The most cold-blooded monarch in the history of the kingdom doesn’t ask.
He orders.
And what he wants, he gets.
What does he want?
All sorcerer bloodlines exterminated.
Which is kind of a problem for Gray, because the king’s right-hand man, Major Killian (the most fearsome werewolf in the king’s army), is certain Gray’s the long lost son of a notorious sorcerer.
But, Gray has bigger problems. Someone - something - has committed murders in his hometown.
And no one’s doing anything about it.
Gray can’t bring justice to his loved ones if he’s being dragged before the king to be judged and executed.
Gray will do anything to get free.
Including brokering a deal with the-most-cold-blooded-monarch’s daughter.
Who’s a total pain in Gray’s ass, by the way. And so desperate to escape an arranged marriage she’ll help the son of the sorcerer if it means freedom.

Basically a bunch of fantasy cliches, profanities, and a very slow burn father/son dynamic. This gets dark at times, watch the beginning of the chapters for trigger warnings.
