The protagonist will consistently get stronger, but not in a 'nobody can ever defeat me' sort of way, he will lose.

This story is gonna span a few hundred chapters and I'd like to take my time flushing everything out so for the first few chapters the pacing will make it seem like a slice of life, but that's just to get things going before the story really gets serious - but worry not! The action will come later.
