Finally, this morning, the sports day is here. All is set; the folks from the village are already at the school ground, eagerly waiting for the event to start. After a boring speech from the headmaster, the 34th Fumizuki All-Girls High School sports day began.

High spirits and enthusiasm painted the day onward with various matches, including basketball, baseball, cavalierie game, ball toss, volleyball, and the final race involving all existing athletic clubs. Mitsura Miyagi, of course, would be the anchor runner for the track club team, accompanied by her long-time rival, Takao Kagami, the captain of the basketball club.

"With you again, I presume, Kagami," Miyagi said.

"The loss last year will be my win today," Kagami confidently replied. As the day unfolded, the competitive energy radiated across the sports field. Miyagi and Kagami's rivalry added an extra layer of excitement to the track events. The spectators eagerly watched as the two prepared for the anchor leg of the relay.

The baton passed smoothly into Miyagi's hand, and with swift determination, she raced ahead. Kagami, not one to back down, pushed herself to close the gap. The crowd erupted into cheers as the two sprinted towards the finish line, the outcome uncertain until the last moment.

In the end, Miyagi managed to secure the victory for the track club. Panting, she exchanged a nod of respect with Kagami, acknowledging the fierce competition that defined their annual face-off.

The sports day continued with other thrilling matches, showcasing the diverse talents of Fumizuki's students. The basketball team, led by Kagami, displayed remarkable teamwork, and the baseball game brought laughter and cheers from the spectators.

As the day reached its climax, the final race featuring members from all athletic clubs commenced. Eri, who had observed the events with a smile, couldn't resist the urge to join. With a burst of energy, she sprinted alongside the students, adding an unexpected twist to the friendly competition.

The sports day concluded with a sense of  achievement. The students, exhausted but fulfilled, gathered for a closing ceremony, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship and unity that defined Fumizuki All-Girls High School's annual event.

"What a race, Miyagi," Mutsu commented, and beside her was Eri, who added, "Good job out there; you're fast, girl."

"Thank you, thank you, everyone," Miyagi responded. Finally, she met with Kagami. "Close one, yes?" Miyagi said.

"Yeah... Tough luck. Maybe next year, I'll beat you, Miyagi."

"I can't wait for that. Anyway, good match in your basketball."

"Yes, with this, I hope our team can reach the interhigh."

"I cheer you on, Kagami."

"Thanks, Miyagi."

The camaraderie between the students was evident as Miyagi exchanged friendly banter with her friends and competitors. Mutsu and Eri's encouragement added to the post-race celebration.

The atmosphere was filled with a sense of achievement and mutual support. The students, having showcased their talents and determination, gathered for the closing ceremony, marking the end of another memorable sports day at Fumizuki All-Girls High School.

"What a wild day today," Eri commented, walking home together with Mutsu and Miyagi. "Why aren't you participating in any sports, Mutsu? The first time I saw you, I thought you were an annoying, hyper-energy athletic countryside girl compared to Miyagi," Eri said.

"What was that!? I just find clubs annoying and they take too much time. They have clear destinations, like Koshien for baseball and interhigh for basketball, and some sort. I just want to play."

"Just for the record, I was a regular on the middle school baseball team. Ah, I remember your home run with a one-arm swing yesterday. Aren't you?" Mutsu said.

"You knew?"

"Of course, the baseball team manager told me. And they're interested in making you their coach."

"What!? No, no, no. Real hard pass. I have no interest in teaching some countryside brats to play baseball. Besides, baseball is Japan's strongest game, right?"

"Yeah, I already knew you would say no, Eri. But still, you can play with them and show some, uh, tricks?"

"What trick could I provide in a baseball game? Just swing harder and throw harder; that's the only thing I know."

"Okay, okay, sheesh, no one's forcing you here... Anyway, are your crops doing well?"

"Yes, they are. Quite lovely, I would say. I'm mainly focusing on summer plants like corn and tomatoes, and I planted some potatoes as well."

"I see, glad to see you doing well, Eri. I'll visit your farm sometime."

"But you won't do anything weird, right?"

"Of course not, what do you take me for?"

"Like before, an over-energetic, annoying village brat. But in a good way."

"Alright then, just checking. By the way, Mutsu, how about you? Any plans for the afternoon?" Eri asked.

"Nah, just gonna relax. Maybe catch up on some reading. You two enjoy your day," Mutsu replied.

As they walked through the tranquil countryside, Miyagi spoke up, "Eri, you ever miss the hustle and bustle of the city?"

"Sometimes, but the peacefulness here has its charm. Plus, it's a good place to hide from my past," Eri admitted.

They reached Eri's farm, surrounded by lush greenery of the crops, some of them is new seedlings. "Here we are. Feel free to look around, just don't trample my crops," Eri said with a smirk.

Mutsu wandered off to explore while Miyagi stayed close to Eri. "You've done wonders with this place, Eri. It's like a small paradise."

"You exaggerating I still new farmer so clearly far from that but still, I'm glad you think so. It keeps me grounded," Eri replied.

As they strolled around, they discussed the upcoming festival in the village. Eri mentioned, "I'm helping with the preparations. We're planning a bonfire, some traditional dances, and of course, a bit of sake."

"Sake, huh? Count me in," Miyagi grinned. "Count your in? As if! You're still minor no alcohol for you." Eri commented.

The three friends spent the afternoon enjoying the serenity of Eri's farm, cherishing the simple joys of life in the countryside. After the sunset, Mutsu and Miyagi invited Eri to the fireworks festival in the evening. Despite the festivities of the sports day, they still had the energy for a fireworks celebration.

"Remember to wear a yukata, Eri!" Mutsu exclaimed. "I don't have one," Eri responded.

"Don't worry; I believe Naru has one in your size. I'll contact her right away." Mutsu pulled out her phone and dialed Naru's number

"Hey Naru, it's Mutsu. Do you still have that beautiful yukata of yours? Eri's planning to wear it. Great, I asked her to swing by your place." It seemed Mutsu had a direct line to Naru and quickly arranged for Eri to borrow the yukata. Eri couldn't refuse the new schedule.

Given Eri's Western physique and distinctive features, the yukata could be tailored to complement her unique characteristics. The deep blue yukata, adorned with traditional Japanese patterns, could contrast beautifully with her radiant silver hair and emphasize her enchanting green irises. The indigo base not only resonated with the rural surroundings but also created a striking visual harmony with Eri's distinctive appearance.

To enhance the ensemble, Naru suggested a wider obi with intricate patterns, incorporating both indigo and a touch of silver or green. This would add a touch of sophistication while harmonizing with Eri's hair and eye colors. The yukata's design would celebrate the fusion of Japanese tradition with Eri's distinct Western features, making her stand out in a tasteful and culturally rich manner during the fireworks festival. Naru even decided to add a delicate accessory to Eri's hair and borrowed some fabric from her mother to complete the look.

"Wow, this is great! I had no idea you owned a yukata like this. Is it new?" Mutsu asked.

"Nah, this was custom-made by me for that girl," Naru replied with a smile.

Mutsu eagerly accepted the responsibility and decided to personally assist Eri in donning the yukata. As they gathered at Naru's place, Mutsu carefully unfolded the vibrant fabric, explaining the intricacies of each fold and tie.

"Eri, this yukata will look stunning on you. Let me help you with this. It's all about the art of wearing it gracefully," Mutsu said with a warm smile.

With gentle guidance, Mutsu skillfully wrapped the yukata around Eri, adjusting the folds to enhance her silhouette. The deep blue hues and traditional patterns seamlessly complemented Eri's features.

"Perfect! Now, the obi – a bit tighter here to accentuate your waist," Mutsu instructed, cinching the obi with a deft touch.

As Mutsu finished the ensemble, Eri marveled at her reflection. The fusion of Japanese tradition and her Western features created a captivating harmony. Grateful for Mutsu's assistance, Eri couldn't help but express her appreciation.

"Thank you, Mutsu! I would have been lost without your help. This is truly amazing," Eri exclaimed, feeling a newfound confidence in the stunning yukata.
