In the Countess’s mansion, the Americans are in the dining room, up earlier than the Countess, enjoying a simple meal of soup, bread, and a salad. Little being said they quickly eat their meals, still following their basic training. Before they leave, Doyle looks at one of the maids and asks, “What personal tailor stores would you recommend here?” The maid looks at Doyle, clearing her throat before speaking, “I recommend the Silk Craft, the store the lady uses for her clothing. It is quite expensive though.” Doyle nods, translating back to the rest of them before freezing and looking at the maid, pulling a green bill with a yellow seal, “Do you take invasion bills? This is all we have and you’ll have to request from our government for this to be turned into actual currency.” The maid looks at the bill before shaking her head, “We don’t have any currencies like this, I’m afraid you won’t be able to buy any-” Cutting the maid off, Commander Arthur steps in, “The countess will be gladly willing to trade your invasion currency as you call it with an equal amount in our currency. That is assuming your nation has a large supply of gold. This is a bullion and is worth 100 gold coins, it is worth 10 silver coins, and 1 silver coin is worth 10 copper coins. A gold bar is typically 10 gold coins. We can exchange based on your rate.” Doyle nods, calculating in his head what the gold price was based on the last time he was in the US, before grabbing a paper and multiplying the gram price by 100, “That should be around 120 of our dollars.” Before Doyle can even react, Arthur hands him 40 gold coins, “That should be enough to make an outfit for each of you with accessories.” Doyle puts the gold coins into his satchel, handing the man a mix of 10 and 5-dollar bills, “That should be 480 dollars. Thank you for this. When our actual diplomats arrive they should be able to change your dollars out for gold.” Arthur nods, turning around to head out to the training yard, “Well have fun shopping.” The squad waves to Arthur before following the maid out to the city, making their way to Silk Craft.

When they arrive at the store, the four of them look around for a bit, snickering at how outdated all the fashion is, most of everything looks like something out of a Shakespeare play. Eventually, they arrive at the front desk, drawing out what they want with the different accessories and explaining the color of it. The man at the desk nods, charging them each 10 gold, also agreeing to get them boots that match their drawings and have it done by the next day to adjust for more specific sizing.
