A very fun superhero comedy! Very sweet, and very short!
I have to say I love the idea of a superhero powered by her own pain. It's an especially interesting idea in a more lighthearted, typical "kitchen sink" hero universe, and I'd love to see more done with the concept. But Magnificent Miss Momentum feels like a fully complete story. Most of the major fights feel very "same-y"--Ivy's power is very one-dimensional, and doesn't have a lot of interesting ways to write a fight scene beyond "the bad guy beats the tar out of Ivy for 30 minutes, until she hits them back at the end and instantly defeats them" which would be an issue, if Ivy's colorful narration wasn't as fun as it is. I love Ivy--she's very colorful. That's sort of my problem, though. The story is fun, but it's kind of *only* fun. Feels like it needed more of a breadth of... stuff. You know! Character moments! Drama! Mystery! But, Magnificent Miss Momentum set out to be a comedy, and it *is* a comedy--a good one, to boot!

A good read that is neither long nor short. A good balance of description to dialogue makes an enjoyable to imagine story. Defenitely worthy of a binge reading. It has "momentum" to it. :)
