Warning on Spoilers before Reading any Glossary entry

This may or may not spoil things for you. A lot of this project is still stored in my head, and I can't truly keep track of what I've put in chapters and what I haven't. Part of the reason why I'm writing these entries is to order these things in my mind.

I intend for the glossary to be as thorough as possible, though obviously I will keep future "reveals" hidden, and in general any given Glossary entry will start with well known in-world information and will lead into more obscure data points.

Coven-Sign
The people of the Lower Marshlands have devised a set of complex hand signs to communicate with each other without producing sound. While it was a must a few hundred years ago, it is less so now but the tradition is still alive and well.

Outside of the Lower Marshlands, the Coven-Sign is often seen as rude, unrefined, or primitive. Even though many understand its practical value, "Marshlanders" are often discriminated against because of the use of their signing, as it inadvertently implies that they have things to hide, or deliberating nefarious intents.
Chromatic Sciences

The Chromatic Science, also known as the Chromatics Arts, Chromancy, Infusing, or many other more or less technical terms across the world, is the study and application of the eight Colors of Power.

Each Color of Power, namely Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Black, and White have the potential to yield certain properties that can be infused by any capable individual. The energy, once released, is transformed into a tangible effect in the world.

Infusing is not an intuitive process, and generally requires some amount of knowledge and practice, much like playing an instrument. Many cultures pride themselves in teaching ways to harness Chromatic power, but can paradoxically be quite secretive about their own methods.

Characters
Farros
A Crimsonspeaker hailing from Goldranas, he is traveling towards Oglios, the largest city in the Frostbanks.

He is accompanied by Skajil, an old acquaintance of his father, as well as two marshlanders, Galena and Slaapir, who supposedly know the area.
Imil Kwandau

A mortician living in Oglios, the man is dangerously close to retirement age. He joined the Scorched Circle at a young age, though he avoids contact with fellow members at present. Currently embroiled with certain elements of the city's underbelly, he is keen on figuring out a select few mysteries and dish out his very specific brand of justice while mentoring his grand-niece Kara who he hopes will not follow in his footsteps.
