What if the great war never ended? For 70 years, the major powers have fought across the Earth. The United Allies, The Kingdom Alliance, The Central Empire, the big three nations. They destroyed our homeworld with their bombs, their gas, their nuclear fire. Now we've pushed out into the stars, beyond our planet and then our solar system. The year is 1991, and the Great War rages ever more fiercely in the asteroid belts, on the moons, deep in the labyrinthine halls of industrial orbitals, and in the strange mud of distant planets. For every colony and station destroyed in the war, two more take their place, full of desperate people trying to survive. That's life for many an unfortunate, slaving away in mines, factories, Agri-stations, or onboard merchant ships desperately trying to stave off starvation for one more day in some far flung system.

There are others too. Outlaws, exiles, secessionists and rebels. They live in the fringes, on the edge of the jump gate system. They're either hidden from the major powers, or ignored for lack of strategic value. Space stations that were forgotten long ago, failed colonies, asteroid mines that ran dry. This is the type of place where Marauders are born. Pirates, terrorists, free men and women, what they are is up for debate, but it can be said with certainty that their numbers are growing. This is the story of one of those Marauders, his first foray into the wide world of stealing from and shooting it out with the major powers. Hero? Villain? It doesn't mean much at the edge of nowhere, Guppy just wants an apartment and a cheese burger.
