“ Where are you running, little mouse?”
The warmth of his breath fanned against the nape of her neck. He leaned forward pushing her against the course cavern walls. She winced at the force applied on her fragile wrists clasped above her head.
“L-let me go!”
He paused for a second, a rich masculine chuckle rumbled from his chest. His chuckle was light, and laced with a hum of amusement.
“ Once caught, I never let my prey go.”
She squeezed her eyes shut tightly. This had to be a dream! This man wasn’t human, no human was that perfect. His muscles were evenly distributed over his body like a Greek sculpture crafted by the finest stone.
The only thing that assured her that he was not a delusion was a rising and falling of his tanned chest. What left her most baffled was the matching set of jet feline ears and tail, that moved naturally.
His unnerving emerald green eyes stared at her, his pupils contracting into vertical slits. He seemed excited by the blood drawn from her wrist by his sharp nails.
Moments later she felt the prickle of his rough tongue against her wrist.
“ You taste sweet.”
