing child. It could be said this was a way of separating your soul into different parts to the point you isolated an entire person that would move and act for you. In the end it was you but a smaller part in the same way the body would naturally breath on its own. Or more adapted reasoning being walking.

In the beginning you need to learn to walk on your own and it isn’t a fast or easy process. Slowly as you age you master it to the point as an adult you can walk even in your sleep or without paying any attention to it. This would be considered part of the same line of thinking. It wasn’t a very powerful tool and it was very rarely ever used as it gave the impression of multiple personality or dissociative identity disorder. In reality there was a master ego and slave egos. She was in control of it all but she didn’t allow the slave's ego access to anything outside of what she gave it. Therefore she would portray herself the way she intended and would have no idea that she was simply a manufactured personality.

What she did was not something simple or easy. In fact it would probably send shockwaves throughout divine kingdoms if it became known what she had done. Even amongst gods and devils there was generally a distinction of power. Usually this had to do with the extreme spectrum. The more extreme their power the more extreme their personality would follow. In a way they were their power and their power was them. Unlike those that awaken a class they built their class from the ground up around their very beings. Thus it was no surprise that those with extreme personalities usually had strange abilities which generally meant they had very powerful abilities as to accomplish something outside the norm was not very easy to do.

While it would take decades to recover, she was only given less than an hour. Her master ego was triggered shortly before an hour had passed. When she replaced her slave ego she had already looked around and felt the problem. But there was a bigger issue at hand. There was one type of being outside the realm of instinctual or intelligent. Many didn’t wish to admit it but at their level the two had no meaning. They had instincts at a higher level than the most sensitive demonic beast while those that were once demonic beasts had intelligence that only the most despicable prodigies of tactics and schemes could rival.

She had chosen this location because of her instincts. Their level had gotten so high that most gods or devils were no longer bothered by using them. She had no doubt that if there was danger here it was the best location and because she picked it in the end it meant that this place wouldn’t pose any real danger. No matter why she decided on this course of action, if it meant she had to risk her life she would have killed or abandoned all of them. They would have been torn apart or left in a state that they could only wish they had been killed in the transfer process.

Still the biggest issue with this current situation they were in was not that something was watching from afar but that they could get so close to them. Glancing up she saw the woman turn towards her and smile before looking forward. There was nobody else in sight. “In the back of my head I didn’t care why you accepted my hand, it simply made what was to come easier…”

Turning back to look at her with the sweetest smile, “What are you talking about sweetie?”

Her expression seemed to freeze slightly when the child turned in her direction and looked at her without a single expressed emotion, “Your biggest mistake was not controlling your desires. You have no idea what world I have brought you to. Yet you lowest world people never seem to think clearly about the consequences of your actions before you act. It is no wonder the death rate of lowest level participants has skyrocketed to what it once was. Truly a pity. So much useless waste needs to be filtered to find what is needed.”

Following with a heavy sigh the woman couldn’t help but release the hand she was holding. The entire time they had been moving the child had not said a single word. Even when she talked to her endlessly she would only shyly nod or shack her head in response. Yet not only was she talking she was acting strange. Worse, there was blood coming from her eyes and nose as she gave her a look that made her feel immensely uneasy, “What are you planning to do?”

With a smile that caused fear to fill every fiber of her being the blood from her eyes and nose got caught on the upturn of her lips and dimples as she could even faintly see the whites of her teeth hidden by the now crimson lips, “I don’t have to do anything. You isolated yourself in an unknown ancient forest. Did you not stop and think about the possibilities of there being other living creatures here?”

Looking up behind the girl she saw movement in the woods. She turned around and tried to run back in the general direction she had come from but she tripped on a tree root that had been pulled to the surface at some unknown time in the past. As she fell she was panicking and failed to catch herself as she stumbled and rolled on the uneven ground. Within a second of rolling her head made contact with a rock as she felt woozy and couldn’t even sit up right let alone get up and run. As she heard movement behind her she tried to struggle up but she failed as she felt something press down on her back as she felt pain cutting into her from the edges of the pressure.

She didn’t stay long and turned away without a change in expression. Though she did look at the creatures for a split second. They reminded her of a rumor she had heard a while back about a greedy, stupid, and lucky demigod. She couldn’t help but crack another smile as she took a step. With that step she was completely gone. As the creatures devouring the woman had turned from time to time in the direction of the girl that had disappeared. It had seen two people when it stumbled upon this prey. Somehow the prey became aware of it and tripped and fell knocking itself into an unstable state. But strangely enough the little girl it had seen traveling with the woman was gone when they finally came out. The two other creatures looked up at the creature with a scar cutting across its eye as the three continued to eat the slightly still moving and screaming creature.

She had stabilized her injuries to a little extent. Crouching briefly she cupped her hands together as she brought up water to her face. After washing it she wrung her hair out to remove all the blood. She still couldn’t do much but in this place there was nothing to fear. With another step she appeared on a tree top that was lonely and without approach. The top poked through the clouds. It was an old tree that was now black and the tip didn’t have any leaves and only a few branches. The tip had numerous cracks as it had been completely charred black by lightning.

With a few deep breaths she lightly ran her hand through her hair as she could feel the cold wind blowing. It felt refreshing, yet once her hair was dry she turned in a direction and took another step as she quickly dipped into the clouds before stepping onto a rock. At an unknown point she had appeared in a group of children. Nobody seemed to notice and when they did they were more than happy to approach her to talk and play with her. When they did they received a shy and embarrassed smile. She had once again put her slave ego in control.

As they played and talked she started to open up. When others looked over, a few of them smiled. The problem was some of them didn’t smile and were frowning. Finally one of them couldn’t take it and yelled at the kids to be quiet. The atmosphere that was just starting to lighten up quickly deteriorated back into a gloomy and dark atmosphere that spread a depressing anxiety over this group. One of the kids had come with an adult and they quickly took the child away. Very quickly most of the children followed. Soon they reorganized themselves with another group of children as there was a pocket of kids playing inside a loose circle with many adults on the edge.

It was near the edge she was moving when her pupils shrank to pins as she felt the universal energy that called her to this group. It was faint but she was finally able to confirm what she was looking for was here. It now became a problem if the thing she was looking for would be useful. Normally when looking for a seed someone with her position on the extreme spectrum needed a person from hell. As their power represented who they were it also meant their power was vastly more likely to cripple and destroy a person that was not compatible. Therefore hell trials became the place to look for extreme seeds.

The issue was hell had been cut off from the lowest level worlds. There would be one group per indoctrination. The success rate was dismal to begin with. Slowly it actually started to deteriorate when the hell trial difficulties didn’t change. This was a sign the lowest level worlds were deteriorating. It got to the point that once every few decades would see one group get wiped out in hell to finally it becoming locked and rarely if ever accepting new participants. For that reason, her injuries were so severe because this was not a hell group…

“You okay?” a little girl with pigtails turned to her friend. She had suddenly stopped responding and was looking around with a strange look before she turned distant as she had a distracted look on her face. This caused her to worry as she thought she might need to go to the bathroom.

“Huh? Haha, nothing. I just thought I heard someone calling me. But I was wrong.”

The two continued to play for a period of time before her friend started to get bored and went to play with someone else. She was invited but didn’t continue along as she started to wander aimlessly inside the protection bubble of adults. Unbenounced to her she had actually left the bubble. With her small blimp of power she aggravated some of her injuries as she was currently having trouble hiding her injuries so she had to take over the slave ego so it didn’t randomly start spitting up blood. She could do many things but usually the simplest was the best course of action. She pretended to slip as she was planning to fall and use a small crevice to spit up some of the blood she needed to remove from her body.

As she started to fall she brought the blood to her mouth when she was quickly caught by the arm. It was sudden and surprising. Not because she was grabbed but the touch itself caused a reaction. She knew he was there and had anticipated the possibility of him caughting her but she didn’t pay it much mind as she could distance herself from him and do it again. There were many other ways to remove the blood from her system even without this method. It was just the simplest and fastest method. Only she didn’t feel anything being near him and only felt it when they made contact.

It was rare in her life to be so surprised. She nearly spat the blood out of her mouth. Very quickly she swallowed it down and froze slightly as she quickly switched with her slave ego. The transferring of information to have it respond correspondingly to the situation as if she experienced it caused a delay in reaction. In this delay the man quickly let go of her almost apologetically as her delay caused her to finally jerk away from the touch. Very quickly her slave ego processed what just happened and seemed embarrassed. With a small bit of embarrassment it spat out a thank you before moving away.

She made sure not to leave the vicinity of the man but she didn’t interfere with the slave ego again to ensure that she didn’t give it away as she focused on her injuries. Since she found who she was looking for she didn’t wish to leave. Therefore it became more troublesome to deal with her injuries at the moment. As she dealt with her injuries she slowed down slightly as she didn’t concentrate completely on them as she paid attention to the man. No matter how she looked at it he didn’t seem like a reasonable party. There was nearly no correlation between him and the way he acted to her position on the extreme spectrum.
