Sean is a 12-year-old boy, but his whole world turns upside down when the hero he always admired and wished to become kills his father. As he faces imminent death, Sean is saved by two individuals. One of them is Sarah, who later becomes his mentor throughout the novel. The other is an old man who sacrifices himself by staying behind when they are surrounded by the pursuing heroes. The old man acts as a distraction, allowing Sarah and Sean to escape. Unfortunately, the heroes capture the old man, and he endures relentless torture as they try to extract the secret hideout of the villain from him. Despite their efforts, the old man refuses to divulge any information. Frustrated, the heroes devise a new strategy involving a secret agent who will masquerade as a villain, attracting the attention of the heroes and eventually being rescued by a real villain. These events are set to unfold in future chapters of the novel.
After successfully escaping and reaching the villain's headquarters, Sarah heads directly to the director's office to report the completion of their mission. However, their success comes at the cost of losing a great agent, Sherlock. Sherlock, who possesses the ability to see the future, had already foreseen the outcome and planned the best possible course of action to minimize the risk of losing both agents and the child, Sean. Sean possesses the power to shape the future, but what Sherlock couldn't predict was whether Sean would bring about the end of the world or save it from the oppression of the villains. Fueled by his deep-seated vengeance against all heroes, Sean's anger threatens to consume him. Unbeknownst to him, his sister and mother have been led to believe a blatant lie, unaware that both he and his father are alive.
