Chapter 27: A New Beginning
The long-awaited day finally arrived when Elsie gave birth to Neil, marking the culmination of her incredible journey and her unwavering commitment to her promise. The process, magical in nature, was unlike any conventional birth. Neil, upon being born, was destined to rapidly age at an extraordinary rate – five years a day – until he reached the age he was at the time of his death.
Throughout the birthing process, Astricx was a constant presence by Elsie's side, providing support and comfort. His role transcended that of a mentor or ally; he was like a father figure, holding her hand and offering words of encouragement.
"You're doing wonderfully, Elsie," Astricx assured her, as she endured the pains of labor.
Elsie, amidst the intensity of the moment, found strength in his presence. "Thank you, Astricx. I couldn't have done this without you," she managed to say through the pain.
When Neil was finally born, the moment was bittersweet. He was no longer the friend Elsie had known; he was now like a child to her, rapidly growing before her eyes. Neil, too, struggled to come to terms with his new reality.
As he aged rapidly over the subsequent days, reaching his late teens, the dynamics of his relationship with Elsie inevitably changed. He came to see her more as a mother figure, a protector who had given him a second chance at life.
Elsie, while recovering from the birth, spent time with Neil, explaining the circumstances of his rebirth and the changes that had occurred. "Neil, I promised to bring you back. But things are different now," she said gently.
Neil, looking at Elsie with a mix of gratitude and confusion, replied, "I understand, Elsie. It's a lot to take in, but I'm just grateful to be alive. You've given me a second chance."
During this period, the bond between Elsie and Astricx deepened further. Their shared experiences and the trials they had faced together brought them closer than ever. One evening, as they sat watching the stars, Astricx turned to Elsie with a sincere expression.
"Elsie, these past months have changed me. You've changed me. I've come to care for you deeply," he confessed, his voice filled with emotion.
Elsie, her heart fluttering, met his gaze. "Astricx, I feel the same. You've been my rock through all of this."
Their confession marked the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. Neil, witnessing the growing affection between Elsie and Astricx, felt a sense of loss but also happiness for Elsie. He knew that his feelings for her had transformed, and he now saw her in a new light.
"Elsie, Astricx, I'm happy for you both," Neil said one day, his voice tinged with maturity beyond his years. "You've both been there for me, and I can't thank you enough."
Elsie, with tears in her eyes, hugged Neil. "You'll always be important to me, Neil. Always."
As they moved forward, their lives intertwined yet distinct, Elsie, Astricx, and Neil faced the future with hope and a sense of family. They had each played a crucial role in each other's lives, forging bonds that would endure the tests of time.

Soo. What happened to the slaves from their village?
They get taken to the empire and get used for many different things, passed around by the slavers and sold to nobility of the empire, and are worked to the bone, along with torturous consequences for any minor mishaps, their were few that could survive the harsh conditions for more than a few years, apon the rising of the Demon King things do get easier for the few that survive.
I binged this. I won't say it's epic by any means, but was rather good. However I find the method of rebirth a bit awkward. Here the kid wanted to have her as his wife, but now he's her son, but not her son. Then there's the fact the MC used to be a Man, so the thought of birthing anyone should have disgusted her to the point she just plain couldn't do it. That level of bravery is insane dude! The relationship between her and the Beastman, just seems odd to me. Him wanting her makes sense, but not the other way around. At least not to me. Honestly, I'd have killed myself before living as a woman for even a decade. I just couldn't do it. Too lonely of an existence for me to consider. Can't have a Man, cause gross, can't have a woman, cause I couldn't let them touch me, no matter how much I loved them, or they me. Cause as long as I wasn't male, I just couldn't act on any attraction.
I see.
