The Non-Human Society is a shell of its former self.

The Society is crumbling. Its members are scattered. Its ideals faded. Its heart broken.

Renn joins seeking purpose... finding Vim, the Society's weary Protector. However Vim guards more than the Society. He also hides a past she can't yet grasp, one unraveling with every step.

As betrayal stirs from within, enemies draw near, and old wounds begin to rot, Renn and Vim must face a question neither are ready to answer...
