The world had finally found peace, when the Great Chasm appeared, spewing forth a deluge of demons.
At the Grand Duke's behest, three figures took up arms and braved the deep to put an end to this invasion:
The Warlord, a trusted tactician under the previous Duke, and veteran warrior elites at his command.
The Fell Scholar, a penitent master of dark incantations, seeking redemption alongside his students.
The Hero of Providence, one who stands at the pinnacle of humanity, with many companions at his side.
Holders of [SKILLS], rare supernatural abilities, were drafted to join the ranks of the Hero's companions.
The three of them set out and descended the Great Chasm, burning and slashing through droves of ravenous fiends.
However, fate did not smile upon the expedition party. They are all slain, down to the man, and their [SKILLS] and vitality are plundered.
Only, Rob Road, the dead Hero's companion, stirrs back to life after the fighting. His body, battered and broken. His [LUCK] stat, reduced to 0. His goal, to climb back to the surface and escape the sunless deep.
