Announcement
b>

Hey everyone, it's your favorite author here. I want to apologize for this announcement but I will have to be dropping the amount of chapters that are being posted weekly down to two. They will be posted Mondays and Fridays. This is due to my travel hockey season starting back up, along with lacrosse starting this month as well. Sorry for the disappointment everyone, but stay tuned for the next chapters!

Time: Ariel 51st, 1447, 10:00. Location: Second Continent, Narnendia, Kharbury

William sits in his carriage as he goes through the city, looking out at his citizens and the few American soldiers who are pacing around. As he reaches the barracks he looks past it, towards the fields being loaned to the Americans, curious to how their base has been coming along. He yells at his carriage driver to stop as he nearly falls out the carriage window, trying to get a better look at the base. Within a day the Americans had set up a base with tents and even small wooden huts around, a strip of the field was completely flat with a line of black minerals lining the entire strip. Large machines moving around, shoving dirt aside, and moving materials around. “What is this? How can they move so much without any magic? If they do all this so fast, what’s to say that they won’t just conquer our entire continent?” He shudders at the thought of being forced to surrender by an army that he invited over.

Time: Ariel 52nd, 1447, 13:00. Location: Second Continent, Aryvanion, Ancold

A man stands at the front of a throne room, standing in front of a well-decorated golden throne, “WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE LOST CONTACT! HOW DO YOU LOSE AN ENTIRE FLEET!? EXPLAIN TO ME ADMIRAL, HOW YOU LOSE AN ENTIRE FLEET!” The man standing in the middle of the room wearing a uniform with nobles standing on both sides stutters, “Um, well, sir-” The man yelling throws a goblet at the admiral, “CAN YOU NOT EVEN ANSWER ME! YOUR EMPEROR ASKED YOU A QUESTION! ANSWER ME NOW OR I’LL HAVE YOUR HEAD!” The man ducks, barely avoiding the goblet as he finally gets his sentence out, “My lord, I don’t know. Maybe a sea monster?” The emperor roars in fury, “MAYBE!? MAYBE!? YOU’RE STRIPPED OF YOUR TITLE AND FIRED FROM THE IMPERIAL NAVY! GUARD TAKE HIM AWAY!” The former admiral stutters, trying to make an excuse but is unable to as the royal guards cover his mouth and drag him out of the building. “NOW DOES ANYBODY HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY OR SHOULD I HAVE YOU ALL STRIPPED OF YOUR TITLES!?” One man in a military uniform steps forward, bowing his head, “My lord, unlike our naval counterparts, the Imperial Army is ready to invade Narnendia at any time that you request. Their military is nowhere near our strength and will fall quickly to our might.” The emperor sits back down, smirking, “Then you shall begin the invasion immediately.”

Time: Ariel 53rd, 1447, 09:00. Location: Second Continent, Narnendia, Kharbury

The city gates open up as a man riding a horse rushes through the gates, yelling for everybody to move out of the way. A blue flag with a red octagon, similar to a stop sign, waving in the wind as he rushes through the city. He reaches the front of the palace when he bellows, “THE FRONTLINES HAVE FALLEN! I BEAR A MESSAGE FROM THE KIXIOR ARMY! ARYVANION HAS INVADED! WE NEED REINFORCEMENTS! WE HAVE BEEN PUSHED BACK FROM THE BORDER TOWNS ALREADY!” The Royals rush into the triangular table as they discuss what to do. Within the hour the doors open wide as Harvey walks into the room with an American soldier behind him, this soldier with multiple stars on his uniform. Harvey stands at the end of the table, coughing to get everyone’s attention, “Royals, I have heard of the news from the frontlines even though nobody decided to bring this to our attention.” He pauses for a moment to let it sink in that even if they don’t give the Americans information, the Americans will find it, “I believe that we should be able to easily defend the capital from them. If you wish we can even move our troops forward to begin engaging the enemy before they reach the capital. Standing behind me is General Eisenhower who has been assigned to this front. Any military questions may be directed towards him.” Eisenhower steps forward, taking the table as Harvey steps back for him, “Ladies and gentlemen, I am General Eisenhower and have been assigned to this front. Previously back in our world, I was the Supreme Allied Commander of the European Theater. As Harvey stated, if you have any questions about the American military I will be more than glad to inform you as long as they are not classified.” The Royals look at each other as one of the women speaks, “I am Talia, and if you do not mind me asking General; how confident are you that your army can stand up to the Aryvanion?” Eisenhower smirks as he speaks into his radio before looking back up at Talia, “Well instead of questioning whether or not I’m confident in my army, why don’t you question if the Aryvanion are confident in theirs?” Eisenhower pauses, putting his hands on the table before continuing, “I will be deploying the 12th Armored Division of the United States along with air support for the offensive against the Aryvanion and the 1st Infantry Division will assist in defense of the capital, and any ground that we retake or capture.” Without giving anybody a chance to refute his decision, he turns around to leave. The Royals all rush out to follow him and see how he intends to move the Americans around to defend Narnendia. A gasp of surprise rushes through the group as they see the American base. Within 3 days they had already built up an entire command post and what seemed to be warehouses throughout the base. The droning of aircraft landing, unloading supplies, and then taking off again echoed through the air. The roar of engines comes to life, startling the Royals as tanks roll out from the base, the cobblestone paths crunching and flattening under their tracks. Soon after trucks full of infantry and jeeps towing artillery platforms quickly follow the tanks. Eisenhower turns around to the group, raising his hands outwards to envelop the American troops behind him, “Welcome to modern warfare Narnendia. We’ll handle the battle with ease.”
