Ning finds himself reborn in the world of cultivation. However, as he embarks on this new life, he gradually becomes aware of something amiss. It dawns on him that this realm revolves around a select few individuals, the so-called "protagonists," who endure underestimation and humiliation, only to rise and retaliate following the predictable patterns of clichéd cultivation novels.
Suddenly, Ning has a breakthrough revelation: he is an "extra." Freed from the constraints of these clichéd rules that govern the world, he resolves to chart his own path towards immortality, steering clear of predictable tropes and stereotypes.
Join Ning on an extraordinary journey as he harnesses his sharp intellect and vast knowledge to ascend to the pinnacle of the cultivation world. Discover how he defies conventions, outsmarts adversaries, and unravels the mysteries of this realm, all while shattering the boundaries of what it means to be a protagonist in a world bursting with limitless possibilities.
P.S.: This is a rewrite.
I don't know why the author hasn't posted the latest chapters on Scribble Hub, but if you like cultivation meets slow-life then the author has more chapters posted on Royal Road. At the time of writing this, I'm on Chapter "1.25 Registration" on Royal Road. Free to read, no account required.
I'm really enjoying this story. A lot of cultivation novels have the problem of the world feeling too empty or bland, but maybe since it feels more like a slow-life novel, I can believe that the world works the way it does. I can believe that sects have the need for cultivator farmers, that cultivation requires slow methodical practice, that the sect does offer benefits for joining outside of a vague "protection". Everything feels very well thought out, and definitely helped by the fact that this story is a rewrite.
I would give this story 5 stars, but I gave it 4 only for the fact that I don't know why Royal Road has more chapters than Scribble Hub.
