POV: Autumn Blackwood (Not MC)

「Hi Autumn!」

My body stiffened.

It's like I can't move.

*Sigh*, I just jinxed it by thinking it was impossible...

But how could someone possibly be able to sneak up on me?

The only reasonable explanation is that that person is stronger than me.

I'm the strongest magic-user alive...according to my knowledge that is.

But...who could it be?

Perhaps it's her?

That's a plausible theory.

But, why would she be here?

I've only ever seen her once in my entire lifetime.

I quickly turn around to confirm my suspicions.

Without sensing how it happened I now sat in front of her.

Her rainbow-like eyes, and her black hair filled with what seemed like stars, matched her perfectly.

If someone told me she was the embodiment of the word 'beauty', I would believe it.

That's how beautiful she looked.

「Go on, ask me anything you'd like.」

I look at her.

I can see it in her eyes.

She won't answer all my questions.

At least not now.

「Why...did you create the witches and wizards?」

「Oh, you already knew? That's kind of new to me.」

「What do you mean? Have you already created other things?」

POV: Autumn (MC)

Perfect excuse.

This will help her understand that I have "only" created wizards and witches for now, and at the same time, it's a hidden threat that the "other" creations before the magic-users have done "something" wrong, and therefore doesn't exist anymore.

I put on a little too perfect smile, making the atmosphere kind of creepy.

Who wouldn't be creeped out by someone talking about the extinction of an entire population while having a smile plastered on their face?

「Alright...but you still haven't answered my question.」

She gives me 'the look' while phrasing herself.

She's kinda cute, really.

Just like Selina.

They're just different types of cute.

But, I'm not really sure what types of cuteness exist, so I'll just say they're cute.

Alright, I'm getting lost in thought.

Should I really tell her my real purpose?

She gives me 'that look'.

「You really are crazy! Who would in their right mind, watch as a spectator when there are millions of innocent lives lost in wars?」

「Apparently me. Though I haven't seen any of the wars.」

「I've been sleeping.」

「Sleeping? How can someone sleep for over 400 000 years?!」

「Time works differently for me.」

「Then how can you talk to me right now?」

「Take a guess, because even I'm not sure.」

She gives me another 'look'.

「I'm not even gonna try. So you create things in order to entertain yourself.」

「Yes.」

「And you find it entertaining even when lives are lost?」

「It's not like it's gonna affect me in any way, is it?」

「Sigh~, what's wrong with you?」

「Nothing at all.」

「Alright, what if I tell others about this little talk we had?」

「You won't.」

「How do you know I won't talk to other's about this?」

「Because you won't remember it. At least not until you should remember it.」

I've given a little too many hints her way...it would be bad if she ruined the unpredictability of the events to come.

I gently raise my finger and touch her forehead.

'「Use Minor Skill: Lock to lock away all memories for the past 10 minutes, and let it open when the time is ready.」

Instantly a white glow is released from my finger, and I quickly open a crack in space, leaving a dazed Autumn Blackwood behind.
