Chapter 39: Ablaze

[You were annoyed at the situation. It had barely been a minute since you defeated Dialga, and now, he was back again. You could also hear Jerka's annoying laughter that seemingly reverberated on the battlefield.]

[You couldn't pinpoint his location. In fact, it was as if the voice was within your head. You confirmed this as you didn't see anyone else surprised and confused or referring to Jerka's voice.]

[In your mind, you tried to converse with Jerka, "Pitiful coward. You're so afraid that you talk while staying away from the battlefield? Pfft, I expected better from you, old man."]

[You didn't know if Jerka could hear you, but you didn't miss the opportunity to taunt him. Either way, you couldn't wait to receive a response as the threat was in front of you.]

[Unlike mindless zombies, Dialga's body moved swiftly. It leapt and thrust its arms, trying to penetrate your chest. But you dodged it easily by jumping back.]

[You raised your gaze and looked at the zombie. As it leapt once again and closed the distance, you didn't hesitate to throw a strong punch right at its face.]

[Bam! The zombie was sent flying for about ten meters before it could stabilize itself. It stood immobile for a second and started sprinting towards you.]

[You chuckled as you realized what was going on. And as if justifying your suspicion, loud words rang out of Dialga's mouth, "Kuhahaha, did you forget that this body will not die with your measly attacks!? Keep trying! Let's see how long you last. Kuha-" Jerka's voice was loud and clear. It was rather annoying at the same time.]

['I need to give him a good beating!,' thinking to yourself, you rushed forward and attacked with a barrage of at least twenty punches. Each attack was with your full strength!]

[The zombie's already disfigured face was almost smashed into paste. Your punches were heavy, each leaving a deep impression. Jerka could feel the pain of the punches. Not entirely, but one-tenth was surely transmitted to him. He was wincing in pain, contemplating why he decided to possess the wyvern!]

[Nevertheless, he wasn't ready to let go of the possession. It was because of the transformation that he now forced out of the dead body!]

[You were previously worried about Dialga's true form. Since he could essentially fly, you would totally be in a disadvantageous position. However, you finished him before this could happen. But now, after being turned into a zombie, the same thing was being attempted by Jerka!]

[Gigantic colossal wings sprouted out of the zombie's back. It had the same black appearance yet there were hints of green as if signifying the zombification process. Adding to that, the wings started to grow in size. Following it, Dialga's body grew.]

[The transformation was rapid. You knew very well what would happen once the entire body was formed. It could practically be impossible to stop! Since the zombified body could use the real body's skill, it would be quite terrifying under Jerka's expertise!]

[Instantly, you used the skill Rage of the Berserker not because you wanted to attack physically, but because you wanted to steal its new modified shadow.]

[The previous shadow remained immobile, waiting for your command. Yet, due to activation, its eyes turned red with rage. Of course, it didn't attack even now, awaiting your call!]

[As for the zombie's new shadow, a piercing arm thrust upward that pierced the zombie's body. It had completely transformed into a Wyvern, having a gigantic body resembling that of a dragon, but before it could take a flight, the shadow of the wyvern bound it to the ground.]

["You!", Jerka was annoyed at this happening, and his annoyance only increased when you unleashed your secret move: The Flames of Darkness.]

["Return," you whispered under your breath. Almost instantly, all the shadows that you had created within this short span, got sucked into your shadow and vanished. This was quite similar to the summoning of the Ogre King's Necromancy. Though, so far, you hadn't got the opportunity to see the Ogre King use it. Could he be planning something? You minimally pondered on that quite earlier.]

[Right now, after the shadows returned, the body of the zombie wyvern was free to fly up, but you didn't let it happen. Your eyes burnt bright for a second before getting swallowed by black flames. Your skin turned black entirely while the black tattoo turned white, which ignited the black flames in thin lines. Your hair grew a tiny bit longer and got converted into black flames. Finally, thin strips of flame circulated around your body.]

[You raised your left arm forward and aimed at the Wyvern. You commanded the flames to leave your body and engulf the corpse entirely. "Ablaze," as you said this, the flames burst forward. At first, it was just a ball of fire but then it expanded and divided itself into five chain-like long ropy flames which seemingly spread in all directions and covered the wyvern before constricting and finally touching its body.]

['Can't retrieve the body... best burn it entirely,' you thought to yourself as you focused your mind on the flames. In an instant, the flames increased in intensity and like the waves of a tsunami, engulfed the corpse entirely.]

[In the background, one could hear Jerka screaming in pain, irritation, and anger at the same time as his yet another Puppet burnt!]

[You didn't care about anything of such, and as you continued with the act. Furthermore, taking advantage of the opportunity, you spread the flames to the side with pinpoint accuracy as you burnt down all other zombies nearby. The live goblins were also targets that were reduced to ashes.]

[And since the berserker skill was also active, you rushed forward as you saw the goblin general and the Goblin King being pushed back and injured. The Ogre King and the Ogre General had done a wonderful job in cornering them.]

[As they noticed you at the corner of their eye, they started to run. The wyvern's defeat was already seen by them and with your presence, it would be impossible to win. Therefore, as cowards, they ran with tails between their legs.]

["Cowards," you remarked before aiming exactly at their heads. They were a bit far away and the flames could fail from reaching... but you used this opportunity to check your limits. Flames blazed out of your fingertips which spread and formed a bow out of fire. The string soon appeared on which remained a flame arrow of darkness. Aiming once again at their heads, you shot the flame arrow, whose simple release gave out a gust of wind to the back.]

[The arrows pierced the air and made all the way till the king and the General, piercing their heads exactly at the behind and then proceeding to explode. Boom!]

[That's all it took to take down the goblin king and the Goblin General. Almost as if you had reversed the situation, now, the ogres had an easy win as the remaining goblins who
witnessed this started to run away once again, retreating with all their mights.]

[The entire ogre army watched this with their jaws opened wide. Your team was no exception. You, who were almost on the opposite side, shot and killed two strong beings in the battlefield as if it was nothing. More than that, your appearance... everyone lost words when they saw your majestic appearance.]

[You looked exactly like the God of Death with the black skin and purple-black flames. With rage-filled eyes and a tall bulky stature, you looked so intimidating that one couldn't directly stare at your eyes. Half of the ogres lowered their heads in respect and fear while others never dared to stand up as they fell to the ground, kneeling out of admiration and pledging loyalty.]

[The Ogre King and the Ogre general, with their mouths wide open, stared at you and what you had done. Weirdly enough, you looked quite intimidating to them. An aura of a devil lingered behind you while death itself manifested and fell at your feet.]

["The God of Death...", the title was once again blurted out by one ogre which then turned into a chant by many.]

[On the other hand, you didn't care about that as a series of important notifications rushed in, giving your brain no time to process the information properly.]

[And it was the second one that confused you and made you realize something. You gave off a terrifying amount of killing intent, which was the exact reason for the devil's aura behind you, this time, almost noticeable by everyone!]

A/N: Don’t hesitate to give some gifts XD. Though, just a simple comment like ‘TFTC’/‘Thank you for the chapter’/’Thanks’ will also help. It keeps me motivated! Do comment!
