I don’t even know what I’m doing now, the only thing I have in my mind right now is the desire to destroy this cat, my life and my friend’s depend on this decision that I decided to take, I knew it was risky considering I’m currently harming the thing Jaggi appreciates the most.

 

I'm so disgusted about myself, not only because of the dirty paw of this cat inside my mouth but it’s more about the fact that I’m harming an animal, a jerk one, but an animal nonetheless, I may be a scum but never in my life I ever wished to do something like this to a cat, that’s something I want to clarify.

 

“Leave him alone!” It seems like Jaggi has lost control of his emotions once again.

 

I’m starting to feel scared as he might use one of his horrible fire spells, however, I’m ready to use this cat as a shield, and the moment Jaggi locked his eyes with my own I made sure to let him know with my look that I wasn't going to surrender easily, I suddenly started to shake this cat from side to side.

 

“That hurts!” The cat said completely angry as he started to slap my face with his free sharp paw, it’s obvious that he had ruined my face with some of them, however, I was not going to stop.

 

“Oh hoho… This looks interesting, sorcerer Jaggi… What are you going to do? If you use a spell against him you might end up roasting your cat too,” I could hear the messenger of death, it seemed like she was having a good time, good for her I guess.

 

And Jaggi being the fool impulsive he has always been saw no other choice but to grab his cat from his back legs to try to force him out of my grip, I’m surprised he didn’t try something more aggressive but I’m grateful he didn’t do that, his feelings were clouding his judgment clearly, he has always been like that, after all, coming from a very important family in which you are in the bottom of the chain can harm anyone’s self stem.

 

“If you keep going like that, you’re going to end up ripping him in two and with that, I can claim his soul!” The messenger of death’s words made him stop in his tracks, it seemed like he was losing the reason.

 

“You want me to untie you, right? I’ll do it… I’ll set you free, you’re too weak to do anything against me, anyway!” He started to laugh like crazy and then, surprisingly he did something I wasn’t expecting, he freed me.

 

Once he did that I didn’t waste any time and I got on my feet, I took the cat’s paw out of my mouth, and then I grabbed him by the skin behind his head in the same way a mother cat would to carry her kittens.

 

“So… Now you think that just because you’re free holding my cat like a shield, you’re in charge? Have you ever thought that maybe that's just part of my plan!” Jaggi smirked at me. “Sir Whiskers now!” My former friend screamed at his cat who suddenly turned so small, and in a fraction of a second he flew back to my friend.

 

I couldn’t help but stare at them with complete horror, I was done for sure.

 

“You might be asking yourself why I didn’t do that before... Well, love can blind you, you know? Also, take into account that I was afraid that in the case of me reducing his size, he would end up completely inside your mouth and being eaten by you… I couldn’t risk my dear cat ending like that,” Surprisingly what he said was making sense.

 

“Jaggi… You don’t have to do this, you heard the messenger of death… You need more sorcerers’ souls, mine isn’t enough,” I tried to make him understand as I moved slowly across the room.

 

“Messenger… If I give you a soul it’s added to my credit? Like you would only charge me the remaining souls the next time I summon you?” His words made me gulp and my eyes widened.

 

The messenger remained in silence for a few moments, I continued moving across the room trying to find a way to save myself from his wrath.

 

“You know what? It has been fun, so, I’m going to concede to you that, after all, sorcerer souls are delicious, my mother loves them,” the messenger said and I knew this was over, there was no way for me to save myself from my destiny.

 

I was already in the part of the room where Jaggi kept his figurines, I couldn’t help but stare at the replica of my friend.

 

“Allee… I’m sorry for bringing you here,” I said accepting my faith.

 

“Well… If that’s the case then…” Jaggi smirked and suddenly his eyes started to glow.

 

“No… I can’t give up too easily!” I suddenly took my friend’s figurine and tried to escape.

 

It didn’t take too long before Jaggi started to shoot fire lasers from his eyes, he was following me with that.

 

“Give me back my new maid figure!” Jaggi said like an idiot.

 

“You fool… He’s escaping!” Sir Whiskers said angrily trying to get back his owner to reality.

 

“Don’t worry… Let him go, we don’t want to ruin your palace, right your Highness?” Jaggi asked his cat who didn’t say anything. “Don’t worry… We’re going to set things outside,” those are the last words I heard from Jaggi before I disappeared.

 

After hearing that I realized something, the reason Jaggi may not want to damage this palace is because there are no humans to rebuild things.

 

“Okay, I think I have a chance to break Allee’s curse… First I need to find what I’m looking for,” and instead of going outside just like Jaggi thought I would, I decided to go upstairs, there’s something I wanted to find, so, I took out my staff.

 

I pressed the top part of my staff and it didn’t take too long before the thing started to move around the second floor.

 

“Yes… Find it, baby!” I said with a grin on my face and in a matter of seconds, my staff started to vibrate once it reached a certain room with the number “9669” and when I opened the door, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing inside.

 

There was a red gem in the middle of the room with five girls who were surrounding the gem while holding their hands, they looked soulless, tired, and with completely lost expressions.

 

“So this is what he’s using to keep the spell going, he let things out in the open like this, he wasn't even worried about me finding it, this just tells me two things… One, he’s such an arrogant prick who never in his life thought his plan could fail and the other thing is that he wasn't expecting someone like me would destroy his plans,” I sighed.

 

There was another possibility, and that is the possibility of him not even caring about it, he’s too powerful, in case his plans get destroyed, he only needs to dispose of whoever ruins his plans and then he can continue with his plans.

 

“Well Jaggi… Your arrogance is going to cost you a lot,” I smirked as I suddenly walked towards the gem but once I crossed the barrier of arms that were protecting the gem, I was attacked by one of the women keeping the link alive.

 

They started to bark and attack me as if they were wolves or dogs.

 

“Girls… You need to wake up, this is not you!” I tried to tell them despite the fact I knew nothing about them.

 

But it was useless, the five women took a certain position that made them look like animals and it didn't take too long for them before they started to chase me around the room, and every time I tried to get as close as I could to the gem in the middle of the room I couldn’t succeed at it, I needed a new strategy because the father I was from the gem, the calmer they got.

 

“Okay, I’m leaving all of you with your toy… I’m going without doing anything to you girls and—” I suddenly said before I launched my staff on the air.

 

I jumped towards my staff that has the ability to levitate for a few seconds, but that’s more than enough time needed for me to fall close to the gem before finally taking it.

 

I was about to celebrate but then something horrible happened, I felt my body start to get intoxicated with fire, and soon, a blast of energy filled the room but it got big in a matter of seconds, this ball of energy destroyed this building and most of the things in the city as this energy got too powerful, that was the last thing I saw before collapsing.

 

When I opened my eyes I felt so weak, I couldn’t even feel my magic, I looked at my hands and they looked so white and pale like I had no color, my healthy light skin was gone and now my color seemed to be closer to the color of the snow, but there’s one positive thing for sure, at least I had the gem in my hands.

 

“What happened?” I heard someone say, it was Allee and I couldn’t help but smile softly at her.

 

I managed to take a glimpse of her, she was waking up but it was almost impossible for her to move because the women who were guarding this gem were on top of her.

 

“Well… Look at this, not that I’m not flattered, but who are you girls?” Asked Allee with a blush on her face.

 

And it didn’t take too long for the women to get up.

 

“Your friend right there… He broke the curse!” One of the girls said as she pointed at me.

 

And I could barely see my friend’s happy expression changing for a more concerned one.

 

“Kazz!” She said before she ran towards where I was lying.

 

“Allee… I don’t know if I’ll be able to survive this but please…Get out of here… That man is dangerous,” I tried to tell her, she has no chance against him. “And please, don’t you ever look at him directly in the eyes if you fight against him,” I added trying to help her escape from here, my fate was already sealed there was nothing left for me.

 

“That’s a good tip,” Jaggi suddenly appeared floating with his cat in the same state as him.

 

And the girls suddenly started to scream in panic.

 

“Not again, please… I don’t want to be a pet anymore!” A girl said on the verge of tears.

 

“Don’t worry…You’ll be back to your positions, everyone, not just you… I’m talking about the rest of the citizens, my figurines which I’m sure came back to life… It doesn’t matter how much you try it, as long as Sir Whiskers has me, there’s no hope for anyone, not even you Kazz,” Jaggi suddenly looked at me with a smirk.

 

I could barely move so I didn’t do anything.

 

“Kazz… Do you remember when you were punished with bad luck for stealing the three celestial cores? Well, let me tell you that we always knew you were innocent, in fact, right now you’re holding one of the legendary celestial gems,” Jaggi suddenly started to laugh like crazy.

 

I took a small look at the glowing gem.

 

“It seems like you discharged it, of course, it makes sense due to you being from the electrical element, however, you shouldn’t overcharge weak things or they might end up becoming more useless than they already were,” Jaggi continued laughing. “I don’t care anyway, as long as I have my soul gem, nothing could ever stop me… We’ll get things back to how they were before you came here,” Jaggi yawned as if he wasn’t dealing with a serious problem right now.

 

He got close to Sir Whiskers and took the collar he had on his neck, and my eyes widened for not realizing this before, it didn’t take too long before he swallowed the gem and his body started to glow.

 

“This is a side of me that no one has ever seen… But I’m going to give you and your friend the honor to see me like this… Kazz, I’m going to show you the horror you released to this world before I sell your soul to the messenger of death,” He threatened me.

 

And I thought this was over, the town, my life, everything was over, I needed at least a few hours of rest before getting my energy back, but then something I didn’t expect happened.

 

Allee got on her feet and she looked at Jaggi's eyes with a serious expression.

 

“Your reign of terror is over,” Allee threatened him.

 

To say that we were surprised would be an understatement.
