Little is known of the legendary Elders that the Elves praise so worshipfully- that they are responsible for all of Creation is a topic of great debate among scholars the world over, no matter what the nigh immortal Elves say. What is known, however, is that the Elves claim direct descent from those time shrouded demigods, shapers of the primordial forces of earth, water and aether who stoked the flames of Creation as well as all the creatures who live upon It. They praise the Elders for their gifts of long life, unearthly beauty and unparalleled magical ability. Far across the White Ocean, the Elven Realms repose ever wary and watchful of the mortal races with few ever deigning to leave their guarded shores. Such isolation and distance from mortal squabbles is encouraged by the Lords and Ladies of the Concord. The Moon Elves rule the moon-drenched isle of Endrillond, that benighted land of shadow and ice which guards the Edge of Night. Across the Sea of Stars, the High Elves claim Risillond as their home, the high peaks and mountain ranges which rise above all the world. In the shadow of Risillond lies Anuellond, domain of the Wood Elves where ancient trees guard spirit haunted groves. To the west, flitting among the rocky islands filling the Sea of the Ancestors on their slender ships, duel the Sea Elves of Eliniathe. To the south, under the burning eye of Udroniathe's volcano, the scholarly Light Elves seldom leave the sanctuary of their subterranean university-cities but to share of the bounty which wisdom brings. The Concord of Elven Realms stands as the single oldest nation in all of Creation, with nearly 30,000 years of uninterrupted and recorded history. They are the envy of Druids, the mentors of Sages and the salvation of the Northerners. They are Elves.
