While the western group was devastated by a recent battle the central and eastern groups were almost completely untouched having faced little to no resistance. And for the army Kranz was going to use to infiltrate the Wehrmacht with it was obliterated by Manstein when he was delivering reinforcements to Klaus because he thought that they were the Coburg's or another rebel army.

'Victory will soon be mine.' is all I could think about seeing the beautiful city

In truth I expected this war to be a bit deadlier if you could call it that and a single blunder probably isn't that big of a deal in my situation. Nuremberg is a beautiful city I thought to myself as canons were being put in place. I have just 10 functioning cannons that are being aimed at the city that currently has more soldiers inside the walls than civilians with Nuremberg's population of just 5,000 the soldier to civilian ratio was 3 to 1. I sat down on top of a hill that over looked the city with my light brown hair blowing in the cool gentle breeze when in the corner of my eye I saw Manstein approaching me.

"The cannons are ready your highness." He said looking down at me reaching his hand to help me stand.

I took his hand walking with him towards the cannons. the cannoneers were dressed in a white version of the Wehrmacht uniform. The cannoneers saluting me by taking their helmets off.

"Cannons are ready to fire my liege." A cannoneer said with confidence.

"open fire then." I responded coming out in a tone that was crueler than I expected.

the artillery fire began and although the cannoneers were extensively drilled, I have every ambition to use Nuremberg as just a massive training target. while I don't blame the people for the rebellion, right now Nuremberg houses more soldiers than people.

Otto Von Steuben was standing at the window of the keep since the Wehrmacht had arrived. He had resigned himself to defeat although not without attempting to win. Count Otto had attempted several sally outs in an attempt to gain something favorable even if not victory, but each time leaving him bloodier than before and each time he could not even get close to the enemy and now all he could hear at night is the thunderous crackle of the gunfire.

"Servant get my horse ready." He said in a defeated tone

*CRASH" the walls that protected Nuremberg could be seen crumbling and the buildings inside the city were torn to shreds from the both direct hits and from the bounce of the cannon balls.

the servant promptly nodded rushing on his way fell multiple times and as cannon balls started hitting the keep he began to run faster.

when the count rode out it was with a white flag over head like his servant rushing all the way, hell even his Horse was making haste.

I was having a pleasant conversation with Manstein in my tent about history as he seems to also enjoy the subject as much as I do while playing chess.

"Your highness count Otto Von Steuben has come here under a white flag." a messenger informed me

'Is that old bastard going to surrender to me or what.' I thought in my mind

I headed with my personal guards to meet with him.

the count was much different than I expected he looked dirty tired and hungry.

"Prince Erwin I am here to surrender, what are your terms?" he asked

"all the territories of any rebel lords will be handed over to me."

"I accept. But may I ask why?"

"I wanted to end the feudal system but never found a good excuse to do it."

"And of my families fate?" He asked nervously

"They will be spared but you must still answer for your crime of treason." He nodded with a sullen look in his eyes

almost as if taking pity on him "Don't worry I will spare your dignity and have your execution in private if you want."

His eyes steeled up looking up at me "I have made my own choices in life and I do not want your lukewarm sympathy, I will have my execution in public just as any other man would at least let me have dignity in that regard."

I nodded and Nuremberg's remaining defenders surrendered. Because I couldn't execute that many people so I just pardoned them since they likely didn't know what they were fighting for. A few weeks later all the major leaders of the rebellion were taken to Munich for their executions. Count Otto Von Steuben and Alexander Von Coburg were the most notable but many other lords and 2 ladies were executed on Sunday April 2nd that would become known as 'White Sunday' by historians as many of Bavaria's traitors were purged this day.
