Bang.

A violent explosion engulfed the sky with soaring flames resounding over the entire New York City.

Inside a medical building.

Anna looked at the fire in the distant sky, frowned slightly: "What happened?"

"New York is like that, just stay a while and get used to it. There's been a lot more commotion at Stark Industries not long ago than this."

Behind Anna, a young girl with a standard oriental face came up. Her eyes were also looking at the explosion not far away. Holding two glasses of red wine in her hand, she handed a glass to Anna.

Anna took it and smiled, "Thanks, Helen."

"Didn't you say you were leaving today? Why did you stay?"

Helen took a sip of red wine and replied, "I was planning to leave. But the man you brought, his experiment attracted me. So I decided to stay and see."

Anna and Helen clinked their glasses lightly, and then Anna said, "How is Peter now?"

"He just went back, and he will come back tomorrow. The medicine was successfully made and injected. The physical condition of the modified person is also recovering, and my molecular bridge is working. If it goes well, I will be able to help him regain normal consciousness tomorrow."

Anna nodded and said: "Thanks to you this time, otherwise we really can't do anything. Do you still need to see things like that between you and me?"

Helen continued: "By the way, New York has not been peaceful recently. You need to pay attention to your safety."

"Your uncle's affairs are over, if you're okay, you can fly over to find me."

Anna heard something in Helen's words and asked suspiciously, "What happened? "

"It seems that George has nothing to tell you."

Being reminded by Helen, Anna immediately thought of how George had left the police station in a hurry this morning. At that time she wondered if something was wrong.

Helen continued: "The general stationed in the New York Military District was assassinated last night."

Anna's face changed in an instant, which was no trivial matter. A military commander assassinated in New York would absolutely cause major repercussions. Coupled with the status of the country in the world, once this spreads, the world is going to be in turmoil more or less.

Looking at Anna's shocked face, Helen continued: "People in the military district now suspect that the assassin who killed the general is still in New York."

"In the next period of time, the dark tide in New York will not be peaceful. So you need to be very careful."

"By the way, I just wanted to ask you - that tallest building over there belongs to which company?"

Anna pointed in one direction, where a high-rise building was being constructed in the center of New York. Judging from the framework, once completed, it was likely to become the tallest building in New York. To be able to build such a tall structure in New York, regardless of financial resources or background, the company must be top-tier.

"In the whole of New York, who else is there but Stark Industries with the deep pockets?"

"Didn't Stark Industries have its own factory?" Anna wondered, after all, when she first came to New York, she had visited it once.

"Tony Stark stopped all Stark weapons production before he became Iron Man. After he became Iron Man, he devoted himself to developing new energy. CEO Pepper Potts determined some time ago that the new direction of Stark Industries will be more focused on improving people's livelihood."

Helen explained slowly: "That building is the future Stark Industrial Building, which is said to be 100% powered by renewable energy."

Anna nodded, looked down at New York City, and said, "I haven't been back for a few years. This New York has become a lot more unfamiliar."

"It may also be that the world is changing too fast."

The two smiled at each other and clinked glasses again.

Osborn Industries.

Norman stood by the balcony, watching the blazing explosion not far away.

"This firework is really good. I just don't know who set it off."

The high-pitched voice was obviously Green Goblin using Norman's body.

While Green Goblin admired the fireworks in the sky, a cloud of red smoke appeared out of thin air behind him, slowly condensing into a smoky head. The appearance of the head resembled Mephisto.

Green Goblin also felt the fluctuation of Mephisto's power behind him, and immediately turned around and gave Mephisto a very respectful salute.

"Master."

Mephisto looked at Green Goblin, his expression changed: "Norman. Did you encounter the Emperor again?"

"Yes, Master. But I didn't provoke him this time."

Green Goblin recounted everything about that day. Mephisto didn't care about Green Goblin killing a general. If he desired, Mephisto wouldn't care even if the entire planet was destroyed.

"Yes, you are quite self-aware. I won't act recklessly when facing an enemy I can't deal with."

Green Goblin bowed his head in shame: "Thank you master for your praise."

He wanted to be reckless, but as soon as he saw Emperor Andrew, he became cowardly. He didn't even dare to stay for one more second.

Mephisto nodded slightly, and a small swirl of smoke appeared beside his smoky head. In the center of the whirlpool, a thin black stick floated out and flew in front of Green Goblin.

"Master, what is this?"

Without explaining too much, Mephisto said: "I borrowed it from a friend in hell. Put it with you for now. This thing will be useful when dealing with Emperor Andrew in the future."

Hearing that it could be used against the Emperor, Green Goblin took it with both hands reverently. Unexpectedly, when he first touched the black stick, it turned into a pool of black water and poured directly into Green Goblin's body.

For a split second, Green Goblin felt pain as if his entire body was being scorched by fire.

"Ah...Master, what's going on..."

"..."

Mephisto explained flatly: "It's an artifact of a god. Don't worry, this pain will soon pass. And your strength will also increase."

After speaking, the smoke around Mephisto slowly faded until it disappeared into Norman's office.

Green Goblin endured the piercing pain, and the white eyes in his mask slowly turned into a deep black. Very sinister-looking.

At the same time, in hell.

Countless red flames burned, and a green figure with disheveled hair slowly raised his head. With hatred in his eyes, he muttered, "Odin..."
