Narrator POV

Mizusawa Kazue, Asano Reno, Chino Akemi, and Ueda Emika are staying at the City of Altus for the past five days.

They are with the merchants that sell goods from the popular general adventurer shop “Scale Atelier”.

While Reno, Akemi, and Emika sell the product that Shaina made, Kazue went to take up some quests.

She became a part of a makeshift party consisting of former solo F-rank Adventurers.

Earlier today, she received a promotion to E-rank Status as an Adventurer together with her newly found friends who were promoted themselves.

They celebrated their promotion at the guild’s pub.

It was already evening when she met up with Reno and the others at the Inn where they are staying where the three had just finished selling stuff for the day.

As they were resting Reno noticed that Kazue had been staring at a wooden ring on her right ring finger.

Out of her curiosity, she asked.

"Kazue, I noticed. You have been staring at that ring for quite some time now." <Reno>

"Huh?! Oh! Hehehe, this... this is called an “Adventurer's ring”. It is a ring given to an adventurer who had reached E-rank" <Kazue>

"Oh! so that means you just became an E-rank Adventurer?!" <Reno>

"Yeah, it took me some time but I am glad that I rank up." <Kazue>

"Wow! that's perfect! Did you know that today is exactly 30 days after we've been transferred to another world? What a nice memento to remember our first month in this world, don’t you think?" <Reno>

"Really?! I did not realize that?" <Kazue>

"... 30 days huh... I feel like I have been living in this world for a longer time than that." <Kazue>

Kazue was surprised upon hearing this fact.

She had not realized that 30 days had passed since their class was transported into this world.

"I get what you are trying to say. 30 days, A month huh... Oh, speaking of which." <Reno>

Reno's voice raised as she remembered something important.

"Today is also the day that the Hero’s party would leave the castle, right?" <Reno>

"Ah, now that you've said it. Yeah, they should have departed this morning." <Akemi>

Akemi replied to Reno.

Emika who was also reminded of this fact nodded at them.

"Heroes party... Is Chiho, Mizuko and Eiko with him?" <Kazue>

Kazue asked.

"Yep." <Akemi>

All of a sudden, Akemi wanted to ask a question to Kazue.

"I've been wanting to ask you something Kazue." <Akemi>

Akemi said toward Kazue.

"Hmnn? go ahead." <Kazue>

"You are a good friend with those girls, right? I am surprised you did not join them. I mean, Job Class aside you are a capable fighter. I think you can go with them without having a problem." <Akemi>

"Ahhhh... sure, a part of me wants to adventure with those girls but I rather go solo rather than join their "LOVE RIVALRY" over Hano. Also, I think I am not strong enough to be a part of their party anyway." <Kazue>

Emika joined the conversation Kazue and Akemi were having after hearing the word “Love”.

It seems that Emika was very interested in other people's love relationships.

"I thought you had a crush over Hano?" <Emika>

Emika said all of sudden.

Kazue's eyes became round and were dumb folded by the sudden words she heard from Emika.

"... Me? Have a crush on Hano? AHAHAHAHA no no~ Not me~" <Kazue>

Kazue found her word hilarious as she imagined herself having a crush on Hano like her 3 friends.

She could not imagine herself having such feelings for anyone.

Sure, she had some respect and find Hano Ryuusei as a proper and nice-looking male.

But as a love interest, there was no trace of such feeling lingering in her.

At the current time, the only instance she felt such feeling was directed toward some actors on Television and fictional characters.

Kazue was never close with the opposite sex other than Hano so her option was limited.

"Eh? you're not into Hano? I thought you were into him since he is the only boy that I’ve seen to have a proper conversation with you." <Emika>

"I thought too as well." <Akemi>

Said by Emika and Akemi.

"Eh?" <Kazue>

She blinked several times as she listened to this girl's reasoning.

She pondered over what the girls just said.

It was true, the only male she ever had a proper conversation with was Hano.

When other boys talk to her, she would just say simple and short replies like “Yes”, “Sure”, or “Okay”.

Maybe she never saw Hano as a male after all.

She compared his relationship with him similar to what she thinks of Chiho, Mizuko, and Eiko.

To put it simply, a friend.

"That might be true but I don’t have such feelings for him, after all the only reason I became close to him was because of Chiho and her company who keeps on dragging me with them. It just so happened that in those times it was with Hano." <Kazue>

Says Kazue.

It was an honest reply.

She replied to Emika with the same expression she always wears.

"That's a huge "SHOCK" I suppose. You seriously have nothing for him huh... ARG!! I can't read you at all! I don’t know if you are lying or not!" <Emika>

Emika who could not read Kazue’s true feelings scratched her head vigorously.

Kazue giggled.

Kazue finds Emika’s reaction to being funny.

"You’re amusing Emika." <Emika>

Kazue knew that Hano, Chiho, Eiko, and Mizuko were forming the Hero’s party.

She wondered if only the four of them would be enough to defeat such a large army.

"Did anyone in our class joined their party as well?" <Kazue>

"Nope, but I think the princess of the Empire... Levethy pau Artesia would be coming with them. Ah! also the Captain of the Knights Sir Victor." <Emika>

Emika said while raising her index finger.

"Heeeee~... there's six of them. I hope it would be enough to defeat the demon lord’s army." <Kazue>

"I’m sure It will turn out all right. The members of the Heroes party are really strong after all." <Emika>

Emika casually replied.

They continued talking through the night until they decided to go to bed.

While Kazue was lying on the bed.

Kazue remembers her friends who are on a mission to defeat the demon lord.

Deep inside Kazue's heart, she was worried about them.

Although she may act cold towards them most of the time, she still worries about them.

She is not a person who would not be affected if something bad would happen to her friends.

Her cold and uninterested way of interacting with them was the only way she knew how to bond with them.

Although it was an odd way of showing a bond of friendship, the fact that Kazue genuinely sees them as close friends would not change.

For now, all she could do was pray for their safety.

Kazue had no regret in leaving and venturing into the world alone.

The main reason she wanted to adventure alone indeed was to have fun and have an exciting experience while traveling this mysterious world.

This was not a lie.

Still... there was still a part of her that wished that she could party with her friends as well.

Back in the castle, she knew right away that if she would have joined their party at that time, she will just been a burden to them.

This became clear to her when she saw that her friends were far stronger than her when they trained in the castle together.

She also knew that if she would have stayed longer in the castle with them, they would eventually ask her to join them despite her lack of power.

This became an additional reason for her to leave the castle.

In the end, she decided to leave.

Thinking now, she was thankful that she did not end up together with the heroes' party.

She did not want to be a dead weight to them.

She did not want that.

She did not want them to not hold back just for her.

Kazue knew that if given a chance, her friends will eventually drag her with them.

Kazue was fine doing things by herself.

In some way, Kazue wanted to be of help to them but all she could do was pray to the gods.

Remembering that she had the title, "God of Judgement's Favor" she prayed.

"God, please... protect my friends in their journey to defeat the demon lord." <Kazue>

She said in her prayer believing that with god's favor would her prayer would actually come true.

That night she fell asleep praying repeatedly at the god who gave her its favor.

*************************

The next morning Kazue went to the guild to meet Charlotte, Grace, Amy, and Lucas.

They had already break-up the party yesterday.

Today, they just are having a casual meeting at the guild to eat and talk and also to say farewell to Kazue since she would be leaving the next day.

When the 5 of them had gathered they went inside the guild.

Upon entering the guild they immediately noticed that there are people gathered at the receptionist's table.

"What?! you're not playing with us right?" <Adventurer>

A voice echoed through the 1st floor of the guild building.

Kazue and her party member noticed the commotion.

Charlotte asked one of the adventurers there what was happening.

The adventurer replied.

"It seemed that an adventurer had encountered a high-level undead type monster in the forest and now in critical condition and is being treated at the church." <Random Adventurer>

"UNDEAD?!" <Charlotte>

Charlotte made a shocked reaction after hearing what the adventurer said to her.

"Yeah, unbelievable right?!" <Random Adventurer>

"Alright, everyone! please move aside we still have work to do! to scram!" <Guild Receptionist>

Said the lady wearing a guild receptionist uniform, Olive.

The receptionist instructed the adventurers to disperse.

They followed her and dispersed from the site and went on to do their business.

Following her orders, Kazue and the others also followed her instruction.

Kazue and her party did the same and sat down on one of the tables in the guild's pub and ordered food.

A few minutes later their food arrived and they started eating.

All of a Sudden a man, who seemed to be an adventurer came into the guild.

It was a middle-aged man.

He was wearing light armor and carried a sword.

At just a glance you would know that this man is a veteran adventurer from the way he looks.

Olive seems to know of this man as well.

He went straight toward the guild receptionist's table and whispered something to Olive.

He nods at Olive after whispering.

His face was serious and so did Olive’s after she heard him.

Charlotte and Amy were the only ones who were looking at the man while their party member was either facing the other way or was busy eating.

"There must be something going on." <Charlotte>

"Hmnn? why do you think so Char?" <Amy>

Amy asked.

"Do you remember the commotion a while ago?" <Charlotte>

"You mean... about the undead?" <Amy>

Amy replied.

"Yeah, as you know undead only spawn on areas with a high concentration of negative energy. For example, a dungeon or places where a lot of death occurred... This means something might have happened for the undead to have appeared in the forest." <Charlotte>

"But we still have not confirmed that there was undead in the forest. For all, we know it was just a high-level monster who injured the person." <Amy>

"True, but from the reaction of the man a while ago it seemed that they had confirmed something. It might be safe to assume that they had confirmed the existence of the high-level undead monster." <Charlotte>

Kazue started to pay attention to their conversation midway.

The day passed by as Kazue and her friends enjoyed the town.

Charlotte, Lukas, Grace, and Amy also decided to continue to work together and would register a proper party at the guild.

The party said their goodbyes to Kazue who would be leaving the city the next day.

Or that should have been the case.

Rumors began spreading about the commotion that happened at the guild this morning.

Kazue was walking in the streets and noticed that people had troubled looks on their faces.

It appeared that the news that they heard in the guild earlier was spreading through the townspeople.

Kazue listened to their conversation quietly while pretending to be a bystander and leaned on a wall nearby.

"Eh?! undead is being spotted all over the forest?" <Villager A>

"I heard that undead should not be spawning in such places." <Villager B>

"This is scary" <Villager A>

"Several adventurers are encountering a lot of undead outside the walls. Actually, When I passed by the gates earlier, I saw a lot of adventurers returning from the forest so I got intrigued and asked the guards." <Villager B>

"Is that true?" <Villager A>

"Yeah, I even overheard from the guards that they seemed to have spotted a lot of undead in the forest." <Villager B>

"I wonder what's really happening." <Villager A>

While curious, Kazue went to the gates of the city and saw that the adventurers were returning from the forest earlier than normal.

Some of them had a difficult reaction on their faces, they seemed to be confused.

It looks like they have seen something outrageous.

Kazue continued to investigate the rumors that she hears from the city folks and confirm them herself.

Soon it became clear that there is truth to their chit-chats.

The next day.

The caravan is preparing to travel back to the imperial capital.

But the commotion from yesterday became a hot topic for almost all people around the city.

Our caravan considered postponing the plan to return to the imperial capital today.

As expected, some of the merchants tried to ignore it and pushed for the caravan to leave.

Thankfully there is only one person who has the say If the caravan should stay or go.

After she considered all of the pros and cons.

She decided to just postpone their trip back to the capital.

It was not worth the risk so the caravan decided to stay.

The leader of the caravan did not want their goods and earnings to be at risk.

Although there is a lot of guard with the caravan, there are a lot of undead monsters outside that might cause damage to their goods.

This became even more serious when the adventurer’s guild requested the leader of our caravan to ask for backup in the imperial capital and send adventurers to the city.

Later that day, the Hero’s party arrived in the city and reported at the guild.

Days passed, and more and more undead are being spotted in the area.

The extermination quest of the undead was posted in the guild.

Since the caravan's departure was delayed and it was indefinite when would they travel back to the imperial capital, Kazue decided to join the extermination of the undead outside the city.

Kazue had joined up once again with Charlotte and her party.

Charlotte, Amy, Grace, and Lucas formed an official party at the guild.

The Party registered as the "Water Blessing" while making Charlotte their party leader.

Kazue joined the party temporarily once again and planned to stay with them until it was time for the caravan to leave.

Charlotte and the other welcomed Kazue with open arms.

On the same day, the party took on that extermination quest from the guild.

They went out and went to exterminate some undead monster in the forest.

While walking in the forest they started discussing.

"I wonder if this extermination quest for undead monsters is going to solve the problem." <Kazue>

Kazue asked her party members.

"No this would probably do at all. As long as the reason as to why this undead suddenly appeared here is not solved, I doubt this extermination would not end the problem." <Charlotte>

The party leader Charlotte responded to Kazue's question.

Despite her cheerful nature, Charlotte is somebody you can count on.

Her demeanor and knowledge are what made the party decide to make Charlotte become their leader.

Kazue slowed down to match Charlotte so she would be able to talk to her clearly since she had been walking ahead of her just a while ago.

Knowing that there was no monster around Kazue walked side by side with the Party Leader.

"Have the guild already issued adventurers to investigate the forest?" <Kazue>

Charlotte nods.

"They did but most of them came back empty-handed since there were a lot of unexpected things happening here and there." <Charlotte>

"Unexpected things?"  <Kazue>

"Yeah, the monsters deep in the forest are in chaos. The undead had caused several D and E rank monsters to leave their territories and lose their way in the shallow part of the forest. That itself is causing some adventurers to turn their tail and had no choice but to run away." <Charlotte>

Out of nowhere, Amy joined the conversation.

"We might as well help keep the undead, dead." <Amy>

"Oho~ Amy you said something cool there. KEEPING THE UNDEAD, DEAD!" <Lucas>

Lucas responded to Amy's statement that Lucas found cool.

"Really?!" <Amy>

Astonished, Amy let out a high-pitched voice as she said those words.

Her eyes were sparkling which made her feel proud of what she just said.

"Yeah, yeah, Amy you're so cool." <Charlotte>

Charlotte added to Lucas' remark toward Amy.

"Hmpf, of course, I am cool!" <Amy>

Amy said, but clearly, she was shy about it.

Her cheeks even had a tint of redness to it.

At that moment

"Undead!" <Grace>

Grace alerted us.

10 zombies were walking in a horde.

Amy’s face turned from happy to become pale.

"uwah~" <Kazue>

Kazue made a groan

Her groan almost sounded similar to that of the sounds that the monster she stared at.

The half-rotting bodies of the zombies looked sluggish and moved very slowly.

They were moving slowly as a group.

They were making groaning sounds as they move.

"This is the first time I would ever fight a zombie." <Kazue>

Kazue said.

"Honestly me too" <Charlotte>

"Same here." <Amy>

Lucas and Grace smiled awkwardly as if saying it was the same for them as well.

The party members smiled at each other after finding out that it was the first time all of them would be fighting Zombies.

It gave them a weird sense of comradery amongst each other.

"Alright, I'll be going." <Kazue>

Kazue stood up and prepared herself for combat.

Kazue rushed forward to initiate the battle.

The zombie seemed to not notice the quickly approaching swordsman.

Kazue used her Katana to slice at the undead monster.

With a slightly vertical downward swing, she cuts the body of the zombie.

The zombie was cut from the right shoulder going down to its left hip.

The other zombie then moved toward her direction.

“Uuuuhgraaa” <Zombie>

The zombies groaned trying to chase after Kazue.

Unfortunately, they were too slow to catch up.

Lucas shot an arrow toward one of the zombies that were chasing after Kazue.

It struck one of the zombies between the eyes and fell on the floor.

Charlotte also shot a water ball at one of the zombies blasting off its head.

Just like the zombie that was shot between the eyes with the arrow the zombie fell on the floor as well.

Kazue used herself to attract the attention of the zombie and moved slightly to the left to make a clear shot for Charlotte and Lucas for their ranged attacks.

[7 zombies remaining]

Kazue said on her mind.

Her eyes slightly widen as she saw the zombie that she cut down was still moving on the ground even if most of its body was cut off.

It was certainly still moving.

"Kazue, cut off their head completely from their body, or else they could still move" <Charlotte>

Charlotte said from the rear.

"Got it..." <Kazue>

Kazue remembered the movies she watched back in their world.

To kill zombies, she must destroy their brains, or else they will not die.

this was the problem dealing with zombies.

Although they were slow.

the only weakness of this monster is its head.

It will not suffer a fatal wound.

It will survive even if all of its limbs were cut off.

Because of this when there are enough zombies, they could overpower adventurers with their sheer tenacity and numbers.

Alternatively, the other way to kill zombies was by using fire or holy attribute attacks to deal with them.

Unfortunately, no one in the party could use such a method this was the way to go.

Kazue kept attracting the monster while her party members take down one zombie at a time.

Kazue also decapitated 4 of them in the process and the fight only lasted for a few minutes.

The party continued to fight zombies like this throughout the day.

They needed to do this until the reinforcement from the imperial capital comes.

*****************************

While all of this was happening.

"Looks like everything is moving according to plan" <Stella>

An alluring female said to a little girl wearing Miko clothing.

It was from Stella Nightfall.

The little girl who was wearing Miko's attire replied to Stella.

The two were inside an inn that they rented in the city of Altus.

"Seems so~ Now all we need to do is to wait for the other heroes to arrive from the imperial capital." <Luna>

"I wonder how many of them would come?" <Stella>

Stella asked Luna

"Don't know~" <Luna>

Luna replied to Stella’s query.

"Can you look it up? go to the future and look it up." <Stella>

"I refuse" <Luna>

"...buu~" <Stella>

Stella puffed her cheeks after hearing Luna’s rejection.

Luna and Stella Nightfall are originally gods.

They have decided to take a vacation in the world managed by another god named Gaiah.

They had promised the God of life, Gaiah to make the life of the people from another world as difficult as possible.

She asks them this because Gaiah could not interfere with the lives of people in this world. After all, she was the manager.

This rule does not apply to the two goddesses who are chatting right now.

The situation right now was the first trouble they would cause for the other-worlders.

Luna Nightfall is the cause of all of this mysterious appearance of undead in the forest of Altus.

With her power, she transported a monster from a dungeon in another place into the deepest parts of the forest.

She even transported the dungeon core that was being protected by the undead king out into the open.

At the foot of the hill, she transported those monsters and the undead into the forest.

She did this knowing that the undead king had the power to make an undead army.

The situation right now was like that.

Luna forcibly transported the boss and some strong undead monsters from a dungeon into the forest

Right now, the undead army is invading the forest.

Luna is just waiting for the heroes to arrive at the city of Altus from the imperial capital so she could make the undead march toward the city by transporting the dungeon core into the city secretly.

"I am intrigued by that girl. Sure, she is quite talented but it's not as if there's something too special about her. I wonder why Themis had its eyes on her." <Luna>

Luna said while honestly speaking out her opinion toward a girl she met not too long ago.

"Maybe we'll see later when we let those undead march into the city." <Stella>

"... I would like to test her out before that..." <Luna>

"and how would you do that?" <Stella>

Stella asked while frowning at Luna.

"I don’t know yet but I’ll find a way to do just that." <Luna>

2 days after the hero’s party arrived at Altus city.

The adventurers from the Imperial Capital had just arrived.

The two gods had been expecting them and were looking forward to seeing the rest of the newly transported “Heroes” that the Imperial Capital summoned from another world.

Luna was sitting on one of the roofs of a building.

"At last they are here" <Luna>

Luna said while watching all of the reinforcement from the imperial capital arriving at the city’s gates.

"seems so." <Stella>

"Stella, how many other worlders are here in Altus right now?" <Luna>

Stella used her ability to sense souls to detect the presence of the otherworlders.

She closes her eyes and counts.

"Let's see... another 9 arrived just now. So... 17 are here in Altus right now." <Stella>

"I see. 17 out of 28 huh... that's more than what I was expecting." <Luna>

Stella assessed each other-worlders from the imperial capital and one of them caught her attention.

"Hmmm... Ara, will you look at that." <Stella>

Stella looked surprised and pointed at one of them.

"What is it?" <Luna>

"There is one interesting fellow amongst them that you may find interesting." <Stella>

"What do you mean..." <Luna>

"Look at that child." <Stella>

Luna's eyes widen as Stella pointed out one of the newly arrived heroes.

"That... is indeed interesting." <Luna>

*************************

The adventurers from the imperial capital gathered at the center of the plaza where the caravan sold their goods a few days ago.

They are gathered in the plaza together with the soldiers and adventurers from Altus.

Later on, the guild master of the city of Altus would speak there with the Heroes party led by Hano Ryuusei and Victor Meister.

They have also announced right there that there will be a full-force investigation at the forest to be led by the Heroes party and adventurers of Altus city.

The adventurers that came from the imperial capital used the day to rest and leave the investigation of the forest for the adventurers of the city of Altus.

Whatever the Adventurers would find out during this time is going to be detrimental to the planning for what is to come.

The team of over 200 adventurers started the investigation.

All of them are investigating the forest at the same time.

Stella and Luna also joined the investigation

They are under the guise of being adventurers from another city that were just passing by and decided to help with the investigation.

Both Luna and Stella's capabilities are limited by the body bestowed to them by the god of Life.

Physically the two of them are just level 11 while having an above-average status for their level.

Luna had the advanced job class of a "Magic Knight" while Stella had the advanced job class "Ninja".

Magic Knights are a job specializing in both magical and sword techniques while the Ninja job is adept in sneaky attacks and illusion magic.

Aside from this both Stella and Luna can use their God abilities to their liking.

But both of them are trying to hide the fact that they were gods so they would not use them so they would not get caught.

The investigation started later on the same day.

At exactly the third bell of the afternoon, all of the 200 adventurers ventured into the forest to find a clue about what was happening.

"Luna, look" <Stella>

Stella gesture to Luna with her lips to point at a certain group of adventurers.

"oh~... lucky..." <Luna>

Luna muttered as she saw the person Stella was pointing at.

It was Kazue and her party members.

"Oh, how kind of her bringing along another one." <Luna>

Luna looked at Kazue and her party members with a teasing smile.

"What should we do?" <Stella>

Stella asked the little girl.

“Of course, I’ll use this time to test her.” <Luna>

They followed Kazue's party without them realizing it.

The two gods stalked them.

"The longer I look at her the more uninterested I become. I wonder why would Themis shows favor to such a person." <Luna>

"If you are interested, why not look into the future and see for yourself?" <Stella>

"No, I’ll pass on that. I don’t like spoilers. It feels much better when I find it out for myself in the present." <Luna>

"How ironic, the god who can control time to her will refuses to use her ability to her advantage." <Stella>

"Shut-up. Then... why not control all of their souls and put them into a situation that is easier to manage." <Luna>

"No thank you." <Stella>

"See?! you're the same as me." <Luna>

They followed them nonstop for 3 hours and it was starting to get dark.

The two were visibly bored.

"I guess it's time for us to find a campsite?" <Charlotte>

"We agree." <Party members>

Kazue and her party members decided to look for a camp for the night since it was almost dust.

As they were looking for a site to use for camping.

"Stella listen, listen, I finally have something in mind to test her." <Luna>

Luna whispered something to Stella.

-whisper-

"Oh... I think that would be a good test?" <Stella>

"Right?!" <Luna>

Luna enthusiastically reacted.

"Now how are you going to make that happen? Are you going to do it while they are asleep?"  <Stella>

"No, I want to make it look more natural. So, listen, this is the plan." <Luna>

Stella used her ability in Rio who was looking for a place they could use as a camp.

She controlled her soul without her noticing to go to a place that Luna instructed.

Manipulating people's thoughts.

That was one of the applications of Stella’s god's power.

By suggesting she go in certain directions Stella directed Rio to find the cave Luna prepared for them.

Rio did not even realize she was being controlled.

To her, it was her who wanted to go in that direction.

Where in fact, it was Stella who wanted her to go there.

Luna placed a portal connecting the dungeon where she took the dungeon boss and the dungeon core to cause an uproar in the forest near Altus.

Right now, the place has no boss and only the minion monster remained inside.

She had placed a portal inside the dungeon serving as an exit for the party so they could return to Altus.

Luna decided that if Kazue and Rio would be able to survive and escape from the dungeon, she would say that they passed her test.

Although the boss was not inside the dungeon, this dungeon would still be challenging for them.

Just as planned Luna was able to catch the party into her trap.

Rio led her party members to the trap.

They were swallowed by the portal Luna made to transport them inside the dungeon full of undead.

"Hmnn.. it seems that the plan worked." <Luna>

Luna said after Kazue and her party disappeared after being transported into a dungeon.

"Are we going to watch them clear the dungeon?" <Stella>

Stella asked Luna while looking bored.

"Nah, with their ability it would not be entertaining to watch anyway." <Luna>

"So, what are you planning to do now." <Stella>

"Hmm, wait for the result I guess?... I am more interested to see the reaction of the hero when he sees the sight beyond the hill." <Luna>

"Ahh... I think that would be amusing to watch. I wonder what expressions would he make after seeing the army of undead."  <Stella>

"I can make the monster attack right now but... I certainly want to see their reaction when I do just that." <Luna>

Meanwhile...

The investigation team continued their march and discovered the site where Luna left the undead king and the dungeon core.

The investigation team could not believe what they saw.

Beyond the hill, there were armies of undead gathered.

"Is that..." <Adventurer>

One of the adventurers who saw the army said as he saw the monster in the center of the swarm of undead monsters.

"Yes, Undead King. A boss class monster. How in the hell did that thing end up in this place?” <Guild Master David>

The guild master of Altus said as he saw the monster.

It was a large undead monster that is over 3-meter-tall.

It was a monster giving off an amazing amount of negative energy from its body.

It was wearing clothes similar to a king, with a crown and a fancy set of silver armor.

It looked mostly human but its skin was so pale and a part of its face was rotten making a part of his skull exposed, revealing Its hollowed eye.

The undead king was sitting on a throne created by a mass of skeleton knights making their bodies a make-shift throne for the undead king.

The Hero arrived where the guild master was intently staring at the army of undead.

The Hero and his party member knew right away that the guild master and the adventurers who were standing over the hill were looking at something unbelievable.

They look like life was sucked out of their morale.

The hero swallowed some saliva to prepare himself for what he was going to see beyond that hilltop.

Luna and Stella were already there and were waiting for the hero and his party to arrive.

When Luna and Stella saw the hero’s party, they almost made them smile uncontrollably as they anticipated what kind of reaction would they make when they see the army of undead.

And when they did.

[Alright, preparation complete…] <Luna>

An ominous grin appeared on Luna’s face.

It was as if all of her effort setting this up was worth the wait after she saw the face of the hero.

The face of a man is enveloped with fear and self-doubt.

“Luna… your face…” <Stella>

Stella reminded Luna to make sure no one would see the expression she was making right now.

It almost contorted into a grim smile but Luna was able to stop herself from making a such expression.

“Sorry… I could not help but smile.” <Luna>

"Aa~ I feel that I have just become a villain of some sort." <Stella>

Stella said with a smile on her face.

"What are you talking about? We are gods, this is divine punishment for the other-worlders who had given troubles and failed the god of life." <Luna>

"Speaking of Divine punishment... I wonder what would the God of Judgement feel if you say that to her face." <Stella>

Luna's face became stiff.

"Well... if push comes to shove. I will blame Gaiah for it." <Luna>

"I wonder... It is as if you are enjoying every moment of this." <Stella>

Luna looked at Stella's face.

She then placed her hands over her shoulder.

"Stella, if you think that I am wrong why are you smiling like that." <Luna>

"Fufufu, I never said that I did not enjoy this myself." <Stella>

Said Stella in a very playful tone.

She turned her face toward Luna...

"Ugh... I really hate... that smile of yours..." <Luna>

Author Note:

Alright!

I have caught up on my late update date!

time to do my real work haha!

I wanted to do some illustration of the undead king scene as well as the Nightfall Sister’s Character card but I am too busy right now.

I guess those character cards could wait.

Well, You can just stare at this series cover picture and look at the two mischievous goddesses and imagine them staring at you with yandere eyes. That is how I am planning to draw them later. In the end, I can’t I have to go back to work >.<

Anyway, see you again on Saturday? Or maybe not.

Again Thanks for reading~

I’ll be doing a Kazue POV up next. I missed writing while being on Kazue’s POV after all.
