an ambitious or ruthlessly self-seeking person, especially one who has recently acquired wealth or social status.

Kurosaki Kageyama is the model office worker: a rising star among colleagues, each one of them sing his praises. Little do outsiders know that Kuro has wrapped everyone around his fingers. Blackmailing, bribery and corruption. Nothing is beyond Kuro's means. As soon as he reaches the top of the food chain, Kuro gets a nasty suprise.

Huh? What's this? Where was he? What are these chains? Is that a tail? He's a girl now?!

This is shaping up as a great series with an interesting main character. The prologue is the weakest part of the story as it has to establish the main character's unsavory personality in a relatively short word count. As such, it can come across a bit ham-fisted.

To that point I'd recommend reading the first few chapters proper even if the prologue doesn't grab you, otherwise you would be doing yourself a disservice.
