our protagonist is one of the millions of displaced people who seek to survive with his family in what remains of the world

before his last breath, a meteorite hits the region where he was, receiving a second chance to live

John's return is not to change history, it's just to save as many humans as possible, because this war is only the beginning of the world apocalypse.
