Grabbing my favorite soda from the bottom of the vending machine, I celebrated a little from my greatest feat.

"Number 10,000! I have officially had 10,000 Bug Blasts!"

*Ding!*

"Huh? Who's texting me?"

Pulling out my phone, I opened the message from the mystery person, and received a shock.

[Congratulations, using evidence from data taken from our vending machines, we noticed that you have officially drank 10,000 Bug Blast Cherry Sodas, as a reward we will grant you a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Do you accept it? Y/N]

"How? Sure I guess."

Just as I was about to type in my response however, a new message appeared on the screen.

[Then enjoy your new life... Alex.]

"What!? Why do I feel drowsy?"

Falling unconscious, I never noticed my body change from human to something significantly less human. Antenna grew from my head, another pair of arms sprouted from my sides, a large abdomen grew from my tailbone, fluffy fur decorated my neck and wrists, and two beautiful white wings grew from my back.

My current clothes even shifted to accommodate my new limbs, before a portal open behind my sleeping form, a man with a rhino beetle shell stepping out and carrying me inside.

"Mhugh... Ok, I'm up."

Stretching my 4 arms as I- wait...

"Why do I have 4 arms?"

Gazing down at myself, I was wearing a version of my human self's pajamas just made for a moth person instead. Looking at myself quickly, I realized what happened, this was what the message said by enjoying my new life.

"This is... It's not so bad actually, I could live with this, it's not too different from my previous life."

"Alex! Hurry and get to school!"

Getting changed into my normal school outfit, I quickly realized I didn't have my glasses, or rather I didn't need them in the first place, my eyes and everything about me were unnaturally healthy. I drank over 7 sodas a day how am I, this healthy!? Anyways, I walked down the stairs to greet my mother, only to find a similar looking moth woman wearing a business suit tapping her foot.

"Hi Mom..."

"Good you're finally ready, really Alex you need to break that habit of sleeping in, it's going to get you into trouble one day."

I just chuckled in embarrassment, before eating some toast she prepared me and exited the house. Running past my best friend's house, I decided then to try out my new wings, quickly getting the hang of it.

"Alex! Down here!"

Looking down I noticed a rather skinny girl with mantis claws calling for me, one who I recognized as my best friend Marie, a thin wiry girl who practiced karate as a human, translating to becoming a mantis as an insectoid. Landing, I began to walk alongside her, apparently she didn't yet have her wings fully developed and was as such unable to fly.

I had a passion for Entomology so I recognized her as a Chinese Praying Mantis, evident by her wings and the way she held herself, also because as a human Marie was half Chinese and loved god. Halfway through our journey, a slightly short spider girl joined us, my other best friend Poppy, who seemed to be a jumping spider, but I wasn't sure about that.

She looked at me with hungry eyes, but I knew she wouldn't do anything to me as jumping spiders weren't known to eat moths, as far as I'm aware, or at least moths as large as me. I had looked at my wing patterns in the mirror and I recognized myself as a hybrid of a Venezuelan Poodle Moth and an Atlas Moth, making me slightly larger than my mother but shorter than my dad, just like how it was when I was human.

"Hey Alex, how has your dad been?"

"Not sure, I haven't really been keeping track of him these days."

"That isn't good, remember last time you didn't keep him out of trouble?"

"That was an accident and you know it!"

We giggled and laughed, our joy evident in our voices, entering the school, I knew I would enjoy my life in this world.
