His son Eric however, was used in a minor scam, which brought him into the path of Ant-Man again. But after clearing a misunderstanding, he was sent free, and instead worked together with Ant-man to solve the case

A skilled hypnotist, pickpocket and master in minor electronic and tricked gadgets, Eric mastered all his father thought him, and now approaching 30, had hardly made anything of himself and was an anonymous bystander in New York as life passed him by

Eric always dreamed of being a superhero like Spider-man, perhaps a magical hero using his skills acquired from his dad.

But the best laid plans however often go awry, and Eric's dreams of becoming a super-hero soured the more and more he plunged into depravity
