Digitised items and organisms can be recovered by recovering their health points or durability, regardless of severity of damage. 
Digitised items and organisms are immune to damage below a certain threshold, usually 1hp of damage or 1 point of durability.
Digitised organisms can 'level up' based on their actions and experiences, while digitised items can be 'upgraded' in various ways.
