Eyrian Blessing

The state in which a human is considered "Blessed by Eyrie", the land of the gods. Having an Eyrian Blessing is necessary to use Eyrian Auras. In addition, those without an Eyrian Blessing are forbidden from living in the Great Civilizations.

Hollow's Dawn

The Hollow's Dawn is a Ritual which occurs at the dawn of each new decade in Shadow's Pass, in where the village must offer up one child to the God of Nightmares, Necrosis. Nobody knows what happens to the child offered, but it is safe to assume they shortly thereafter become deceased.

Since Shadow's Pass has existed continually for 200 years, as of 3165, this would mark the 20th Hollow's Dawn of the village's lifespan.

Standing

A term used to describe the contributions to society one has in Shadow's Pass. A person with Standing has performed an amount of labor greater than those who are accusing them, and as such get paid in reparations by having the any accusations against them dropped.

Items
Mantle

A Mantle is a piece of crystalized core commonly found in monsters of all threat levels. The difference between a human and a monster is said to lie in the mantle: if one possesses a mantle, they are no different from a monster.

Each individual mantle is said to hold 1 Power Unit (PU), and five can output as much energy as three AA batteries. However, they last much longer, upwards of nine months with constant use. They can also be used at a catalyst for certain bounded fields, such as barriers.

Location
Shadow's Pass

A village located towards the center of Grim Valley, surrounded by monsters and protected by a bounded field barrier gifted to the village by the God of Nightmares, Necrosis.

Spoiler

The village was named "Shadow's Pass" at the suggestion of Necrosis to Clementine's great great grandfather, who equated the ash which rolled in through the barrier at the dawn of each new day as "shadow's which swept the land of effort for despair".
