Lenore has survived in Rosetum for ten years with no sign of escape. She has long accepted her fate to play the game and level up like the Admin wants. When Lenore stumbles upon a couple low level parties bullying a new user, she intervenes to save him. Rescuing the young man changes everything about the game for Lenore, and little does she know, for everyone else in Rosetum as well.
