The crystal of protection is an important part of the underground. It protects, blocks out Predators, keeps the peace, and prevents the blood moon, a strange phenomenon that causes the Critters living in the underground to lose control and become bloody, mindless Monsters. But an Earthquake causes everything to go downhill. With the crystal all broken up, Kanna, Tsuki, and Daisuke join some Animals on a quest into the underground to find the crystal and fix it up. But along the way, they will have to look out for the Animals in the underground that have been affected by the cursed moon. And Daisuke ends up meeting a strange she-Kitten.
