All Dragons in this story look more or less the same, only mainly subtle differences in facial appearances allow you to tell one apart from another. There are no sub species either.
Generally, the following description applies to most, if not all Dragons mentioned in this story:
The closest visual similarity to anything in other media is Draco from Dragon Heart, only on a smaller scale.
Slightly larger than a human in all proportions. Standing upright (on their hind 'legs') the vary between 7 and 8 foot tall. This conveys in their total length too, snout to tail tip can range between 13 and 16 foot.
Males are slightly larger than their female counterparts, usually more muscular and have a row of three horns down each side of their head, jutting out at 45 degree angles and getting bigger on each row heading back. Make no mistake, just because females are smaller does not make them any less of a threat, generally speaking, females are usually faster, more agile and more discreet than males.
Dark green scales cover the entire body from snout to tail tip and vary in size depending on location on the body, namely the dorsal and ventral central scales being larger, being thicker and more jagged. The face had a basic triangular shape to it with two reptilian slitted eyes.
They have a wide wing span and aerodynamic body shape meant that they could fly at speeds to rival that of the fastest birds on Earth, some over 70mph on horizontal flight.
Their feet, hind legs were digitigrade, which ended in three toes and sharp claws, the front feet or 'hands', actually had a rather human like set up, five digits including an opposable thumb, also all had sharp claws.
Their jaws had a powerful bite, easily able to cause damage equivalent to that of a great white shark with a row of carnivorous teeth lining top and bottom.
Their tail... possibly one of the scariest pieces, it, much like the rest of the creature, was powerful, one swipe of this would completely shatter a human's rib cage. At the end of the tail lay a diamond shaped hard shell, which, upon the owners will, could instantly spring out four sharp blades, two from each side from a thin gap on the edge of the diamond shell. These blades are sharp enough that with enough power behind the swing could chop a two foot thick tree clean in one swipe and be stronger than the toughest Katana made by traditional Japanese craftsman...
To summarise a dragon then, a naturally beautiful masterpiece... but a deadly predator in every way.

Personality traits:
Driven, stubborn, not one to quit nor likes being told what to do, quite often getting her into trouble. But she does have good leadership skills and is resourceful, continuingly coming up with solutions to problems on the spot.
Character past and summary:
The main character and point of view of most of this story.
Male Human Appearance: White Caucasian, blue eyes, dirty blonde reasonably short hair, medium build (typical 'dad bod'). 5 foot 9 inches.
Female Draconian Appearance: Alex, as with most Project Mu subjects has retained her original Human eye colour of blue, albeit it, reptilian slitted and almost luminous now. Other than that she has a typical Draconian figure (See 'Typical Draconian'). Atypical of other Dragons, Alex through her transformation developed an accute Nervous System disorder. Her nervous system is incapable of transmitting signals from her brain correctly to the rest of her body. Meaning that muscle control and organ function will reduce to nothing over a period of roughly 24 hours. Thanks to a Jarvie Industries specifically designed implant in her back between her wing joints. This device aplifies and filters the signals sent from her brain as necessary, keeping her alive.
This implant serves as the basis and birth of an idea for future projects.

Alex's armours... the Mk2 being a prototype for her main armour, the Mk3 making her slightly taller, bringing her up to 7 Foot 6 inches. Her armour was specifically designed by Sarah Jarvie (with some input from Crystal and Alex herself) to protect her better against overwhelming numbers of Human forces and extended missions. The armour does not do as well against the viscious strength and attacks of Draconians/SkyTech, but will balance out a fight in her favour against 3 to 4 enemies (If all is well with Alex and armour is at 100% efficiency).
The Mk3 is a very advanced design, so much so that Sarah Jarvie uses it as a basis for other projects. But Alex's in particular was indeed the first of its kind, boasting built-in regulator for Alex's nervous system disorder which also allows for a direct interface between her and the armour, making her faster and more agile than if any other Dragon was to wear it. Plasma jets are mounted on top of her gauntlets and to the side of her calf armour, which initially was only desined to be capable of supersonic flight (max speed: Mach 3.6 (~2760mph), Alex quickly discovered that if the plasma in the jet was held and charged it releases an explosive round.
Alex chose a primarily gloss black colour scheme with accents or red lines placed all over, eye slits/sensors illuminate red when suit it activated.

Female Human/Draconian hybrid:
Alex got an upgrade...
During the events in Iceland Alex was transformed yet again, this time by the Shard and Reikon's will. This time though she is somewhat reverted back to a Human form. A slim but very feminine physique, c cup breasts, her Draconian side making her slightly tall for an average Human female of 6 foot. She has regained her old Human male skin colour (for the most part) and dirty blonde hair colour, now in the style of a pixie cut (think Captain Marvel, End Game).
She is mostly Human outside, the only Draconian features on show are her reptilian eyes, tail, wings, scale covered hands, forearms, feet and lower legs with bandings of scales tracing up and down her body.
Where her implant use to be in her back in her Draconian form, now rests the Shard. It has bonded with her nervous system, any attempt to remove it will kill her.
Her bond with the Shard has given her many abilities, including to create Jumps, 'mirages' (create 'images' over herself or other objects to disguise or hide them in plain sight), telekinesis... kinetic, void, lacerating and explosive attacks, improved senses (including 6th sense) and different vision types, memory transferral and many more, too many to list and still growing as she learns more with passing time. She is also able to 'halt' her hair growth, and force it to hold it's pixie cut style, she doesn't need to wash/clean herself, brush her teeth... she doesn't even need to eat or even sleep either (unless completely rundown and worn out from a fight).
Another interesting ability is linked with her armour... Just before she was transformed to the Hybrid she is now, she was still wearing her Mk3 Jarvie Industries armour. This has now been combined her, modified and adapted. It can be recalled and retracted to and from the small patch of armour permanently affixed on her back that surrounds the Shard. The armour is a part of her and therefore alive, she can feel through it, though pain is not interpreted as such, the feeling is still there. It can also repair or 'heal' itself, though under normal circumstances, this takes time.
In a subconscious choice, she chose to keep the black and red design from her Mk3, the style too, although sleeker, is still Jarvie Tech reminiscent. She also retained the Dragon style triangular helmet, as a nod to her Draconian past and relations. Fully armoured, her height is boosted to roughly 6 foot 4 inches.
Her top speed in supersonic flight has now also been increased, capable of Mach 10 (~7670mph), but a cruise speed of Mach 6 (~4600mph), making her the fastest living thing on Earth.
Name: Wrex
Age at start of story: 1197
Personality traits:
Good heart, but a broken one. Feels as though he has failed too many people and as a result it has shaken his confidence, but if you're in trouble he won't back down either.
Appearance:
Pure Draconian male, 7 foot 7 inches standing upright.
Character past and summary:
Wrex is well known in the Vanguard military, his reputation proceeding him as a fearless leader and fighter, successfully completing hundreds of missions throughout his short lived career. He very quickly rose through the ranks to become Strike Team Fury's leader. Eventually after a few decades his team fell apart after he rose to the rank of Admiral.
He would, after a few years abandon his role of Admiral, quitting the Vanguard due to his step brother, Skylen, promising revenge on him and anyone he loved, blaming him solely for Reikon's death in Iceland. Going AWOL, believing it to be the best option for the sake of his loved ones and due to believing that the incompetence of the Vanguard/Draconian bureaucracy would fail to catch Skylen.
He's lived out the last thousand odd years on Earth, mostly in America, thankfully ignored by the Vanguard as a recluse, choosing self banishment and doing his best to keep his existence hidden from Humanity ever since he managed to steal the Shard back from Skylen. However, the combination of SkyTech's Project Mu and Sarah Jarvie's interest in it, and Alex brought him out of hiding, back into a life that he never truly wanted to leave in the first place.

Wrex begrudgingly gives into helping Alex and accepts Sarah's offer of making his own Jarvie Industries armour, opting to keep the colour scheme of his old Vanguard armour of satin black with his rank of captain/admiral painted in vertical red stripes over his right chest plate and shoulder. Wrex's armour brings his height up to 7 foot 11 inches standing upright.
Name: Sarah Louise Jarvie
Age at start of story: 23
Appearance:
Human Female, 5 foot 6 inches, petite build, c cup bust, gloss black emo bob hair cut, generally wears darker clothing and hoodies, more casual wear.
Personality traits:
Driven but plays a lot of things close to the chest. Being smart has caused her to feel betrayed a few times throughout her life so is the least trusting than most. But her heart is in the right place, even if she may not want to show it.
Character basic back story:
Sarah, though she would never openly brag about it, is nothing short of a genius, a trait she inherited from her parents. She excelled in her education, graduating from MIT at the age of 18. She lost her parents around the same time and inherited Jarvie Industries and the massive wealth and contracts that came with it. She is driven to succeed to right the wrongs her parents started.

Female Draconian height: 7 foot 1 inch standing upright
After Sarah's incident in Iceland, she makes her own armour, based off of Alex's old Mk3 armour, adapted to run off of a plasma core which is mounted in her prosthetic arm. Her colour scheme is also similar to Alex's Mk3, predominantly gloss black but with accents of purple, a nod to her 'emo' past. Armoured height is 7 foot 5 inches.

SkyTech designation: D42
Adopted name: 42 ('Forty Two')
Appearance:
Draconian male, 7 foot 6 inches standing upright.
Personality traits:
Cool, calm, collected.
Character past and summary:
42 has adopted his new life seamlessly and without consequence, having despised his old Human life. His mum died when he was 5 years old, his dad couldn't cope and orphaned him off. James didn't like his foster parents though and left at 18. He spent the rest of his time in a campervan, working around the country on construction sites.
42 became close to 'Jinx' almost immediately after waking up in the SkyTech prison, forming a close relationship which still continues even after the pair had their memories restored.

For his Jarvie Tech armour, 42 opted to go for a tactical and stealthy appearance. Satin black as a primary with very dark silver accented lines, so dark in fact that they were almost barely distinguishable to the black. The eye slits are a very darkly tinted white, which comes out as a dark grey.

Adopted name: Jinx
Appearance:
Draconian female, 7 foot exactly standing upright.
Personality traits:
Headstrong and hot headed, maybe still slightly immature, having tendancies to ignore orders and rush off into things.
Character past and summary:
Jinx used to attend her local college while still living at home with her mum and her brother, Oscar, who she is very attached to and is the drive to assist Alex and the others. Although she is a handful, her relationship with 42 means the she is easily swayed and calmed by him. The pair became close almost immediately after waking up in the SkyTech prison, forming a close relationship which continues still even after the pair had their memories restored.

Jinx's colour scheme on her Jarvie Tech armour is primarily gloss black, but it had rather thick accented lines of pink and light blue with light blue light emitted from the sensors of her eye slits. This is a colour scheme inspired by the 'Jinx' character from a game called League of Legends that her brother plays.

Draconian female, 7 foot 3 inches standing upright.
Personality traits:
Calculated, cold, motivated by anger for many who have wronged her through her life.
Character past and summary:
She would say - "None of your fucking business." Whether you get a punch along with that or not will depend on who you are and how well you know her already...
Ember has Jarvie amour, that much is clear, making her 7 foot 7 inches when she wears it.
The armour is satin black with decorative gold banding around the edges of some of the armour plates, mainly head, shoulders, chest and knees. This was a design input of Sarah Jarvie, she wanted to give a nod towards Ember's Japanese heritage, giving the armour traditional Samurai styling.
SInce obtaining the suit, Ember had scratched the paint back to bare metal in places on the helmet in the form of ghostly Draconian skull. The skull print was perfectly lining up with the shape of the helmet. The horn covers were etched, the shape of the skull followed the slight contours of the triangular helmet, the dark eye sockets of the skull were illuminated by the gold glow of the 'eye' sensors. The snout had the cut out of a nasal aperture and even the bare jaw line seemed to be half open, showing 2 rows of sharp teeth.
How and when she obtained will be kept under wraps for now.
Name: Reikon

Purely selfish and evil...
Appearance:
Pure Draconian female, 7 foot 3 inches standing upright.
Character past and summary:
Reikon from an early age did not get on with her twin sister and fellow princess, Arisu. Rivalry grew between them as time went on and when it came close for one to be chosen to claim the throne of Draconia, Reikon went to extreme lengths to ensure it was her, only for her greed to back fire on her. Her mother wasn't happy with her illegal and traitorous deeds so sort to banish her to her, stripping her of her powers and restricting her to human form.
She lived out a Human life for 12 years in Iceland, adopted by a Viking family that she grew to love, but her banishment and being stuck in a "Weak" Human form left her sorely bitter. Through other events she claimed possession of the Shard, and was mid process of returning herself to her true form. She was at the point of a Hybrid, half Human, half Dragon (the reason for Alex's later form) when she was 'killed'... Although she didn't actually die... Her soul was absorbed by the Shard. She was pulled from the Shard a thousand years later by the parents of Sarah Jarvie, restricted to the life of a serving artificial intelligence, with no prior memory of her past life.
It was only during the events of Iceland that her mind was truly released into that of Alex's own. Since then she has sought revenge on all those who did her wrong and to once again attempt to rule, both Earth and Draconia.
I strongly suggest you read my other story, "The Shard" to understand all of Reikon's past.
Name: Skylen
Age at start of story: 1197
Personality traits:
Ruthless, unforgiving, harsh demeanor, easily angered.
Appearance:
Pure Draconian male, 8 foot standing upright.
Character past and summary:
Skylen was abandoned as an egg, taken in by Wrex's parents, never knowing and never wanted to find out who his true parents were. Despite multiple suggestions to research into it, Skylen never plucked up the courage to do so leaving him resentful of Wrex on occasions to be brought up on highly decorated military family. Skylen would by chance meet Princess Reikon at a young age and the two grew close very quickly.
This relationship soured what ever good that Skylen still had, his heart winning over his head and making him blindly follow Reikon's will. After her banishment he was demoted but quickly rose back up the ranks for his sole purpose to steal the Shard and attempt to recover his love.

But things didn't go to plan, Reikon's death in Iceland causes him to become even more hateful towards Wrex and the Vanguard, blaming them for her death. He hid away on Earth, with the Shard, looking for avenues in which to carry out his dearly departed Reikon's will... Commence World War II...
The Heart is a source of power, discovered on Draconia millions of years ago. It is a sort of crystal or ruby, the size of a small car. Dark red in colour and almost perfectly formed. It has a noticeable chunk missing from one edge/corner on the side, where the Shard originated from.
The Heart has is very powerful, granting the user anything possible they desire, limited to the user's imagination. You do have to be attuned to it's powers to be able to use them, only normally possible by being raised within the vicinity of it or the Shard.
The Shard is a piece of the Heart (see 'The Heart' for visual description and powers). Although not as powerful as the Heart itself, it's still a force to be reckoned with and the fact that it is small enough to fit in the palm of a hand makes it mobile and dangerous due to it's ability to be concealed.
