Especially not when monsters roam the lands outside this sanctuary.
Monsters we must defend against.

I’ll fight while she runs.
Focus while she sees wide.
Ponder as she listens.
I’ll depend on her as she depends on me.
The perfect partners.

Soon, we’ll join those outside.
Fresh guardians of our tribe.
Nothing is going to harm those we’ll protect!

Yet what can one do when the world ends?
When an ancient danger tears it all asunder?
Nothing alive will remain the same.
Not even family can be depended on.
How can anything survive!?

Certainly not without each other.
As promised, we’ll face the world together!
Admittedly, having a choice would be appreciated.
Even I never imagined we’d ever be quite this close.
