Feeling as light as a breeze, Eli Shan joined the bustling crowd at the city gate, unaware of Feng Qiang's presence.

As he stood in line, he noticed that some individuals were giving money to the guards to enter the city gate.

After a long time, it was finally Eli Shan's turn to enter. He stood before the guard who asked him, "Show me your identity card."

With a nod, Eli Shan handed over his Shan's clan identity card and offered 5 silver coins to the guards. The guard smiled and nodded, saying, "You may enter now. Just remember the rules - no killing or fighting within the city. However, if you wish to engage in combat, you can do so in

the death arena, where life and death battles are allowed. Do you understand?"

Eli Shan nodded seriously as the guard let him pass.

As he walked through the bustling streets of the city, he became amazed by looking at the magnificent merchant stores and the strong people around him. His heart was filled with excitement as he continued to wander. He took out a map from his bag and began to find his way to the sacred city's most prestigious school - The Holy School!

As he walked, his movements were infused with the understanding of wind intent, making him feel light and graceful with each step.

Soon he reached the center of the city and his eyes fell upon a massive crowd gathered in front of an impressive gate leading to a majestic academy. Looking at it, he wondered, "Is this the renowned school of the sacred city? The Holy School? This place looks like a palace, is this really just a school?"

Eli Shan looked at the palace-like school before his eyes and felt content with his decision to come to this place. "I really want to enter this school," he thought with a look of excitement.

Like Eli Shan, thousands of people also stood before the majestic gate of the school, looking at it with excitement in their eyes and determination to clear the entrance exam of this school.

After spending some time at the school gate, Eli Shan decided to find an inn to stay in for the next five days until the entrance exam.

With that in mind, he walked through the bustling market and saw countless people filling the street. Among them, he couldn't help but notice several individuals who appeared to be even stronger than his father.

As he continued his journey, his heart was filled with awe at the beauty of this city. After a while, he came across a majestic-looking inn which caught his eye. Standing before it, a smile appeared on his face as he thought to himself, "This place looks perfect for me to stay until the entrance exam of the school."

As he entered the inn, a beautiful receptionist came and greeted him. Eli Shan also greeted back with a nod and asked, "I want to stay here for five days. Do you have any rooms available?"

The receptionist woman looked at eli shan's tiny and cutest face with a warm smile. "Nowadays it's quite crowded here, but I will try to arrange a room for you, cost will be just 5 gold coins."

Eli Shan heard the price and smiled at the receptionist "Oh, the room price here is so cheap. I

thought it would be expensive in this city. Wait, I will bring my friends to stay here with me too," he said proudly, then walked outside of the inn.

Once outside, he whispered a word, "Wind," and with a breeze of air, he suddenly vanished from that place.

After a while, Eli Shan appeared in an unknown place and thought in anger, "What the hell? My monthly pocket money is just ten silver coins, and even my dad makes only 30 gold coins in a whole year! Does she think I am stupid a kid to pay 5 gold coins to stay in a room for 5 days?"

After calming down, Eli Shan suddenly realized he was standing in front of another inn.

"Shall I have a look here as well?"

After a while, eli shan again went to call his friends... who didn't even exist.

As he vanished from the inn again, he looked around and thought "How do people live here? Are they all so rich? "

With that, Eli Shan made his way to a secluded corner of the sacred city. He found a spot below a majestic tree and sat down with crossed legs. Closing his eyes, he began to cultivate, repeating to himself, "I am a cultivator, I don't need a room to stay and cultivate. I will keep refining my wind intent here until the day of the entrance exam."

With that in mind, Eli Shan delved deeper into his cultivation of wind intent.

This time he wanted to increase control of the wind and find various ways of using wind intent to attack and defend.

As he practiced, he discovered that with a simple gesture of his palm, he could manipulate the wind into hundreds of sharp blades, which were capable of cutting through almost anything. The wind became an extension of his will, responding to his every command with precision and power.

As the days passed, his confidence grew, and he could feel the wind's power flowing through him like never before. He could sense the energy of the wind swirling around him, ready to be unleashed at his command.

Finally, after four days of intense training, Eli Shan stood up and clenched his fist with excitement, "Now I can control the wind many times better than before."

Just as the wind enveloped eli shan and he soared through the sky, he suddenly noticed some miserable-looking people in the nearby village. This village was at the corner of the city, and it seemed to be the home of those who couldn't afford to live within the main city's areas.

Eli Shan's heart sank as he saw the condition of the villagers. Their bodies were as thin as skeletons, and they appeared malnourished and weak. It was evident that they had not eaten anything substantial for a long time.

Looking at them eli shan felt bad and wanted to help them. However, he smiled by looking at himself, because he realized that even he hadn't eaten anything for days.

But in curiosity, Eli Shan flew towards the village which was situated close to the forest where he had been cultivating. As he observed the village and its inhabitants, he couldn't help but notice that the strongest person there was at most at the fifth stage of the Qi Gathering realm. And that strongest person was an old man who looked so frail that he seemed like he could die anytime. The villagers appeared to be in dire straits, struggling to make ends meet.

Eager to understand the situation, Eli Shan approached the old man and asked, "Sir, why does everyone in this village appear to be struggling and living in such difficult conditions?"

The old man looked at the young kid in a nice clothes before him and said with a warm smile, "You don't seem to be from around here. This is the village of the poor, we cannot afford to live in the main city neither we are allowed to."

Eli Shan looked at the old man in confusion and asked, "Then why don't you leave this city? You can go outside and find some better work there, right? I am sure all of you can at least live a better life than here."

Hearing him, the old man laughed bitterly, "Who said we don't want to go outside? It's just that we are like slaves to the city lord. Whenever he needs labor, he chooses one of us. And if he ever finds beautiful girls here, he would abduct them. If we try to leave, he will massacre us."

Eli Shan was shocked by what he heard. "Then why don't you guys ask the outside world for

help?"

The old man shook his head and sighed, "What outside world? Those who are born poor in any city are like slaves to the city lord, no matter where they go. This is the same mentality of the king too. Perhaps the emperor could help us, but for that, he would need to know about our situation, which is impossible as we can't even leave this place. And if anyone tries to inform them, their whole family will be destroyed by the city lord."

Eli Shan was deeply shaken by what he had learned. He couldn't believe that those high and mighty city lords could be this cruel.

As his gaze swept across the village, he noticed some girls around his age playing outside, and they were so beautiful that even the girls of the main city would shy away in a corner. It's just that, their beauty was hidden beneath the dirt and tattered clothes they wore, while the latter were clean and wore beautiful clothes.

Looking at their miserable fate, Eli Shan sighed, "Old sir, if I become stronger than the city lord and the king, then I will free all of you from your miserable fate."

The old man smiled sadly, "Then I will be waiting for that day. I pray for you to become the strongest before those girls turn eighteen; otherwise, they will be abducted by the city lord to become a toy for his fun too."

Eli Shan nodded solemnly, "Old sir, I give you my word. Even if I won't be the strongest, I will not let anything happen to those girls."

As his last word left his lips, he suddenly disappeared into the breeze, leaving the old man bewildered.

However, the old man couldn't help but feel a mixture of doubt and hope. No matter how much he struggles, at most he will become as strong as the city lord, but then what? There were a lot of city lords in the world who were the same. And above them, even the king was also like this.

This child couldn't become as strong as the emperor, right?

As Eli Shan became a breeze itself and went to school, a day passed in the blink of an eye—it was the day for the entrance exam.

Everyone was excited and nervous about the entrance exam, but Eli Shan was still thinking about what he had learned yesterday.

In anger, he clenched his fist and thought, "I will definitely become stronger so that nothing like this could ever happen to my family."
