Eons ago, the world of Talthis was upheaved by the arrival of the C'thraxxi scourge. Through the collected efforts of the old world kingdoms, the foreign advance was stemmed by the seven brave legions of mankind, who drove a mission to destroy the portals, stranding themselves upon the alien homeworld of Cruxxon and saving the races of Talthis from extinction. The legacy of their sacrifice dissipated into legend in the old world, while the remaining legions founded a new chapter in the story of humanity in the new one, continuing the saga of general strife, ideological struggles, technological innvations, and bloody revolutions.

And now the portals are beginning to reopen, and one of the largest countries on Cruxxon have sent an expedition to Talthis, to determine whether it is worth it for the two worlds to be brought back together.
