Jamie Marks is on the rise. He's New York's top goalie prospect, even if he's going through a rough patch out west in Olympic City in the team's UHL affiliate, The Mariners. He's one step away from the show and he knows it.

Then one trade deadline everything changes. New York throws more at him than he knows how to deal with, trading for one of the best prospects in hockey and someone Jamie has personal history with. Plus, he's now got to shoulder the entire load of a championship playoff run if he doesn't lose focus.

At the same time his best friend from college, the one person who truly knows him, shows up unannounced having dropped out of school and gotten on a cross country bus.
