Floogs are a race that has been persecuted for as long as Ashley, a non-floog, could remember. As a newly minted floog-rights activist, Ashley vows to build a world where floogs and non-floogs coexist peacefully. However, some vicious racists, also known as anti-floogs, do not see it this way. During the weekly Floog Lives Matter protest at her college campus, gunshots are fired.

Fearing for her safety, Ashley flees with her friend and three floogs to an abandoned warehouse. She then sighs with relief, feeling that she has avoided the danger.

However, she's about to discover the danger is closer than she imagined.
