"Ugh, man, why am I the one carrying all this stuff?"

Another day, another round of tedious classes. One of my teachers asked me to deliver these boxes to the science lab. Supposedly, they contain fragile laboratory equipment. There are at least six of them, so I end up carrying two at a time, making multiple trips until I finish. And I have to tell you, it was not an easy task.

"Finally done transferring these boxes. Now I just need to lock this room up and be on my way."

I quickly stepped outside and began securing the room. As I lock the room, I notice a familiar figure in the distance. Upon closer inspection, Emiko, the heroine, is carrying a small but tall stacked of boxes, similar to the ones I just handled in the science lab.

"Hey there, Prez. Need a hand?" I offer, approaching Emiko.

"Ah, Amano-san. Please, I'd appreciate it." she replies gratefully.

"Sure thing."

I take half of the boxes from Emiko. They're surprisingly heavy. I'm impressed she can manage this on her own. We head toward our destination together.

"Don't you have someone else to help you with these?" I inquire.

"I was supposed to bring them with the Vice President from the Council, but it seems he's too busy with the upcoming school festival next month. The other Council members are in the same boat." she explains.

Ah, so that's the reason. Since when was the last time I heard the term "school festival"? Maybe back in high school? In my old world, I don't have much to contribute to such events, and I barely remember what I did there.

"Ah, we're here."

We arrive at a sliding door marked "Student Council." The room is on the second floor, so lugging these boxes up here must be exhausting.

"Sorry for the intrusion."

"Don't worry, it's just the two of us." Emiko reassures me.

Taking a look around the Student Council room, I notice bookshelves on the right filled with books and documents. In the middle, a small sofa and table likely serve as a break area and meeting spot. On the left, neatly stacked boxes occupy a sturdy storage shelf. And finally, a large cabinet sits behind the sofa, with a window offering natural light. It's a typical room, nothing out of the ordinary.

"You can put the boxes down there, Amano-san. I'll take care of arranging them."

As instructed, I place the boxes beside the shelf.

"Then, I'll be taking my leave."

"Wait a moment, Amano-san. I can't let my helper leave without offering something."

"You really don't have to, Prez."

"Please, I insist," she says, her expression firm.

"Alright, I guess I'll stick around for a bit."

"Thank you, Amano-san. Please, take a seat. I'll prepare something," Emiko says, heading to the cabinet.

With nothing else to do, I pull out my phone and browse in social media. Nothing really intriguing catches my attention, with the exception of some random pictures of girls, which caught me off guard at first, but then I remember the old me, who was such a playboy.

"Thank you for waiting, Amano-san."

As I look up, I see Emiko carrying a tray with a tea set and some fancy-looking biscuits. She pours a cup for each of us and hands me one. I then tried to slowly take a sip of the tea. It's surprisingly sweet, with a hint of bitterness that adds depth to the flavor.

Glancing at Emiko, I notice a slight blush as she sips her own tea. Strange.

"Mind if I have some of these biscuits, Prez?"

"There's plenty, help yourself."

I pick up one of the square biscuits and take a bite. It's deliciously sweet.

"The tea and biscuits are really tasty, Prez."

"Thank you. I usually serve these during breaks with the other Council members. I brought them from home."

So she can also bake too? That's one talented girl, I thought.

"I see."

Then, silence settles between us.

"So, Amano-san..."

"Yeah?"

"What do you usually do on weekends?" Emiko asks.

"Me on weekends? Not much, really. Just lounging around, scrolling through my phone, or watching TV." I reply. Ryosuke in the game spends his weekends chasing girls, but for me, it's pretty mundane. Back in my old world, if I were still a college student, I'd be working a part-time job.

"I see."

"Why do you ask, Prez?"

"No reason, just curious."

After that brief exchange, the school bell rings, signaling the start of classes.

"Ah, we've got PE this afternoon."

"Right, time for the court. You go ahead, Amano-san. I'll catch up."

"Thanks for the tea and snacks, Prez. It was a nice break. I'll head out now."

I leave the room, leaving Emiko behind. She says she'll join us later. I wonder why.

"Maybe that's just how the President is. Who knows."
